Another amazing local shop in downtown Mount Vernon! Recently bought by a new owner, Sprouts is a wonderful resale shop that specializes in children's clothes (with some toys, books, accessories, and maternity wear). My wife and I are expecting, some came in and stocked up on lots of onesies, full outfits, and pj's for our little one-to-be! The prices are extremely affordable and the quality of clothes is great! You don't always know what you're going to get with resale/consignment, but this place is great! High quality with low prices...you can't beat it! The new owners are very nice and we had a good little chat with them about the area and town while we were checking out. This consignment store has great deals! I was having a hard time finding maternity clothes locally because I don't like to buy clothes online and the only store that carries maternity clothes anywhere near is Macy's. I got a TON of cute maternity tops and dresses for only a couple bucks a piece and they look practically brand new. Great deals on baby furniture, etc as well. read more

The owner is one of the nicest woman I have met. She is usually willing to make you a good deal and work with you on prices. I haven't tried using their trade in system yet so I'm not sure how fair they are when buying clothing items from you, but when it comes to buying from them the prices cannot be beat. Everything is always in a like new quality and they usually have special sales going on where items are even more discounted. read more

This is a fantastic consignment shop for baby, toddler, and children's clothing & items!! I feel the owner does a great job at carrying only gently used items, and the prices are very fair. You also get a good value when you bring your items in for store credit. I always find what I'm looking for whenever I stop in! Boppy pillow, cloth diaper supplies, clothes, books, shoes, stroller, etc. I have to admit that it's kind of hard to not come in here all the time because there are new items stocked daily! We check out Sprouts every couple of weeks because things tend to move so fast. I always find some good clothes and a lot of items tend to still have the original tags on them. They're also great at accepting large quantities of clothes to sell - I'll bring in bags as my daughter goes up in size and they always take a ton of it and will donate what they don't need. I'm not sure why someone posted that they are closed - they are in fact OPEN. Maybe they were thinking of another consignment store? Anyway - they are a sweet family and I love the store. I have noticed the prices have gone up lately but they have a lot of sales, so maybe it just balances things out :) read more

I always seem to get a fair credit for what I consign. They have a pretty good selection of clothes and toys. My daughter loves playing with the toys for sale while I shop for clothes. The owner is really understanding about this and she's always very friendly. read more

We went to this store today at 9:57am. The store was not opened, we went to the toy store next door. 10:30am store still not opened. The sign on the door said open at 10:00am. Would really like to shop locally, But when the store isn't open, it makes it impossible. read more

Dirty and overpriced. Just one exapmle: I let them know their fuzzi bunz had shot pul and bad elastic, they said that it was okay, people bought them anyway, since the price was low. The price was higher than the other resale shops ask for diapers in great shape that will actually work! Between their low standards, high prices, and difficult parking, I won't be going back. read more
