Frank is the real deal. What I had going on was WAY beyond just programming a couple keys. I'm not new to automotive mechanics myself and had screened plenty of YouTube videos about my situation. It was COMPLICATED! Without going into too much meaningless detail, I'm just going to say, Frank fixed my whole ignition system, on the spot! Not just a new key or whatever. I called Frank of Frank's Locksmith, He was easy to find on the search engine. Before calling I checked out the reviews and there was a mixture of reviews. I'm glad I overlooked the negative ones. (Those bad reviews didn't seem legit amongst the other good reviews. I found many holes in their stories they sounded as in cahoots with each other, very immature and very entitled.) Frank was all the opposite of what I read. His van's name was just like it is on the web. As I explained my problem to him about my vehicle he patiently listened, was not quick for a 'sale' and did not change price. From the time he arrived to the time he finished the job he was very professIonal. Very pleasant experience. I have used him twice and would recommend him to anyone. read more

I calledFrank of Franks Locksmith (Adkins Locksmith) because I discovered, in passing, that we had a mutual acquaintance and thought he would be an honest locksmith to make a spare key for my Mercedes. I should have listened to my first instinct that told me something was wrong when he was so desperate and insisted on coming right away, making me feel pressured. I typically make appointments with businesses so that I have time to research their reviews but he was so desperate to come by right away so against my better judgement I agreed. While waiting for him to arrive I proceeded to look for reviews for Frank's Locksmith but no such business could be found under this name which is what's on his business van currently. This made me nervous but he was already on his way. I only learned after speaking with him during the process that he was previously Adkins Locksmith. Everything seemed okay until it was time to pay for the service at which time it was more than the amount I was given when we spoke over the phone. He acted dumb-founded and insisted that the price that I was expecting wasn't the price he quoted me as if I just randomly picked a number. At that time he became rude and argumentative and talking over me and not letting me speak and finally I had no choice but to pay the price because he made sure to get the key back away from me after I tested it to see that it worked so the key was in his pocket, what was I to do. After going back and forth he decided to scratch out the amount and put the extra amount as taxes to justify the payment amount. Taxes may have made sense if he had not repeatedly denied the quoted amount to begin with. Just very shady. I wouldn't recommend Frank's Locksmith. Why would your business not be visible for consumers to check out. At minimum businesses can post their business free on Yelp and Google. It appeared Frank's was hiding from the negative reviews under Adkins Locksmith. Why so deceitful in your customer service. In today's technology one could easily text a consumer with a quote and details about the service, or again get details from a business' free Yelp or Google website page. Why would a consumer have to ask for a receipt. Not very businesslike. At the end of the day the cost was still less than Mercedes so if the key works when I need the spare it'll all be good. I'll just be praying and anxious in the meantime that that's the case. Not a comfortable experience. read more

BEWARE... Contacting Frank Ramos and Adkins Locksmith was a nightmare. I've never experienced such poor customer service. Mr. Ramos started talking over me and yelling. Then when I asked him to stop, he hung up on me. I just simply called for was a quote. I tried to give Adkins Locksmith a chance. But all of their negative reviews must be true. read more
