Sadly, their lack of covid precautions is unbelievable at this point in time. No masks worn by any employee. Not just an isolated incident, at least 4 times in the last month according to other people I know who went there to pick up their pizzas. If you get delivery, you'd never know. A woman was bent over a pizza cutting it into pieces while breathing on it without a mask. The pizza went in the garbage when I got home. They wore masks in May and June, then stopped. I contacted them and was told it was too hot and the a/c was not working (which, frankly, would be MORE of a reason to be wearing them IMO) but then was told since the weather cooled off and the new a/c unit had arrived, everyone would be masked up. It's been sweatshirt weather yet the masks have not reappeared. Why bother lying?? So if you're ok eating pizza that was handled and breathed on by people not wearing masks, go for it. If they are this negligent over something that can kill you it makes me wonder what the basic hand washing and sanitizing is like. Fortunately, plenty of other pizza places around. read more

This is always our last stop out of DuBois. It doesn't matter if we just ate, we have to pick up a tray to go. Today it's pepperoni/mushroom and extra cheese/mushrooms. The pizza is fresh made when ordered, so it's hot and the cheese us ready to burn it's way straight into your stomach. A 4-pack of Stewart's black cherry pop makes the trip perfection. The two stars are added because the food taste pretty darn good, but they lost all other stars from their awful service. They also don't take cards and it's 2020. They must have had the phone off the hook on purpose because we called 9 times to try and order. Of those, 7 times the phone line said busy, and the other two it just rang forever. I ended up driving there to order & they weren't like super slammed or anything. They seemed extremely rude & made me feel like I was a huge burden to their night; they asked if I had called in an order lol. They were also arguing with each other at check out counter and I kept getting interrupted trying to give them my (super simple) order. When the food was finally ready, I went to pay and they didn't accept cards so I had to walk up the street to a bank and use their ATM there. The only kind thing during this entire experience was them apologizing for not taking card after I got back from my walk. Like I said at the beginning though, the greasy pizza was good (not phenomenal or anything) but the Italian hoagie I got was great. All in all, awful experience, but food was pretty good. read more

We were in DuBois Pa for an event. We looked up local pizza places, found Frank's Pizza was open till 11pm on Saturday 9/8/23 we were there at 10 pm and we were walking to the building and they shut off the lights. Called them because they were looking out the window. There was also another patron at the same time getting out of her car. When I called they said we are closed for the night no reason given very impolite on the phone. If you advertise hours till 11 you should be open till 11. Well they lost my business plus the other ladies business. As for us we ate at another local place. Which would highly recommend checking out the Hitching Post in DuBois, PA. I am giving a one star for the review only because it will not let me post till I give a star rating. They really deserve a zero star rating. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

I'm not exactly sure what Frank's pizza is... it's almost like a thin crust Sicilian style, but baked in a tray? Yes your pizza is a rectangle and several pieces don't have an end crust. The pizza itself isn't bad, a little greasy. The dough is very bland and tastes frozen. Their staff was beyond rude when ordering via phone and during pickup. I understand being busy, but that is no reason to be rude to your customers. The girls were rude even after receiving a tip. Won't be ordering from Frank's again solely on the fact their staff. read more

I enjoyed Frank's Pizza as a kid back in the 70's and get it almost every time I get back to Du Bois. It doesn't taste like every other pizza shop's pizza. Maybe that's why I, like many other people who have moved away get it when we get back in town. I know Frank's has changed ownership a few times over the years but, thankfully, the new owners continue to use the same recipe! Since I can remember, this has always been a favorite pizza shop. Compared to your everyday pizza chains, Pizza Hut, Domino's, or what have you, their pizza is, in my eyes, superior in comparison. It comes in a square cut, and is a little smaller than a typical pizza slice. They also have a fairly broad selection of soda in there too ranging from some cans, to 20 oz. bottles and some two liters. One thing to keep in mind when going here, they are cash only, so be sure to hit an ATM before picking it up. I ordered this pizza because the reviews were so stellar, but this was terrible pizza. First of all, our mushroom and olive pizza had next to no sauce and was very bland. Classic local favorite. Amazing pizza with what we call "stinky cheese". It's mozzarella mixed with something, maybe provolone? I don't know, I love those square little grease slices with mushrooms (they're chopped canned) and pepperoni. I order from here often. Not the type of place you sit down and eat, take it home. Order an adult 3 slices minimum-or 6 in my case. Bring cash or check because they don't take credit. read more

Pizza is the same, But the atmosphere has defiantly taken a turn! Does the vast majority of the world not know the price of flower? Before changing ownership I believe the pizza was .35 cents a slice and one single solitary old man prepared every bit of it. Last time I went in to wait for my food I counted 9 people working and it wasn't even a weekend! Who pays all theses workers? We do, with inflated prices. When it was the one and only pizza shop in town it could be ran by one man. Now there is umpteen pizza places carrying the load and it takes 6 or 8 people to do the same job. Why should I have to pay the price so that friends can hang out and have a job together? One more thing, No credit cards! get real even the Amish take credit cards. read more

Greasy pizza with not much flavor but it's addictive. Frank's is a staple of Dubois and I would suggest everyone tries it at least once.

He moved out to San Diego in the sixties when he joined the Navy he grew up on Frank's and when our family would go back to Pennsylvania to visit our family always go to Frank several times and if my dad just went back without us he would always bring Frank's back home back to San Diego for us to enjoy out here San Diego has a lot of pizza places but nothing as good as Franks!!! read more

We ordered a pizza for delivery at our hotel not really knowing what we might get. Franks has many stars so we went on others experiences. This was a great choice. The delivery was prompt, the pizza delicious, and the cost very fair. The crust was superb, the cheese great quality and the sauce the very best pizza marinara. I would give Franks 4.5 stars if I could. By far the best pizza in Dubois I have had. We had the square cut pizza. You will probably need more slices than normal but you will not be disappointed in the quality. Price is also very reasonable. read more

I am a traveler in DuBoise and I ordered a sandwich and a nside salad from Franks Pizza and I am very dissapointed with them. The salad was 5.00 and it was so small that I ate it in 1 bite. The sandwich barely had any meat on it and it was also 5.00. When I ordered I wanted to pay with my credit card and they told me they do not accept credit cards CASH only. I had to go get money from ATM machine and pay a fee. After the order got here I noticed there was no fork to eat my salad with. I called the store and the woman who answered said she was sorry and refused to send the driver back with a fork. I would not recommend eating here. read more
