At a recent Junior League holiday…read moreevent, my husband and I -- along with many others, who anxiously awaited in the fast-moving line -- waited to get our picture taken. The TapSnap photographer had tons of props to choose from, that were sooo cute, and sooo perfect for Christmas. When it was our turn, my guy and I stood in front of a huge green backdrop, and were able to see ourselves on what looked to be a TV screen for some sort. This made it easy to fix our wearables, and look at the right direction, so we could smile at the camera. Within seconds, we had an assortment of backdrops to choose from, and ultimately, ended up going with a beautiful outdoor shot, full of holiday lights. Once we choose our final pic (mind you, others are waiting for their turn, which really speaks to how fast this thing goes), I was able to type in my email address on said TV screen, where I immediately received a digital copy to share online. To top it off, my guy and I were able to take home two 4x6 copies! This idea is brilliant, and a total upgrade from your average photo booth. I wish this was around when I got married, as I'm sure it would've been a complete hit!

She is located in Burleson, tx now…read more I would've reviewed her on Facebook, but she blocked me after I sent her the included emails, so I'm listing this here. I have since heard from several people (including photographer friends that see her post on Facebook about her received complaints on photography groups) that I am not the first to have this experience with her and this is a pretty normal situation with her. If you have used her in the past, I highly recommend you review your portraits done by her. I hope that your portraits were great, but I know for a fact that I'm not alone in my experience and the fact that she wont correct it and blocks customers with issues has led me to this point. Important Information: I am a photographer myself and believe in supporting the industry. I have had over 10 portrait sessions in the past 6 years and they were completed by 5 different photographers. I strive to be the client I want to work with and love all of the portraits I've gotten with other photographers. I use different photographers to get different styles of portraits. I paid about $250 for the "model session" and an extra $200 to get all of the portraits from the session in advance. I received 47 portraits total, I am content with 5 of them. They all have severe editing issues like Cloning mistakes, Oversmothing of the skin, and AI generating issues. The portraits took place on June 25th, I received them on Aug 4th. I only reviewed them on my phone up until last night. I do print out large portraits from Smallwoods and hang them in my house, so quality matters. I have had other family members and other photographers review my photos as well and they agree they were badly edited. My goal here is to leave an honest review since she apparently doesn't allow people to do that on her Facebook site. And to hopefully stop this from happening to someone else. Im not sure if I have ever even left a bad review on here before, but this needs to be done. I don't want her to go out of business, I want her to do better for her clients. (I messed up on numbering the email photos, there is no number 3)

Granted, our photographer was amazing, the all white backdrop added to the charm! They also have couches and other back drops if anyone needs it. Lumen Room Denton I recently had a photo shoot for my…read moredaughter's senior/graduation photos. We hired an independent photographer and she set up the studio and she chose The Lumen Room in Denton. We were in the 'White' area. I did not get a chance to see the 'Lifestyle' area but it did look slightly smaller. I personally have extensive experience shooting video but, in this case, I happy to let my wife and daughter control this photo shoot. I was really blown away with the uniqueness of the space. The Lumen Room Denton, is housed in a former 4 bay mechanic shop/gas station. Frankly, super unique in my opinion. Obviously, the space has been completely renovated to be an open space that can accommodate photo shoots or almost anything you might need it for like a meeting or even a birthday party. For this example, the photographer needs light, space and a few backgrounds choices and The Lumen Room provided almost everything a good photo studio needs. First, the amount of space the studio has was fairly expansive for a single person photo shoot like 25x 25. And, the space even provides a few different styles of chairs and sofas to use as props or for client lounging. Second, background choices really facilitate a photographer's job to provide some variety of images. The Lumen Room provides several roll around 8x8 flat wall backdrops. White, black and colored flats can give some flexibility in shooting and I was impressed to see these as a standard included with the space. The photographer used the natural light that was available coming through frosted glass garage doors on one side and high north facing sky lights on the other. I stood by and watched the photographer work. I was impressed with the overall experience because my wife and I were able to sit and watch everything happen in air conditioned comfort. I thought about the possibilities of using this space to shoot interviews or for professional sound recordings but with the proximity to a busy street, I can only recommend The Lumen Room in Denton as photo studio or perhaps a video insert studio. Check it out and you might find that The Lumen Room could work perfectly for corporate or freelance photographers in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton area. I work in Denton and I am really glad I was introduced to this space. The photographer told me there are a few in Fort Worth and in Dallas. Happy shooting!
