After making an online booking for an in-home euthanasia I called to ensure that this was actually going to be our blessing. Not only did they were reassure me that they would come but I received a phone call and a text message that someone was on their way. This was over and above what was shared. Dr. Elhe was compassionate and took the time to know our story and what an EPIC dog she was helping put at peace. She even sent a card sharing her sentiments. It was just a few days later that we received notification that Remus's ashes would be coming soon. We could not be more grateful!!!

I wanted bloodwork which was an extra charge of $300. They said they really didn't think she needed it but they would do it if that's what I wanted. Totally upfront about all costs and by that evening, my pup was acting normal eating again, it was like a miracle. I had no idea she was in that much pain. They called me with results from the bloodwork in two days and they were right there was nothing else going on. I'm so grateful and they just treated us so well and so kind and understanding. I really can't say enough nice things about my experience there.

We called around for a long time looking for a vet that was affordable for us, with good reviews, because we care! This vet has by far the most affordable rates we found. Note that this vet, does require a deposit upon booking your appointment- which didn't bother us. Upon arrival the lobby appeared clean, front desk staff was attentive and greeted us by name at the desk! We waited maybe 2 minutes before being escorted to our private exam room for the appointment. The appointment went fairly fast, they listened to our reasons for bringing our cat in to be examined, collected his vitals, and prescribed us with a medication to try for his symptoms. No extra tests, no BS! The Veterinarian and Vet Tech were very friendly and gentle with our cat. They were knowledgeable on his body language signs, and mindful of how nervous he was. They had treats on hand and dealt with our cat's polite stubbornness with grace! The medication prescribed was affordable and easy to administer; also very effective for our little guy who is feeling much better now! Our experience here was very memorable, and we are so happy that we brought our cat here after such careful consideration. Affordable, comfortable, quick, and effective!!

I hate to have to write bad reviews, but this place really takes the cake. I just brought my 11lb…read moredog in for a nail trim, and called in advance for an appointment. They said they could get me in right away - and they would do just a nail trim. I brought my little sweetie in, and after 5 mins they brought her back out. Then I went to check out, the receptionist announced to me that would be $49.14. Are you insane? $50 for 5 mins work requiring little expertise. When I questioned them about this, I got a song and dance regarding how they always include a tech fee with the $21 nail trim charge. I asked them why no one mentioned this when I called for the appointment. No response. I never even got an apology. I can get the dogs nails trimmed up the road at the Petsmart for $12, less than 1/4 the cost, On top of that, Petsmart actually does a slightly better job. For $50 they did not even grind her nails, leaving them shorter but still rough. The owner of this place gave me a great story about how much she loves animals, but failed to tell me she loves money a whole lot more! She should be embarrassed. Having lived in both California and New York, I've never paid $50 for small dog, quick nail trim- and this in places where $2M fixer upper homes are common.

A regular check up, that lasted less than 15 minutes will run you from $60.00 to $80.00 without any vaccines or meds. My old vet did not charge the half of that. Inside it is very clean and I didn't get a feeling like I was pressured about anything. I would go back if the prices were little more reasonable.

I've been bringing my pets here since at least 1997, when it only had one doctor!…read more Over the course of years since that time, I have had 6 different pets that I would bring in for anything from basic wellness exams to neutering to dental care to end of life care. The care and compassion I have been shown for each and every one of these events, had never been shown to me or my family at any other vet I had been to previously. HCVC is very caring, yet no nonsense. They will not sugar coat anything, but they will say what they need to with respect and empathy. If you feel you don't connect with a particular vet, you can request to see a different one at your next visit. Regardless, you can tell that everyone here loves animals, and that this isn't "just a job". Prices are right in line with other places, and when you are given a quote, they will always go high to give you a chance to prepare for a "just in case" scenario. I was recently quoted about $1100 for a feline dental with 2 extractions, but it ended up being less than half that because extractions weren't needed. I received after care instructions at pick up, and got a call the next day to check in and see how my cat was doing. Overall, I have had consistently great service and care, and plan on bringing my furry family here for many more years. 2/2025
