Second, he tried to get more money out of us for the job after we approved his bid. He claimed that he didn't know about the scope of work. I offered to show him the material that we were using, but he declined. I gave him a drawing of the design that we wanted with the tile, and he said that the drawing was small. Even with that being said I told him that we wanted to be fair and that we would meet him halfway with an increase but, he said that he would let it slide because I was a repeat customer. Third, he lied to us almost on a daily basis about when he was coming to work. He came late or not at all. We thought we were going to get a good job in the end, so we let this slide. The job drug on forever, and finally, he had 3/4 done, and we needed the granite installed before he could finish. I contacted him the day the granite was finished, and he lied for two more weeks about coming to finish until we caught him in a lie about being out of town because of a family members illness. We called him on a different number, and he was on a job site with construction noise in the background. He then came clean and admitted that he was not coming back to finish the job. He left a mess with the tile work. The tile wa) s not level, crooked, raggedy cuts. We had to find someone else to finish the job. Don't use this company! Feb. 22, 2020, he went, gave me a great estimate, said the job would be done in 3-4 days, asked that I send him $300 as a deposit so he could get the materials (insulation, sheetrock, tape, and joint compound) and get started right away. He fixed 2 small patches the same day and part of a wall in the living room. Two days later (Feb 24, 2020) he was supposed to go back, but didn't, he said the sheetrock got wet with the rain and would be there the next day. On the 3rd day (Feb 25, 2020) when he said he would go, he never showed up or called to say he wasn't going. The same thing happened the next day (Feb 26, 2020), however, that evening he sent a text saying he would be at the house from 7-10 am on Sat., Feb 27, 2020, and wanted to make sure someone was available to let him in. Arrangements were made and once again he failed to show up. I called and texted him several times that day and got no response. I reached out to the person that referred him to me and was told that his phone had ended up in a pool and he was working on getting a new phone and would call me later. Five hours later I still had not heard from him. I sent him an email hoping tp have some communication from him and still nothing. I didn't reach out to him on Sun., Feb 28, 2020 so as to respect his time with family and reached out again on Mon, March 1, 2020...I got no response!
