Even two giant Koi if you're lucky enough to see them took me week to finally see them the first time! There's a park for my dogs and a park for my daughter. If we want to go swimming, there's a pool and a hot tub and sometimes they have special events for everyone to enjoy! They have on site pretty much anything you need. Hidden Gem in Texas Hill Country…read more Waldo's Camp on the Colorado River in Columbus, TX, is by far my favorite RV Campground in Texas. If you are looking for a place to go for a quiet and relaxing break from your kids then this is the place to be. Waldo's is right on CO River and has only 9 spacious RV spots with full hookups. Cellular signals are strong, many free HD antenna channels, and if you desire more, wifi is also available. Location couldn't be better, it's like camping out in the country on a ranch with big beautiful old oak trees. We camp every Spring in Texas Hill Country and this is the most relaxing and enjoyable campground we've found, I've already made future reservations before we depart tomorrow. The area is full of history for you history buffs. In 30 miles or less you can drive to Fayetteville, Round Top, & La Grange.

The owner instead of telling me no, lied and said he would mail me a check. After weeks I contacted him again and he once again said he would mail me a check. He never mailed a "check" nor did he even know my name to do so in the first place. He stole over 400 dollars from me. Very dishonest and sketchy place. Would not recommend to anyone !!!

The laundry room is nice with professional size machines. And they even have ones dedicated for pet laundry so you don't have to worry about getting fur on your clothing. The machines do not take money, you pay either by card at the kiosk or by downloading the app, which is actually awesome as it lets you follow the time left....pure genius in my book! I did meet a few people while in there and every one of them were extremely friendly and had been there for a long time. They had nothing but good things to say about it so that in itself makes me feel like I made the right choice. It is an Adult centered resort so there are no children running around all hours, not that I have anything against them, but when I'm glamping I want to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. That's all I have for now, but will update after I've had a chance to actually do something other than laundry.

The first time I lost sleep was because the maintenance guy flooded my rv when he turned the water on before letting me know he was going to do it. This is twice now that I have lost sleep and can not go back to sleep before going to work. It be nice if the lawn would get cut on Fridays when I an off and don't care if I get woken up. To top it all off the management did nothing about the maintenance guy flooding my rv.

The resort has a beautiful pool and hot tub. An office/clubhouse that is spacious and extremely nice. The staff, especially Nancy, the manager, is very accommodating. The restrooms and showers are among the very best I have seen anywhere. I highly recommend The Hill Top for visiting Brenham, Houston, or even Austin.

However, I do wish they would put some temporary doggy bag stations since not everyone picked up after their dogs unfortunately. Tickets were $5 per dog and comes with a human ticket. Their check in process was quick, a waiver is required to be signed prior to entry. Parking was free and plenty, there were a fee concessions stands open offering funnel cakes, ice cream, fries and tots. I like how you can bring a reusable water bottle to refill using their drink station. My dog had a time running around and barking at everything. May return for future Bark N' Waves events.

I decided not to change my clothes as I felt uncomfortable doing so. I told guest services and they said they would handle it. We came back today, and OMG, the same slats were bent and there were even more openings. people were peeking into the stalls and giggling and laughing. The doors would not lock, so people were opening the doors, exposing 8-12 year old boys to the crowds. finally, I managed to get into a stall, I am an adult, so I tried to change out of my bathing suit into my clothes. i turned away from the door and tried to hold the handle with my hand as the door would not lock. the kids outside the door were laughing as they could see my butt through the bent slats and they were laughing and making comments. and they kept trying to open the door, which I was trying to hold closed...... totally inappropriate. I told guest services and the girl said "ok, I will pass your comments on to management" and then went back to chatting with her friends. the other adults with me reported similar issues, being exposed as others opened doors that would not lock or comments from kids that were peering through the bent slats..... not ever going back here again. and if you go, I recommend you take a buddy to the bathroom to block the door and prevent others from peeking into and seeing you change clothes
