Case for Investigation of Diversus Health…read more Diversus serves an unusually vulnerable population. Its CEO reported that roughly 72% of patients were Medicaid recipients, and the organization has received tens of millions of dollars through Medicaid and other public behavioral-health funding. At the same time, documented complaints reported to Colorado authorities have involved more than poor customer service. They have included concerns about inaccurate patient records, continuity of treatment, medication access, and an allegation that a provider practiced outside the provider's professional scope. The medical-record issue is particularly important. Clinical documentation can determine what Medicaid or another insurer pays. If inaccurate records were ever knowingly used to support claims for services that were not provided, incorrectly coded, improperly attributed to a provider, or otherwise misrepresented, that could implicate Colorado Medicaid fraud and false-claims laws. Diversus also generates an enormous volume of reimbursable activity--approximately 148,770 patient encounters in one reported year, about 75% conducted virtually. That makes strong billing controls essential. A forensic audit should compare appointment records, clinical notes, provider identities and licenses, treatment duration, billing codes, and Medicaid payment records. Financially, Diversus deserves scrutiny as well. Recent filings show: * approximately $4.4 million in operating losses for its service group in FY2025; * CEO compensation of roughly $687,000, approximately 52% higher than reported FY2021 compensation; * multiple related Diversus corporate entities through which personnel, property, funding and expenses can move; and * millions of dollars annually in additional Colorado public funding.

While I moved to nearby Colorado Springs in August, my first appointment with Manitou was in July (2017). At that point I depended on a cane for walking, but occasionally resorted to a wheelchair. Georgi Gochis applied her cranial sacral and lymphatic drainage skills to getting the lymph moving in my left leg, as well as addressing effects of the accident on my head. Xanthe Alexis assessed the structure in my leg and hip, and determined that certain bones needed to be coaxed into a better position, which she accomplished in short order. Also she advised me on how to walk so the bones would stay in place. Shortly after arrival, I started seeing Joy Williams for medical massage, which has substantially reduced the swelling, essential for Healing. She also relieved aches and pains which migrated into my hips. In conjunction with the physical therapy I was receiving, she also instructed me on how to best stretch so that leg muscles wouldn't cause further aches. Considering that a year ago I was limited to zero weight on my leg and for the most part needed a wheel chair to move about, I am deeply grateful for the recovery accomplished, a significant amount facilitated by the experts at Manitou Wellness.

There was a "family" meeting where my son claimed to be suicidal over me punishing him by taking a PlayStation away. I told them I needed a break from the meeting and needed to use the restroom. I was then escorted to the waiting room and then pulled to billing where they somehow found ALL of my info and insurance info without me sending it or my consent. A nurse then interrupted that meeting to tell me they were keeping my son, she handed the phone to me and a doctor told me that I could pay for my sons treatment with a dollar a day until I die. There are too many negative things to list. Don't send or let anyone transfer a loved one here!

They refused to provide nicotine patches and the entire stay there i was going through withdrawals yet none of the staff cared to help. They let me have two shirts and some pairs of underwear, and they limited the amount of clothes you could have into three outfits at most? The food was decent once in a blue moon, and the cafeteria floor was always sticky and uncleaned. If you're ever thinking to come here, DON'T. I never felt like more of a burden than I did there.
