Our daughter Katie was married on August 3rd this year and back in the spring we decided that we should do a choreographed Father/Daughter dance. Our daughter has always been a big Michael Jackson fan and into dance so we knew we wanted to make it a fun mash up dance. We started with "I hope you dance" by Lee Ann Womack and busted into 4 different MJ songs. Well my first call to them went to voicemail. However, they got back to me right away. We showed up for our first session and the instructor we were assigned was Naomi Cook. We hit it off right away and she was as excited about putting together this routine as we were to do the dance. We met up nearly every week to add or even change parts of the dance. She listened to us and removed and/or incorporated moves on our suggestions and on her own. By the end of it we had a solid routine with many moves to dazzle the wedding guests. But wait there's more. Once our daughter then decided to get her fiance (now husband) involved and she put together a dance routine for them as well. After she felt we had the routine down she invited us to one of their dance parties (which they have often) to practice in front of the whole group. There were about 60 ppl there and we did the dance for them. Everyone loved it and were very supportive. Then August 3rd came and our dance. Well we knocked it out of the park and now have the memory of a lifetime. (Katie and her new Husband Elias's dance was also very special) I just want to add that everyone else at the studio was so nice, welcoming and supportive of us the whole way as well.They got this 60yr old man to moon walk! I had a similar experience to Jessica L! My husband and I took a free class that we "won" at a wedding show 2 years ago. The lesson was fine, but when the lesson was done they led us to an office where they tried to sell us lessons. I knew this was going to be part of the free lesson experience, but the high pressure that they put on my husband and I was less than pleasant. We felt that there wasn't the option to leave with the door being closed and an unclear exit. Finally, when we had had enough, we just stood up and walked out. We have been dancing at Social Style Dance in Delafield for over 2 years now (so it's not that we were anti-dance), but Fred Astaire was a bad start to a hobby that we both now love. read more

We purchased our first round of 7 dance lessons here for our wedding. We wanted our first dance choreographed. While the instruction was so so, the majority of what we payed for was high pressure sales from our instructor and the owner to buy even more lessons, and several times our lesson was cut short to go in a room with both to be pressured and put on the spot to buy more lessons. We felt like we were being sold time shares! We ended up hiring Erin O'Obyle a private dance instructor out of Delafield who re choreographed our first dance song. Don't waste your time with this high pressure dance chain - find someone local to the area and private! read more

In either a long or short-term relationship with a business, this is possibly the worst experience I have ever had as a client, in my life! Another "first" is being a business owner or not, this place is run by one of the most hot-tempered persons I have ever met. I stayed here for months thinking things would get better with time, but only got worse. The more of your money you spend here, then the more kindness and respect the management will give you. Otherwise, if you have just average income and can only do a lesson or two a week, you get only minimum treatment at best, not the respect all people should deserve equally. Yes, a lot of "politics" in what should be a straightforward, fun activity, and when talking with other students about all what is mentioned here, they all say the same as well, plus more things that there is nowhere near enough room to say on this post. Most of the instructors are very kind and understanding, but I cannot ever recommend doing business here because of harassment from the owner. I VERY highly recommend doing dance lessons, however, anywhere but here! read more
