This company our crooks I literally had this plan less than 24 hours and they charge me a $65 cancellation fee even though the lady who told me she didn't know because she's never done this before Claudia told me it would be a zero dollar fee. The manager, Ariel at the Denton TX location, is so incredibly rude. She was basically yelling at me and trying to talk over me on the phone. I am currently battling this insurance company to get my vehicle fixed in a timely manner. The initial intake was not a problem the representative was professional and gave me all the information on my adjuster. The adjuster called me the next day and took my side of the story, like the review below I was rear ended by their customer; while on the phone with her I asked her about a rental car and she told me I had two options either to get a rental for $27.50 a day or to get it repaired at one of their shops and they would put me in a rental car. This is ridiculous that as the victim you are penalized and almost forced to take it to one of their body shops in order to avoid potentially paying out of pocket for a rental car. Right now the company is still trying to get a hold of their insurer and will not process the claim until they hear from her, which I understand, but when I asked how long they would give her to respond my adjuster told me 40 days. 40 days is way to long to continue driving a vehicle with a loose bumper that could potentially fall off and cause another accident. I do not have another vehicle or other form of transportation like most individuals and they do not seem to care about your safety or that of others. My next problem is that they estimated my damages based on pictures that were taken by one of the representatives at a branch. The cost of the alleged repairs was $626.00 dollars, which I felt was low considering the damages. I took my car to three body shops, one of which was Fred Loya's, all the estimates were between $1,200 and $2,000 dollars. Yet again trying to low ball and give me a crappy repair job. It has been two weeks since the accident and nothing has been done yet. I called this morning for an update to find out that my adjuster cannot be found and that she was transferred and know one can seem to give me her ne number. I immediately called the main number and the rep told me that I was given a new adjuster. No one cared to call. email, or mail me a letter letting me know of this change. I have made several follow up calls today and still have not heard anything. If things go on like this I will be pursing legal action and filing a formal complaint with the better business bureau. I hope no one else has to deal with this company's poor business practices. read more

This is not an insurance company. It's a license to steal people's money and cause hardships for the people who are stupid enough to fall for their false advertisement. Unfortunately I was one of those people. Research very carefully this business before you get involved with them. And if you are involved in an accident where their client is at fault? Do not talk to them about anything and GET AN ATTORNEY IMMEDIATELY. I had them for an insurance company and here's what they did to me. I was a client approximately around 3years. I called them in January as usual and paid by phone. Only one of their untrained employees messed up some how and the payment never happened. Since I pay every 3 months I assumed that everything was fine. Called 2 1/2 months later to pay again. They informed me that I was not insured. I asked why did you not send me even a letter! They did not contact me whatsoever. I was never late once. They asked me to come in and start a new policy. I stated that they had to be out of their mind and that I could no longer trust them. This was on a Friday, on Monday I signed up with a reputable insurance company with a history of good behavior. FOR 6 MONTHS! But the story is not over, because of their negligence, I have to pay a fine for being uninsured, 1,000 dollars. Some people may not be able to afford this company and that is why I am warning people about these PARASITES. read more

Worst of the worst. After eight years of being faithful customers we had a little fender bender which wasn't our fault and the police report said so. We left the incident to Fred Loya to deal with after all that is their job and what we pay for. After two months we received a letter from Fred Loya saying" an investigation indicates the driver of your vehicle was at fault" . After making some phone calls it turned out Fred Loya's adjuster settled the deal by giving money to the other driver instead of taking the time to make an investigation. Why bother? Of course, the adjuster never answered our phone calls and the only solution Fred Loya gave us was that our payments were going up on the renewal. read more

WORST "INSURANCE" COMPANY EVER!!! How they can call themselves an insurance company is beyond me. My mom and I were rear ended by a Fred Loya Customer and I made an attempt to call them and start a claim. BIG MISTAKE THERE. The customer service representative began to ask the basic questions as they do in any auto accident claim. Probably about 15 minutes after being on the phone with this gentleman I realized that the questions were steered away from the accident information and all the comments he kept repeating were as if the accident was our fault?! After not providing him with my SSN he was upset and began to place me on hold... ALOT. Thirty-five minutes into the conversation I was annoyed and finally told him I would just wait for a claims adjustor to call back with further details. The claims adjustor contacted us a week later and was explaining how their rental car process works. So this "insurance company" does not have a contract with any rental car company (how that is my problem I am not sure but he felt the need to keep making his employer look worse by the second) so when one needs to go pick up a rental car they have to approve the rental car and place you are picking up the vehicle from. This was inconvenient to us seeing as, our insurance company does business with Enterprise Rental and they will even pick you up from the Collision Repair shop and drop you off at their store to pick up your rental!! (WE LOVE PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE!!!!!!!) And just to make the entire experience that much more awful, the car was apparently only approved for 2 days (with the damage there was to our vehicle that was unrealistic) so our card was charged for the other 3 days! So now we are having to bill Fred Loya for the rental car when initially the adjustor approved us for 5 days! :( Do yourselves a favor folks, STAY FAR AWAY FROM FRED LOYA INSURANCE Hope and pray that you never have to deal with them!! read more

