When I talked to Edna, she blew off my complaints and said Melody has been working there for a few years. So you hire rude and incompetent people and don't care. A couple of times , Jennifer answered the phone. Each time, she was rude and didn't want to help. Seems that they don't hire the best, but the office staff I Hope dont interact with children. I had two children there today for half day camp. There was no communication about buying sno cones today. The children felt left out and there is no plan for children who didn't have the $5. Surely the management could have helped them feel included and provided the treats. I know the response will be "then we would have to do that for everyone." No you don't. Communicate better and have a plan. We won't be going back. Staff are jist too rude to treat paying customers as though they're gum on the bottom of the shoe.

At the show, I was blown away by the set production, costumes, and most of all, the quality of the actors. Since then, our other daughter has also joined Showtime and we are 17 shows in! If you are looking for a place for your child to have experience with on stage productions, you can't go wrong with Ms Jackie. I think she truly supports her casts, and also has very high expectations for her shows- there is dedication and work involved to be a part of Showtime. Ms Jackie will support them every step of the way! As our girls have gotten older, they have also been able to have the experience of working backstage and in the booth, which gives them other skills and a real appreciation for what it takes to make a production happen. It's not a very big space, but good enough for the students and waiting parents. The front staff is very kind - they have worked with me in terms of financial situations and have always welcomed my daughter regardless. Mrs. Hitt has been my daughter's teacher since she first started and my daughter admires Mrs. Hitt very much. She refuses to go to any other dance school or teacher because she has so much love and respect for her ABS teacher. Recitals are well organized and very memorable. There are fees that come with it such as the costume fee, recital fee, and separate tickets fee. I don't find it a problem and they handle the entire recital ordeal very well.

Jerks! Then they send us an email (junk mail) a week to pick it up or it will be donated? WTF! Jerks again! My kids could never remember what they learned. All they could remember was to prance around, like skipping and wave their hands like a bird. Sorry but their type of dance is so FUFU-FIFI THAT I COULDNT STOP LAUGHING! No real talent needed lol! This Katy Cinco Ranch location is very family oriented and has plenty of space & equipment. I have yet to have any issues with waiting to use equipment even when it is busier. You will find a surplus of treadmills, free weights, squat racks, benches, and more for all your exercise needs. There is also a child care area available for the younger ones. In addition, they also have a gymnasium with multiple side rims, as well as both an indoor and outdoor pool. Other areas available include a stretch room, cycling room, group exercise room, and another smaller weight room. They have plenty of locker/storage space as well, located is some weight rooms, outside the restroom/pool area, and inside the restrooms as well (the ones in the restroom require your own lock). One of the things I love most is they have a water fountain with a filtered water bottle filler so I can bring my empty water bottle from home and fill it with water at the Y for my workout. Another thing I appreciate are the several sanitizing stations for your hands and for wiping down equipment. Overall I'm extremely happy with this Y. The staff are very friendly, they have plenty of parking and allow 3 free guest passes per year (my previous Y made you pay for all guest passes). The only slight negative I've found so far is that they don't provide basketballs for the gymnasium due to people not returning them, which is understandable. Thus, I highly recommend this YMCA!

They don't have as much equipment as the other one in Katy, but it's not bad and it's somewhat similar, and might even be a 5 star if the greeting staff had been friendlier. It's often quite quiet in here which I like, and which you wouldn't expect considering a lot of fairly well-to-do people live around here and Cinco Ranch isn't flush with gyms (or flushing toilets) (OK it probably is). It has plenty of space and is a pretty good gym all things considered, and I'll probably be using it again in the near future. The hard part is getting in the door, of course. I'd like to try door number one, Monty.
