The car had been represented as pristine. It wasn't. I could stop there, but let's not. I had believed that the price was fair for this car UNTIL (see the photo) the list of repairs needed was sent to me. Asking questions, especially on vintage cars is the only thing one can do remotely. Remember, 6-hour drive to get there. Those pesky questions revealed a car in piss-poor-shape, not pristine. I had made plans to visit and look over the car. No promises were made to purchase, but based on the information I knew at the time, it looked right to buy. So, I reserved a trailer close to the shop in the event I'd buy the car and I'd have it ready to move the car. Funds were made ready, so as not to delay the purchase. That's called consideration. The hotel was reserved because in either event I buy or walk away, I needed to stay the night. The "rug being pulled" was the sudden pulling the car off market. It'd been there available months, listed on eBay and now it's off market. Why? To get the list if repairs done. That's great, who can complain about that unless one had an appointment scheduled to see the car. Which I did. Oh, and you had months to get the car in the shop to repair. Be proactive and not reactive. I don't know what world these people live in, but when a business is "by appointment only" they should either not confirm the appointment if the car is not ready to show or honor the time they have set. I don't know how anyone else feels, but reserving a trailer, filling out all the info, supplying the ID requirements, speaking to the rental place on the phone is time consuming and not time well spent. Making a hotel reservation and planning the route (I-40 was closed at the TN border) also takes time. The transfer of banks funds to be prepared. Then to cancel after all that effort. Yeah, Jeff pissed me off. The lack of consideration for anyone other than himself is appalling. If answers take time, then you get back to the customer and simply state, "we are STILL working on it", verses crickets. How the hell do I know you're actually doing something when it's been days since you've said you'd get back to me. Overall, I was very patient. Even Jeff thanked me for being patient as he had duties to perform at his church. Well, there comes a time when being patient ends. Call me old fashioned or vintage, because I believe in great service, having consideration for others and honesty make a sale. All I need to do is show up and make a decision. I have purchased two vehicles from Jeff and Caitlan and having purchased many cars in my life I would say they are above average if you class them as a used car seller of quite often unique vehicles, a little overpriced but fair when it comes to the final deal. One car I had delivered (an MGA) that did need a little more work than I had anticipated, but it is what I enjoy, and I did consign it back to Jeff as I purchased a second vehicle (a BMW Z3), which I picked up from them and drove it back to Florida. This vehicle was in an excellent condition, but as anticipated needed some work to get rid of a few minor alarms that my local mechanic was able sort out not too costly. My only advice is taking the photos and expand them, look at points on the vehicle that you know might be concerning, and if you don't trust what you visually see take the trip to inspect the vehicle or have someone do it for you. Just like buying any used car or maybe not just a car but something that has been well used, or lovingly used, it is still a used item with age built in, so do your homework and considering some of the real classic vehicles that this site offers, it is a good source to purchase from, even if a little overpriced in some instances. read more

Just to be fair I did receive a response from Caitlan and Jeff this past Friday wherein they indicated they emailed me the records I requested on June 6, 2025 on that date. I did not receive that email in my email inbox nor in my spam folder but apparently from Jeff's explanation it was quite large so my server may have bounced it back.