I can't do negetive stars, so I'm forced to give them one star. Someone please explain this company's thinking, because I do NOT understand how they stay in business. Our family was transferred to California and my son's auto insurance was with Fred Loya. When we got here, my son (22) called to find out about changing his policy to cover him here. Fred Loya said they couldn't just transfer the policy to California, they had to cancel his current policy, refund what he paid, then start a new policy. Okay ... ridiculous, but do what you need to do. He had just paid his monthly payment of $138 four days earlier. So they cancelled his policy and when he didn't receive a check, he called. He found out the refund is for $27 (which they said they mailed). The rest of his $138 went to pay for the four days he was insured, and towards the FEES TO CANCEL HIS POLICY EARLY. Are you kidding?? So you'll lose his business because he wanted to tranfer his policy (AND REMAIN WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY) when he moved?? He could be paying you every month for who knows how many years. My wife was broadsided by a Fred Loya customer a year and a half ago. They just flat out refused to pay. We have State Farm and they pursued Loya (after we paid our $500 deductible to have the damage repaired under our policy) and they refused to respond. I have since spoken a couple of former Loya customers and apparently this is standard practice for their customers as well as those hit by their customers. They seem to collect premiums and then refuse to pay ANY claims whatsoever. They market a cut rate service to people without sufficient means to obtain reliable coverage - folks who they know don't have the money or sophistication to sue them. Worst insurance company in the world. I was with them for 1 month. I went back. I saved $20.03 a month by going with them and it's not worth it. Generic offices. Every one has a accent. I speak ENGLISH and ENGLISH only! They always want you to come in. We need pictures of this and that. I called Gieco and did it all over the phone and with no pictures. We just bought a 16" Explorer and they are so wishy washy I feel like I might get screwed even though a wreck might not be my fault. Not worth the worry if you think they might pay out or not. Adjusters quote is a low amount to fix car then you have to wait 6 day for adjustment then ten day to get check before you can get car fixed. Adjuster wont return phone calls. To whom it may concern: This email is an attempt to notify someone at Fred Loya Insurance of how your customers were treated by your employees at one of your locations.Something needs to be done about this situation immediately. I have never in my 40 years on earth been in the presence of such poor customer service. As an American, I felt disgusted by the treatment our fellow customers had received by one of your employees.The location is off of Ave. K and West Parker St. in Plano Tx.We had earlier that day called the number provided on the liability card that the fellow customer had in their possession. We spoke to a lady named "Candy" who was very pleasant over the phone. Explained to her that the fellow customers (Mr.&Mrs. S) are purchasing another vehicle adding to the policy and need full coverage insurance. I gave her the VIN, year,make,model of their latest vehicle. She had told me that all she needed was to speak to the customers and have the vehicle brought to a location so that someone can take photos of the van.After speaking with the customers she gave them a reference number. She then said that any location could do it, and Fred Loya was open until 6pm (central time). We arrive at the mentioned above location at 6:04pm and were told by 2 female employees inside thru a locked door that they were closed. We told them we spoke with Candy earlier and all someone needed to do at this point was to look up reference number and take photos. We were again told thru a locked closed door that they were closed. For the next 25 minutes we were given the excuse of their computers are down for the night and there was no way to get them back up. It wouldn't count for that days business. All of this being said thru a locked closed door! Finally after Mrs. S couldn't hear everything the employee was saying. She did open the door and stood in front shutting it behind her. Granted, I cannot speak Spanish. But I did get the impression by body language, gestures and tone your employee spoke down to the Ss'. I kept hearing the fact that they could not do anything tonight and it was out of her hands. Here is a fact that I have not told yet. Another female customer was inside doing her paperwork at the desk in front of the door! If the computers were down for the night why was she inside doing business? Whether or not the computers were actually down or not is at this point irrelevant. The fact is that we were not 10-15 minutes late, we were 4 minutes late! The stoplight in front of your location helped make us that 4 minutes late.Something needs to be done about this situation immediately. First off, this place is located BEHIND and old office building. Looks sketch. Then you walk in and the place is DEPRESSING. If you want to remove a car and add a new car you have to pay $20. They're also not with the times that you have to pay your premium in full or go on month to month coverage. In order to add & remove a car you have to go into the office. What kind of bs is that. I canceled my insurance with fred loya because they said they could not insure my 97 s10 ,to old .only has 84000 miles and in very good condition. but back to freddie, we did bank drafts with them and was told they would take the next month but it would put it back in 3 to 4 days. 9 days later no money. called them back and now being told that it takes 15 days to get a check in the mail. so now i deal a max insurance and pay 25.00 less than with freddie.and now i see that freddie is doing stupid ass commericals like farmers, progresive and gieco. do people know that they pay for that stupid with their premiums. cant figure that out. i have one thing to say to fred loya get your head out of your ass and take care of your customers who pays your paychecks. read more
