When I first moved to the valley, I have to admit: I didn't like this Fred Meyer. The layout is like no other Freddy's, and it took some getting used to as it was pretty much the opposite of any other Fred's I'd ever been to. Fast forward to today, and I'm a frequent visitor of this location. I've gotten used to the layout, and that's made shopping a lot easier. What I've most come to love, though, are the genuinely friendly employees. From the deli, where one of the worker's always knows exactly which salad I'm there to get and exactly how much I want, to one of the cashiers who knows me by name, to the friendly pharmacy staff...I always get a small town vibe here. And I love it! Of course, as with most of the world these days, their prices have been inching up, and that makes me more aware of what's on sale. I love their "buy 5" specials which, if you didn't know, you don't have to buy 5 of the same item to get the deal! Their app also has some good coupons, though it can be spotty to use it in the store (recommend signing on to their in-store wi-fi). I joined up for the boost program, and will take accountability for claiming fraud when my card was charged as I thought I already paid for it. I have gone through all the steps to correct the situation, however they have made it impossible to shop on line for pick up or delivery. They could just make me pay for the service, instead I am writing this post because their business practices have made it impossible to shop with them. I will contact the corporate office, however I want to make sure everyone knows I have been shopping there for years and now will spend more at another establishment rather than be treated like my business is not important to this company. Start a new account, you say? I tried. They won't except my partners form of payment. We even called to try to figure it out with customer service, and they could not give us a specific reason as to why they would not take anyone of the two payment methods we offered. We must shop in store for now. This is important as I am recovering from a major surgery and must allocate my energy appropriately. Namely, recovering. I went to the fuel center on Friday at 2:23pm 10/31/25 to pump gas. And I gave the cashier my crisps folded $100 bill and she took it and I said fill up please and she took the money and she said fine. And I went to pump my gas and then quickly remembered I had $200 bill folded so I can easily find them that I been saving it in my wallet. I went quickly back to the cashier and asked her if she can check that I gave her $200 bills she said no, didn't even care to check. I finished pumping gas and went back to get my change and asked her again if she can check the floors maybe it fell when she unfolded the bills. But she quickly checked the floor and said no. I'm 100 percent sure I gave her $200 bills. I did talk to the manager at the fuel center on Friday said he would get back at me. He hasn't since its the weekend. read more

Stores like this Fred Meyer in Burlington , WA make me miss HEB even more. Prices are ridiculously high, even for the PNW. And I roll up front to check out- $170 worth of groceries and there are only three checkers working and each one has no less than four or five customers with full baskets waiting to check out. No help in sight. No manager to help out. Very poor customer service. Unfortunately it either this store or the even MORE ridiculously priced Hagens or bottom of the barrel Walmart. Not many choices up here. Can't wait to get back to Texas. read more

RE: Jewelry- inside store! Dropped off a necklace to have a new hasp put on and a kink taken out of the chain. Told the lady to take the link out if necessary and to save the link. They instead ruined the chain by soldering the hasp on and soldering 6 links together which is not flexible any longer. I returned the necklace to the store to be re repaired. They had it for almost two months only to not fix their original terrible repair! Manager and Patti are both liars and tried to turn the blame around on me as if I was an issue. The fact is that they ruined the necklace and were responsible for it so they decided to yell and be loud and cussing at me. Total narcissistic behavior from both of them. Beware of repairing your jewelry and dealing with these type of people at your own risk cause you will be very disappointed to say the least. Good luck. read more

Went to buy bear mace and a spot flashlight, which was locked up. I asked two different associates and both told me to press the button for assistance. I did twice and the third time was the second associate who told me "I was pressing the button too hard" like what!? Zero care from these young men. I've had other similar experiences all with these young men that don't seem to grasp what their employment is for. Upsetting factor. Now I'm not going to be coming back. I had a watch issue and went into the jewelry store to have it looked at. I did not buy the watch there but I have purchased 3 watches from them in 2021. One was well north of $600. Anyway they took my watch in and fixed it for me. The charge? $10.86. I was shocked. I expected something in the $30 range. They have my patronage for anything jewelry related. read more

