I really enjoy shopping at Costco, I can slowly browse the aisles and after I have the option to eat at their food counter. It's been a few months since my last visit and they have new food offerings! The choices are: Pizza (cheese or pepperoni), Chicken Bake, Hot Turkey and Provolone sandwich, Combo Calzone, 1/4 pound Hotdog, Rotisserie Chicken Salad, Cold Brew Mocha Freeze, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Caramel Brownie Sundae, Ice Cream Sandwich Sundae, Ice Cream Cup, and Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Wow! A lot of choices compared to a few months ago! I chose the Combo Calzone and it was wonderful (for what amounts to a fast food restaurant)! It took only moments to serve up my calzone because they had a number ready to serve. Even so, the crust was nice and crisp and the fillings (pepperoni, sausage, cheese, tomato sauce, onions, peppers, olives, and mushrooms) were at a very warm, almost hot temperature. It was also very large. I felt like a pig eating the whole thing (just FYI, that is the only way the calzone is served. You cannot request what is inside.) I like the new location for self-checkout. Lining up in the pharmacy was not good for the many shoppers who were trying to get their medications, etc. Now, if something could be done about the food court area. Too many people in a small, poorly organized area. Customers are either waiting to place an order or waiting to pick up their food ...(staffing shortage}? Meanwhile, I try to make it through the crowd to exit and find shopping carts parked while folks eat. It's so congested, I just pass up my chance to buy a delicious Costco hot dog. Perfect Costco spot to get your last gas filled before entering Canada! I have been stopping by this Costco everytime before I go to Vancouver as I know the restrooms here would be clean, and the gas would be at a better price than Vancouver. This is a typical Costco, nothing to write home to mom about. The staff is friendly. The items are there, and of course they are moved every few days so that way you have to hunt the entire store for things. This section is always good and your value is always there. read more

Today my service dog (in training) came in the store like we typically do every weekend; the front greeter Cristine aggressively harassed us and said my dog wasn't really in training. She literally yelled this at us. Not only was I embarrassed but I am extremely upset because I pay to shop here and we have never bothered anyone and my dog still needs more refinement with what I need her to do BUT, she is calm and stays next to me. With the women yelling at me, it totally threw my dog off her focus and that is what makes training more difficult. Every dog is different and I have no problem answering questions when I am asked in a respectful way. This lady Cristine should not work in customer service. We did talk to some management and they have been very kind and assured us that they would handle the situation. I hope this doesn't happen to another customer again because it definitely has changed how comfortable we feel shopping at Costco.. read more

Costco changed their customer service culture recently. if you want use food court, you should waste your time to use longer way from entrance and pass a heavy traffic ( sometimes you are part of that) on cashiers and after that you'll arrive to food court. Waste my energy, waste your employee energy to describe why people should use entrance and waste your strong management abilities to solve the problem. It is really ridicules. I prefer this Costco to Bellingham lately when I don't want to fight the massive crowds. My sister in law lives in Mount Vernon and we like to go for samples and shopping. I find most of what I'm looking for and they do have some different items from the Bellingham store. I have been checking out the many You Tuber's videos to see what shoppers are hauling. This is one of my favorite Costco locations in Washington State. I don't think I've ever had a line longer than five people deep here. Maybe it's just the Skagit Valley pace that keeps this place from being too busy? Located just off of I-5 and near Burlington Blvd. this Costco is convenient during my visits to Mount Vernon and if we ever need to make a stop before heading further north. read more

Yay Costco This location has food court indoors with kiosk short wait times. One of the most unusual things is the dairy selection and number of Canadian people visiting to stock up. Extremely poor customer service. I came in today to purchase an iPhone 14 pro max shouldn't of ignored the red flags... I was standing in electronics for about 5 mins had to go out my way to find the electronics guy. Once I do I ask him if I can purchase the new phone he says sure of course sir I receive the ticket and head to checkout now the proper thing to do once I'm at the checkout stand. (would be take my ticket go to the back and check and see if it's in stock.) they don't do that they have me pay almost $1,400 for them to tell me after I paid actually were sold out! If you guys would've just said "hey were sold out at the moment we'll have more in stock later sorry for the inconvenience" i would've been on my way. But the salesman boasted and acted like it was in stock and I'd be walking out with one in my hands how heartbreaking. read more

Love this Costco location. There are large parking stalls and although the store is always busy, I can find a spot (although it might be a little walk). Coming from NC, I missed the Polish hot dogs...but they have them here!!!!! For 1.50 there is no better deal. Also has a large selection of items and samples are plentiful. We go to Costco 2-3 times a month. Have never had a rude employee or really any negative experience. We buy food there, and eye glasses, cell phones, tv, speakers and pretty much anything we can. We even get some of our prescriptions filled there and we get flu shots etc. too. One exception to the "no rude employees" - one of the guys who give shots is really rude. But we love Costco, no complaints here. read more

