This place was convenient for me - right off sepulveda and Vanowen. There's parking in the back so you can get your keys duplicated pretty quickly. Went before work so they open early and I was in and out in a few minutes. We also had our office keys done here and they charge a good price $2.50 for regular keys and $5 if you have those do not duplicate keys. What class acts! Professional, quick, competitive prices. We called dozens of other locksmiths asking for a home security evaluation. Most of them were confused, rude or said no we don't do that. This company asked a few more questions and together we learned I simply wanted someone to come out and check my windows, doors and exterior of my home for recommended updates to make my home more secure. They've installed four strike plates, a locking mechanism for my sliding glass door, a MUL-T-LOCK deadbolt for my front door. Our car keys from the Volvo were giving out, breaking in pieces, we even tried to glue them. Why? Because the Volvo dealership quoted us $500 for a key to be redone. We did shop around but got a bit lower prices, but nothing great. We gave up for a while, took that glue gun out, put it to use. But the situation was making us nervous, so we asked Alfred from Swedish Auto Tech for a reference. He told us to try Lock Solutions. And we did, we stopped by yesterday afternoon. Lock Solution is located on Burbank Blvd (between Vineland and Lankershim) inside a shopping center with a 7-11. There's a big parking lot, but watch out, everybody drives kinda fast in and out of the place. The shop is small, clean, we were greeted immediately, we did another set of regular keys for another car ($5 since it had no fancy chip inside). We were quoted $250 to have a key made for the Volvo. Everyone was nice, friendly, easy to talk to, had humor. Your nice mom and pop, local store. So we set up an appointment for next day at 10 am. We got there on time and the specialist was waiting for us (always a good sign!). He was also very nice, offered to check the keys, see if he can save the chip and save us more money. And he did, so we paid $90 to get one key made. We decided to take advantage of his great skills and expertise and get one more key done. We appreciated his talent, he was nice, fast and good and why not give them more business since they were cutting us a major deal? Everything was done in half an hour. Great work, fast, saved us a lot of money. While everyone was nice and pleasant. I appreciate everyone at Lock Solution. They could have charged us more, since we know nothing about keys, but they chose to be honest and save us money and put the customer first. So rare nowadays. For anything key related, locksmith for the house, cars, etc. I'd go to Lock Solution in a second. I'm still amazed by their great services! read more

I doubt that there will be any other locksmith business I'll be going to! I was literally stuck in front of a grocery store, unable to start my car because my car key had broken off of the alarm key. The two gentleman at Lock Solutions were so patient and guided me until I was able to start my car and head to their location. Once I arrived at their shop, they quickly had my keys replaced and provided me with a stronger alarm key at no extra charge. The customer service was exceptional! So, funny story. I just bought a 2004 Honda CR-V, but it didn't come with a keyless entry remote. So I went to a spot in NoHo and the guy connected the key fob to my car, but when I tried to use the lock function it wouldn't work. It only opened with the fob. I was actually staying at a local hotel for a night while my apt was going through repairs to de-stress (haha) and my key fob for my 2014 corolla FINALLY died. It'd been going for a while so it's my fault for ignoring it tbh. I called Lock Solutions, told them I was at the Garland in the parking lot (around noon i think) and had to check out at 3. Chris quoted me for a new key and fob over the phone, arrived not long after, AND brought the price down since my car can't get a new fob made. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a 2in1 switchblade style copy made for my Genesis coupe key but I could tell the programmer knew what he was doing and was bummed out when he couldn't make it happen. Totally understandable since it's a less common key type but he actually went out of his way to order some other keys that may be able to work for me. Could tell he was really trying and the fact that everyone was super friendly really cool to see. Hopefully I can come back with some positive results on the key copy in the future.