Great products but staff is hit or miss. Had a coffee maker break right after purchase. According to Fred meyer policy we could return it if it was still in stock which we were told over the phone it was not. Wife also commented that they were really rude for an unknown reason. Went there in person because they had like 5 or more of them 3 days before when I bought the defective one. I find the same pile of them very easily and take one to customer service. I explained what we were told on the phone and that I wanted to swap it out for the one I found. The cashier interrupts me and says ya that was me and I suppose you want a return now right? She then walks off and helps someone else then comes back all shakey on the register and shoves money at me and walks off again. Since she wouldnt even hear what I wanted and lied about policy and what was in stock I mentioned to a nearby manager who did not seem concerned in the least. Went to a competitor with the money and bought a cheaper coffee maker that I still have today. Recently I tried to use the self checkout but got a lecture when I removed things from the bagging area. I explained that it was not possible to scan my whole cart and not remove something and the lady got all weird. I asked if I should go somewhere else she mumbled something about it being ok. So I continued thinking I could finish without causing another error. Then the machine errored again and I explained I had no idea why as I didn't remove anything that time she said nothing and cleared it. So then I tried ringing up some apples and it errored again. The lady walks over and shuts the scanner off and walks away. Literaly the red laser turned off after she flipped some switch. So I take my 90% scanned cart and all my stuff and stand in the assisted checkout instead. Funny thing was my 7 year old said "Dada why was that lady so bad at her job? She should get fired." I love shopping at Freddie. Especially, I am a Freddie card member and I get to collect points for cheap gas. This is not my usual Freddie. But milk is on sale and just need to stalk up. So dropped by here. I like how this location is very good on its stock. Especially for on sale item. Also, this location is not crazy busy. Isle are spaciously wide. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best of all this is in Burlington and that means they don't charge for shopping paper bags. read more

I like this Freddies! Along with low prices on gas, lots of parking and a sporting goods section that is living large with a boatload of fishing stuff and outdoor gear. I stopped by for my lunch in the deli (salami & swiss sub with Fritos and water) and spent the entire lunch hour. I walked out the door with some really cool good stuff for my tackle box. Its never good for me to browse a store with this variety and cash in my pocket! Even better though was that I still had cash left over when I left the store! read more

I've shopped here for years and the young gal with the pink/ purple hair has horrible customer service at the service desk! My son purchased a pair of jeans that were to small as he can't try them on because the dressing rooms are closed due to covid so he purchased them with cash and brought them home. I tried to explain the situation to her which I totally get that you need a receipt for returns but because we were in the area and had the jeans in the car we attempted to exchange them for a size bigger. She said no that w/o a receipt that I couldn't exchange.... again which is fine. It was how rude she was about it. She was very loud and rude and proceeded to remove her mask to continue to make her point that he needs a receipt, did he use his Fred Meyer card. I said no, and no, can't find receipt and no he's 15 he doesn't have a Fred Meyer card and she proceeded to say well here as she tried to pass me a Fred Meyer card. I said no thank you she said why not it's like a Safeway card. I then was frustrated and told her she was being rude and that I spend a lot of $ in this store ($570 in 2 days) her response was she spends a lot of $ in the store too. I told her that she didn't need to yell and be rude only for her to get louder. I spend so much $ at this place this is BS. Kindness goes a long ways. I did speak with a manager and he explained that I can come back when a front end manager is at the store and they can look up his transaction if we can provide the time and lane that was used which we totally can and will do. He was very helpful and professional. I will go back in the am with the jeans and get my exchange. In the meantime I'm on my way back to return my other purchases with my receipt of 410$ and I'll not shop inside the store again. read more

Had I known FM was just a block away from Haggen, i would've bought my Gatorade here lol. $1 vs 0.88 so i bought even more, in Vancouver, this is half the price. It's even bigger than Haggen: got a furniture section, home stuff like lamps, etc. Cool that if you sign up for their card, you get a rebate depending on how much you spend. Like how there's a side parking/entrance too, with the carts right there. Also much better ceiling depth too. read more

My fiance and I have gone here a few occasional times has been OK not the best place we've ever been to shop. The grocery section there is flooded all the time with people and the people in that section just seem stressed and one of the managers got mad at my fiance just because he wanted to cash a coin star and had no other items and wouldn't let him go to a register there just sent him back to customer service. However the electronics section is ok there my fiance and I bought very nice headphones there we love. Also clothing section there is nice. We just would rather shop Safeway for groceries because there is way better customer service and a bit cheaper. read more