Stopped by to pick up some food after my friend kept raving about how American Costcos are so much better than their Canadian equivalents. Only one way to find out. Parking is available in the nice large lot out front. With that said, the place is quite busy. This location has a gas station too. The layout is quite similar to Canada, with the electronics near the door, and samples galore scattered through the store. Prices for certain items (such as cheese) are way less than in Canada, but for many other items, I found the pricing to be similar. The liquor section here is pretty impressive - almost as far as the eye can see. Way cheaper than Canada, and much larger bottles too. Too bad you can't get these things back through Customs. The samples are different, (more "heavy" items like pasta and curry rice), but nothing life-changing awesome. Definitely worth a round through the aisles though. One thing I did find different though is the food stand by the checkout area. There are several items here that simply don't exist in Canada. I tried the chicken bake ($3) and berry smoothie ($1.50). The bake is a large hollow "bun" (more like a Pizza Pocket) stuffed with chicken, bacon, and mayonnaise. This thing is so chock full of sodium, I could feel my blood pressure rising. So beautiful. The smoothie was actually pretty good as well, though it did have a bit of the "cough medicine" taste that may not be for everyone. I didn't try it this time, but they also have a funky corkscrew diced onion dispenser. So cool. Guess I'll try a hot dog next time. read more

Asian are not allowed and shouted by staff when trying to reach food court through exit but white family go through it without being asked and bothered when I was stopped. I like Costco and I enjoy seeing what the different locations offer. Unlike Los Angeles, this store had a large selection of winter boots made by Khombe, which is a well known brand that REÍ sells. I had to do a return first and dealt with a gal who was one tough and rude cookie. Kerri I believe. Typically, everyone in any Costco is pleasant. She was not. But I didn't let it upset me and knew exactly how to deal with her. Keeping the upper hand in any situation wins. I got excited when I saw the wine display by some local winery and was hoping for a sample as we do do in Mexico. Wine. Rum. Tequila. Mescal. But it was not to be. We were checking out in the self checkout area, and felt like we were Criminals, the Employee who was covering our bank of self checkouts was RUDE, and kept saying you can't put that there. If you have boxes why can't we put one in our cart to put what we paid for in it. She needs to be re-assigned to stocker where she wont be interacting with any people. All I can say is when someone tells you they've been hit by a car and are moving their car now; Please don't respond with: You seem to be walking fine. We tow cars after two days. Btw it was 9pm when I ran out of gas at the Costco gas station. Within 20 minutes I was yes indeed struck by a car in the crosswalk at 20mph with cash to grab gas from ampm. A nice manager Ken and associate closing the gas station helped me push it into a spot. Visited my car to push in neutral at 4pm. Grabbed more tools. Got a ride back. 7:20pm my car was towed. 7pm according to the tow yard. Hospital security found my wallet and keys in the parking lot presumably as I was wheeling myself in the ER entrance. Unbelievably RUDE employees (checkers). I have experienced this on several occasions. It really makes for an unpleasant experience. On my most recent visit, they have a sign that requires a mask be worn over your nose, however, I witnessed several of their employees with their masks under their nose. Then they get very nasty when you are not wearing yours over your nose. Very hypocritical. I have been a costco member for over 20 years and this has me really wanting to cancel my membership. I have seen lots of reviews talking about the rude employees at the Burlington location - hopefully management takes note and makes the appropriate customer service corrections. read more

Surprisingly Costco has been slowly adding Gluten free and Organic foods to their store. Besides the Costco in Kapolei Hawaii, (that have fresh sashimi in the fish department daily) this is by far my favourite Costco. Not only does it offer everything you see in your monthly Costco Magazine, minus shipping and handling. There is never a shortage of Mozzarella, Almond butter, Tru Roots Quinoa, and Tru Roots Organic Sprouted Bean trio. Omega 3 brown eggs (18) for only of $3.69. The uber wine selection took up a quarter of this store, with a vintage called Menage a Trois (which was hard to pass up!) This Costco could swallow my local Costco in about 3 gulps! read more

Much bigger & better, wider layout than Bellingham's. Which also means a lot more cars, but still, the actual parking stalls are wider too. Even inside, there's more people ppl but just not so mayhem-like. Their vitamins/supplements section is probably the biggest: 3 aisles full of goodies. And their T-Mobile booth is pretty good selection, & would shame what we have in our Vancouver Costcos, Wireless Wave, probably half the selection of phones. But i've seen the parking lineups for the gas--no one i'm gonna wait for 15min. read more

This Costco has different items than the Bellingham store does. And it doesn't get raided by the Canadians from the border as much either. You can find things here when they are out at Bham, or just don't carry. It's the hard to find kitchen small appliances they have, that is the kicker for me. I have to echo the sentiment about rude employees. Due to the incredibly dumb design of the restrooms you have to access them via the exit or fight through the check out lanes since any unused lane is chained off. The elderly, female employee checking receipts yelled at me for going through the entrance asking where I was going. I replied that I was going to the bathroom. She responded I had to go through the entrance. Poor customer service and I felt like she was on a power trip. All hail the Costco Receipt Checker!
