He was going thru a drive-through and said that he was running behind. He told me that he was going eat his lunch and pick-up some things at home and he would be here at 3:30. He asked me what length of pipes and what fittings he would need to do the job so he could bring them with him. I thought this was strange since he is the licensed plumber, not me. At 4:30, I called him again. He told me that he was still at the house, but that he was leaving and on his way. At 5:49, I sent him a text and told him not to bother to come. I told him he was 4.25 hours past when he said he would be here to install our gas line and I would just find someone else to do it. He then showed up at our house and proceeded to tell me how bad his Wednesday was and said that he could go ahead and do the job if I wanted him to. I then asked him why he told me that he could do the job on Thursday at 1:30 if he wasn't going to be able to. I told him that if he would have told me he was too busy, i could have called someone else and got the job done. His response was stuff happens. I then went through all of the communications we had on Thursday with him. He then said that he would do the job if I wanted him to, or he would go on down the road. I told him to have a nice night. This man apparently has this business all by himself. I don't know how he is still in business based on the experience I have had with him. I have never been asked to tell a professional what items he needed to do a job. Of course, he shows a lack of professionalism. I would not use this person. I would do the work myself before letting him do anything in our house.