I am so done with Fred Meyer and will only go back for things like milk, bread and vegetables. I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to buy something on sale (Rubbermaid, Flawless Beauty, Produce Keepers, etc) only to have it ring up full price at the register and the cashier tells me I have to go to Customer Service. I said just take it off and they won't. Every time I try to go to Cust Svc, there is one person working and an line 6-8 people deep! Lack of open cashier check out lanes is a problem suddenly. I used to be always able to get checked out quickly but now only a couple lanes open 4 carts deep during a week day. I don't want to use a you scan check out,its not practical when a mom is getting a weeks worth of groceries for her family. It's like the step up of Walmart. They carry better goods there. I feel like their store is a little more organized than cleaner than your Walmart. They have sales going on most of the time and you do get coupons in stores. They have a deli and everything for you to eat there during your lunch etc. I would prefer a Freddy over Wally any day. The Mount Vernon location is fine, plenty of parking available. There are other little stores outside as well as a gas station. And I believe their gas can be quite cheap if you don't have a preference in gasoline. The only thing that always bothers me is that Fred Meyers always seems so gloomy when I walk in. read more

Ripped off by Fred Meyers! I have never been a FM shopper. My friend was going so I went with. We both grabbed some sale items that were in the FM flier at the front door. 30 seconds after we both checked out I noticed they charge full price for the sale items. I walked up the first employee and showed them both the receipt and the ad. Just before me was another customer getting upset with this employee (not sure why). Anyway, this employee looked it over and said I sorry I can't help you. I replied with can the checker that I went to help? They said no you have to go over to customer service that had more than 15 people in line. I truly wanted to go off one this person but I realize it's not their fault. If my friend wasn't with me I bet I would have lost it. I do lack self control when it comes to stores ripping people off. I must say this is a big problem and most people aren't willing to speak up. At Kroger's QFC store near me this happens all the time and they are much better at helping you. But I will be rethinking my shopping habits. I may start being that A-hole that holds up the line when the systems fails. I really think people need to start complaining more when this happens to help bring this problem to an end. I would really like to talk to a manager about this but I know that it's not going to stop this from happening. The public needs to complain more to stop this ongoing problem. Another option is to simply stop shopping at places that do this. I would like to tell FM to stick it up their A_s. Walmart is much better! read more

Everything is very easy to find, the store is clean and the lottery machine seems to output winners every time (or at least for me it did). This is a typical Fred Meyer location, so don't be overly excited. Just know that this location will serve you just as the other Fred Meyer locations do. read more

Shit place to work. I worked at Starbucks for a short time and they didn't train me properly. Then the manager quizzed me and expected me to know stuff she literally never trained me how to do. The manager was a gay married woman and flirted with me a few times. One time she held my hand when she was explaining something to me which made me very uncomfortable. The women working behind there are for the most part bitchy. There's an unspoken pecking order where the more dominant, agressive women push others around to get their way. Some of the employees openly argue with each other, make offhand comments or sarcastic jokes that are fake and passive aggressive. There's a lot of insecure women working there. One employee in particular who is short with short hair talks down to her partner when he comes to visit her at work. Just super unprofessional. Not to mention you can't take any tip money if you're working behind the counter. They disperse the tips so that the older women who've been there longer get most of the cut (even on days they aren't working!). When it comes to scheduling, the employees who have been there longer get first pick for the hours. They leave all the closing shifts to the newbies. They don't let you have free drinks on the clock, not even drip coffee cause they're so cheap. It just gets poured down the drain every half hour. Most of the coworkers are just really fake with each other. Two of them (college aged) were really nice though. The rest were fake nice to me. The older women who are married with kids were super condescending. They act like they are better than the younger employees which gets old fast. My manager would tell me often, "no offense but an idiot could make certain drinks so I shouldn't overthink so much" whenever she saw me struggling to figure it out in the beginning. She kept being patronizing to me about drink making and talking to me like I was a poor little girl she pitied. Manager expected me to close the week I started after minimal, disorganized training. She told me that she didn't feel confident I could close yet still put me on closing as if to do some power play shit on me. In all it was an awful experience working there and I'd never recommend this job to anyone!! read more

I brought in a prescription for my very sick 2 year old to a pharmacy and they no longer accepted my insurance so they sent it to Fred Meyer in Burlington and called so they could get it started. Took me a half an hour to get there only to find they hadn't even started it. When I got there I was told a half an hour I came back 40 min later to be told sorry they got busy and still hadn't started it. I'm sitting here still an hour later and they still haven't finished it. I needed to get that dose of antibiotics in before noon and now that's not going to happen thanks to this careless pharmacy. read more

This is the most unorganized store we have been to in our travels across 20 states. The reset has been going on sine March when we arrived in Burlington. Items have been relocated more times than I care to search for. Now two cashiers open that forces self checkout. Not easy when you have $130 of groceries but the line was too long to wait for cashier. If I wanted to checkout groceries I would apply for a job. Will shop elsewhere!!!!! read more
