My mom and I were visiting the mall nearby, So Ouest, and decided to grab late lunch/early dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. We opted for Fratellini Caffe. When we walked in there was only one other party dining, which was a bit concerning, but we stayed.
We were seated and given menus. I ordered the Margherita pizza and my mom ordered the gnocchi. We both had water to drink. Our food came out in a decent amount of time, along with parmesan cheese and bread. This was my first time seeing a Margherita pizza with olives and no basil, but it was actually pretty good. My mom said her gnocchi was really good, too.
Eventually, other parties came into the restaurant, but the place was still fairly empty given its size. One couple nearby ordered hot chocolate that looked so good that my mom and I ordered one each. The server spoke English, but had to look up what chantilly meant in English - it's whipped cream lol. We all thought that was pretty funny.
Our hot chocolates came and they were delicious! They were served with cocoa powder sprinkled on top, along with extra sugar and a mint chocolate crisp. This was the best hot chocolate I've ever had.
After finishing, we paid and left to catch the train. The price was very reasonable. Overall, this was a nice experience and the food was good. If I'm ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to dine here. read more
