So the rule at the museum is that if you take photos of the art, a person also has to be in the photo. So here's a bunch of photos of me with the art. This is a large room filled with Frank Frazetta art: originals, sketches, old and newer. It was cool to see how he was able to do different styles for different projects. There's also a gift shop and an opportunity to buy a lot of prints. You can go through the museum on your own, or with a guided tour by one of his family members. The entire museum is family-curated. I wouldn't say that I am a fan, in general, but this definitely gave me a new appreciation for his talent.

We had a great time. We got a tour from a family member of the artist. You probably will, too. It's great to see the originals. You probably know the work. Don't miss it.

Have visited the Poconos many times. What a find this was. If you're at all interested in fantasy science fiction art this is a must.

To come here, you must have loved his work. He's considered to be the FATHER of fantasy art. When you come and see his work, it is evident. You see his work mimicked in movies, video games, books and TV shows. I was put onto him by my BF who is a huge fan. I brought him here as a surprise so he can take a closer look at his art. We stayed for almost 3 hours just admiring everything he's done. It's spectacular! I appreciate all that he's brought to the genre. We are considered to be on the younger generation...Frank's son and daughter were kind of surprised we came there on our own volition. I'm a comic book collector and ended up buying all of his comic books. By the end of the whole thing, we bought t-shirts, patches and books. It was pretty awesome. It's nice to see that Frank Frazetta's legacy is kept alive by his children and grand children. He should get more credit for his work... I recommend coming here. It's inspiring.

For those of you that grew up reading Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert E Howard, or played D&D, this is a must-see. It's fantastic. The personal story, given by M.s Franzetta, is great - really, I am so happy I took the time to visit and experience the exhibits. I will definitely come back.

For the past few years after Frank's death, the museum has been closed On May 17th the grand reopening was held. I was lucky enough to be one of the first 50 (#49) to visit on this weekend. Visitors on the 17th and 18th were given free admission (donation was appreciated), a limited edition ticket (which would be signed and sealed) and treated to some snacks and drinks. For someone who is a fan of Frazetta's work, this museum is a thing of beauty. The museum is located in Stroudsburg, PA and is tucked into the woods. The grounds are beautiful, and the museum sits next to a small pond. There are a few statues on the property of lizards which are interesting touches. The museum is not very large, and I would describe it as quaint. Off to the right is an area where merchandise is sold. As one reviewer stated - bring lots of cash or credit cards. There is some really interesting memorabilia, as well as artwork (reproductions) available for purchase. The museum is filled with many of Frank's greatest paintings, as well as sketches, and pieces of furniture from his home. There is also a display with his camera collection as he was an avid photographer. Although the art is the star of the museum, I can't say enough about the hosts, Frank Frazetta Jr. and his wife Lori. They are both exceptionally nice individuals, and are working hard to share the legacy of Frank Frazetta. They were both extremely friendly, and were genuinely interested in the fans and ensuring g they had a great time. I was lucky enough to tour the museum with Frank Jr. for about an hour and a half just chatting and listening to stories about Frank. Like I said, if you are a fan, you need to make the trip as it is well worth it.

The atmosphere is peaceful and you feel like stepping into a different world, forgetting all the daily hurdles and just enjoying the moment. The staff who works there is really talented on telling about the life at the farm couple of hundreds of years ago, and they tell you some insightful stories and examples of the past. You are also encouraged to ask many questions from the staff and it is great to hear about all the details of everything. There are several farm buildings to visit which you also get to tour, and many animals who you also might get to pet. The farm store is also amazing, selling many interesting items and some crafts from the local artists which are not over priced. Remember to reserve plenty of time (2-3 hrs) and take some picnic items with if needed (there's good spots for a picnic) and a curious mind for a great visit at the historic farm!

It's now owned by a historical society and largely volunteer run. This is the kind of place that several generations of locals come to volunteer. If I lived nearby, I'd gladly volunteer and would love to lead a tour:-) The farm is quaint, cozy and affordable. It was $12 for adults for their 1.5 hour+ tour and Christmas presentation. $6 for children under 12. The crackling fire wood, the wet leaves crunching under your feet, and the friendly, welcome of the volunteers, who are excellent and clearly love this place, all made my experience five star. This historic farm is two hours from NYC, but worlds away, in a good way. I did a day trip but nearby affordable hotels abound. At the end of the tour, we were lead to their dining room, with a choice of hot cocoa or hot apple cider and two surprise (mine were snickerdoodle and molasses) cookies or a homemade Bavarian style pretzel. Free parking and I learned about the events they offer including farm to table in the summer and spooky nights during Halloween, to name a few. They cook with all the vegetables they grow and serve them at an outdoor meal. Check them out with your friends and family. You'll be glad you did.

The Museum is housed in the original school along with authentic desks, books, and photos of the children that attended class there. You can set in a desk from the early 1900's to watch the short film about the history of the Delaware Water Gap. The film depicts the town as it looked 100 years ago. It also had a photo of Fred Astaire, which was a local resident. It is hard to believe, looking at the way the town is now, but this area was the second largest resort town in the country in the 19th century. Of all the grand hotels that were once here, only two are standing. Among the artifacts at the museum are dishes, arrow heads, old photos, and many other old interesting things. There are also photos of the town when it was under water. The last time it was under water was in 2006. The Water Gap has been under water a few times during this century and each time the town does rebuild. When I was at the museum, a lady came in and introduced herself to the guide as a teacher that taught in this building years ago. She did not say how many years....but it was a long time ago. Wow...what a treat to actually meet a person who taught in this school house. The first floor is an art gallery. The art on display was from local artist and was priced very reasonable. This Museum is a must see if you are in the area of Delaware Water Gap.
