I was really happy to discover this gas station existed. I was running pretty close to empty and thought I was gonna have to double back. McLoughlin Blvd isn't the easiest street to navigate and I watched, in horror, as I drove past the only gas station I had seen for miles but couldn't have possibly/safely gotten over to it. Then I spotted Fred Meyer and the price which was slightly higher but I had 20 cents off in rewards, bringing it lower! Looking at the hours makes me more grateful since they seem to close pretty early. read more

Absolutely horrible experience at this location today. I drove down to Oregon to visit a family member today, and this was the closest gas station to their house. I decided I would get some gas here before I left and drove back to Washington. Mind you, in Washington, we pump our own gas every day. I have been pumping my own gas since I was 16 years old. Oregon has recently switched to self-serve gasoline, and it's a shit show. The machines on the pumps are not working, and if you ask for help, the attendant will tell you, and I quote, "it's because you don't know how to use it." The attendant did not offer to help me, and instead walked away. That's hilarious given I am from Washington, where I have been pumping my own gas for eight years. I am pretty sure I know how to use a gas station pump. The customer service is terrible, the staff are confused and lost, and the attitudes from the employees are disgusting. I will not be back to the station, and I probably will not be back to another Fred Meyer fueling Station in the state of Oregon. There is a lovely chevron, about a quarter of a mile away, and it was worth driving there instead. read more

After giving up on them for quite some time I saw their price was a bit more reasonable and I had some points I could use. They have at least 2 pumps for self-service, and all of the islands were open with 3 or 4 attendants so at least it was faster, too. I pumped my own just to keep in practice how to do it, but I did see firsthand why it takes so long. Try pumping your own and you'll see what I am referencing. You will have a wait most likely, especially if you are visiting during popular times -- before work, lunch hour, after-work rush. But the prices are at least 50 cents a gallon less than any of the other stations along McLoughlin and that does not factor in any discounts you likely have on your Rewards card. That's $15-$20 a fill-up in savings ... easily worth the wait. Friendly attendants, who hustle around to keep the flow moving as best they can. (Hint: another time saver, have your rewards card and payment card ready when you pull up ... using cash leads to extra delays). read more

Long lines because many of the pumps are blocked off, most likely because they are having a hard time finding employees. Those that work here really hassle, and are surprisingly upbeat and friendly even though they have to hustle non stop. The prices are ten cents less per gallon plus any discount you have acquired, so I deal with the lines when I'm over in this area and need gas. read more

This is the worst gas station I've ever been to. They have like 20 pumps and only 2 open always. The lines are huge and the workers just take their sweet time. I'd rather drive all the way up 82nd and go to the other one. read more

I pull up to the fueling station. Half the pumps have orange cones in front of them. I assume these are out of order. They will only fill on the same side of your tank at this station. There's a small line of 2-3 cars in front of the 6 or so pumps that are present out of THE 14 PUMPS that the station has. To get my tank on the correct side and in an effort to help the small line move along, I pulled in backwards to an open pump telling the attendant I would back out to keep moving in the same direction as traffic - in the direction of the arrows painted on the ground. He told me he couldn't help me and that EVEN BACKING OUT IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION OF THE ARROWS is not allowed. It took me over 15 minutes to even get the pump started filling my tank. Minimal line. Only 2 attendants. Embarrassing. read more

This is a cool location because you can have a view of the old B2 bomber next door. Just like any other gas station, there are times that they will be super busy and other times that they will not. Fred Meyer Fuel is a great option for your fuel needs because they are competitive with pricing. You can also get an additional discount with your Rewards number too. read more

Carl at the Fred Meyer fuel center on McLaughlin BLVD in oak grove/Milwaukie area is extremely Sexist and mean to his customers. I ran out of gas while I was pulling into the gas station. He told me I needed to move my car because I wasn't facing the right way. I said "I would but I just ran out of gas and can't move." (I barely made it so I backed into a lane and was more than happy to back out after I had fueled up a bit to keep the traffic flow going) So he immediately said "You need to get out of the way" and tried to push my car forward, into oncoming traffic to "figure it out myself". He yelled at me to put my car in neutral. I said very calmly "No Thank you!" And I repeated myself about 5 times until he stopped trying to push on my car while yelling at me. He then came back around to my window and was yelling at us and not giving us the information we requested as to how to contact a manager, or see how we could resolve this issue. Not to mention he denied our request to talk to a different fuel attendant that was working there with him. Then he yelled at my mother and I saying "You can't always get what you want, THIS ISNT YOUR BEDROOM OR YOUR HOUSE!" Like we were some little sheltered spoiled girls! He also said "You can just sit here and wait until the cops get here!" He then proceeded to tell his coworkers to not help or or even talk to us! We ended up talking to another younger fuel attendant working there and he was very nice and tried explaining things to us. So we ended up putting a small amount of gas into my car ourselves so we could make it to another BETTER gas station than this one. I am just speechless with how we were treated this morning at this gas station! This is why women need to carry protection! My mom was almost in tears and this man kept yelling at us and being completely unreasonable. We were afraid to have our window down after I told him we were uncomfortable talking to him because he wouldn't leave us alone after I told him "No thank you!" Many times. Great, great, great fuel station. Plenty of stalls for all the vehicles to pull in. Be careful, one-way traffic. Two cars per side at least. Problem is, not too many attendants! Like most things Fred Meyers related the service has plummeted. The wait is always 5 cars deep. There is zero hustle by most of the employees. They always have at least half of the pumps coned off because of short staffing or computer problems depending on who you ask. It's pathetic. I often just go up the road to Olson Bros. Local family owned and guess what, zero problems! Sure I pay a bit more for gas but the 20 minutes saved it well worth it! So long Freddie's! Cheapest gas around. Slow service and always busy. Everyone is real nice though. I used to be able to look at the B17 bomber while my car fueled up and think about the 1989 film, The Memphis Belle. Remember when that one plane slices right through the tail section of one of the bombers? A nameless silhouette falls out of the plane to his death. I seriously could not believe the way my husband, another customer and I were treated at the Oak Grove location. We visited the evening of April 1st, so I thought maybe this was an April Fool's joke or something. No, Henry and his little side kick, shoulder length dark haired girl, who refused to give her name, were EXTREMELY RUDE. Another customer couldn't get his car started after getting his gas and dark haired girl said, "Move your car and get out of my way!" After the customer explained that his car wouldn't start. Unbelievable! They both spoke VERY RUDE to my husband. We gave the guy a jump and dark haired girl was running her mouth the whole time. Please don't keep employees like this. We've been using this location for years but we will definitely take our business elsewhere for now on. A few cents off a gallon of gas isn't worth being treated like we were. Generally the gas is cheaper than others in town, which makes you go back. That said, they have the worst service there. Busier gas stations with less employees move faster than anyone working here. Usually at least one employee per two vehicles and yet it will always take at least 10 minutes to get gas. Longer at busier times. Fred Meyer fuel is great, but this particular location needs some major improvement. read more

Love getting gas here! I shop at Freds all the time so I can fill up my truck and get up to a 1.00 off/gal
