This is the closest grocery store to my house, so I'm here often. Quality of stuff is great, and service is generally good. Giving 3-stars because I think some of the employees could use some better training. One time, I approached an employee and when he saw me walking towards him, he got on his phone/walkie talkie and walked away. It looked fake and that he was obviously avoiding me. Another time, my father asked an employee and it seemed that the employee seemed to not understand him. Keep in mind that my dad, despite being an immigrant, has lived in this country for 40+ years and has no accent, but the employee must have imagined one after seeing an older brown man. read more

This store is a frightful mess. 9 out of 10 times I shop here, I've been overcharged for at least one item. They are constantly running out of produce items, the store is disorganized and dirty- and employees seem to just throw their hands up in helplessness when faced with the problem. And another thing -- the deli employees throw attitude when you try to get sliced to order. . They push the pre sliced, old and contaminated garbage in the case next to fried chicken and random salads. Ick. read more

And now it's hit rock bottom. The store refuses to enforce any protective requirements even with a governor's order plastered right on the door. "To avoid altercations," I was told. Such baloney. Clearly they know that their clientele leans lowbrow, and lowbrow clientele blows off masks and related rules because that's how it goes. This is especially terrible for the employees, who supposedly have to wear the masks (yet some still don't). I feel very badly for the staff. This is one of three grocery stores very close to were I live and the best of all. I regularly shop here and it has pretty much everything that I need for any kind of situation. Produce, always have a good selection of fresha dn local produce. Meats, have plenty of choices in cuts for reasonable prices Beer, it's a beer aisle from end to end with plenty of local and national choices. They have a huge selection of 22oz bottles to choose from at good prices. Electronics, have a good electronics department with plenty of games. read more

Have several complaints. Pharmacy has the most unprofessional employees. One woman named Dani has lied over and over again re prescriptions called in by my doctor. I was standing right there when the doctor phoned it in and she said she spoke with Dani. When I went to pick it up, Dani said she didn't have it. I said doctor called it in yesterday and Dani said no she didn't. I said yes, I was standing right there. She replied no she didn't. Today I was first in line to pick up prescription. This is the first time Dani told me I had to wait to the side because she had to rebill it. It takes 2 seconds to rebill, she has always done it with me at the register, but today every customer behind me was more important than the one that was first in line. Produce. You expect to be able to ask someone if they carry something and they would know. Instead he walked me over to where it would be if they carried it and looked around. I told him I already did that and couldn't find it. Do you carry it? He just looked at me. Deli. Cannot tell you how many times the deli staff will avoid making eye contact with their customers. I have had it happen to me and watched it happen over and over again to other customers. They avoid helping anybody. Store has worst customer service, unknowledgeable, rude and couldn't smile if their life depended on it. Have been doing Fred Meyer Pick-Up since March, 2020. :( They ALWAYS do a great job, are friendly and punctual. And FREE. Don't use Instacart! They don't coordinate with Fred Meyer very well and will do whatever it takes to get the most money from you, even if the item turns out to be garbage. read more

The store is great! And the gas is cheap! BUT, if I were to go to hell, my version would be getting gas here for eternity. That's about how long it takes already. This store is sadly one of the older ones, and appears dirty and disorganized. Quite a few items seem to be out of stock regularly. There also appears to be many employees standing around, talking and uninterested in helping the customers that keep them in their jobs. Well that was horrible. My wife was diagnosed with influenza and needed a prescription filled. We arrived in the rain, she has a mask on, feels crummy. The (very nice) lady mentioned they were closing in 6 minutes (which is why we didn't get there in 7...). She asked the pharmacist if they could do it and he said no, sending my sick wife back out in to the rain without a prescription filled! If you want to be out by 7 why not close at 630??! If it says you are open you should take care of your customers until you are closed then not take any more customers....at the time you close. Very nice lady at the counter, I could tell she felt terrible. Pharmacist though...geez, have a heart man. What's wrong with you?! Never in my life going back here. read more

I've been in line for ten minutes. Sitting at a stand waiting for an attendant. They are helping everyone and walking slowly and the staff just doesn't seem very well trained. There are two cars in line and they got here a second ago and someone ran to help them. I normally go to Fred Meyers in Cornelius and they have very fast service. Despite that it's bigger location than most, they should staff accordingly. read more

As much as I'd like to see my excessive reviews of various FM locations cease, I just can't bring myself to do it. The good: There's a Cinnabon inside, which is pretty cool, since it isn't the usual run-of-the-mill Starbucks. The bad: Filling station on north side of parking lot that is usually VERY busy (until the late evening), therefore requiring either a wait, or a departure to go to 76 or Shell down the street. The ugly: I was disappointed to find no cold cans of Monster Energy Drink in the chilled beverage section tonight. (This is a reoccuring problem at most Fred Meyer locations around Portland.) If there was a popularity contest between this location and the Cornelius store, I'd vote for the crew in C-town - all the same amenities with less congestion of customers. read more

While not my absolute favorite version of FM in the world, it's so conveniently located that I find myself stopping here multiple times a week. Hence the 4 stars. Fred Meyer has just about the best selection of "basic" supplies under one roof that is available, well, anywhere locally. It's the Swiss Army Knife of grocery/megamarkets. I would prefer that they were still locally owned and operated, but Kroger's influence hasn't (seemingly) changed FM into something that it was never intended to be, and I like that. FM is the first place I think of when I want to purchase stuff like this: Basic groceries (cheese, bread, cereal, milk...). Socks. Windshield washer fluid. Puzzles. Beer. Garden hoses. Paint brushes. Greeting cards. Stuff that I would consider shopping for elsewhere first: All varieties of home theater equipment. Furniture. Tobacco (if I was a user). Picture frames. I assume you get the idea. One thing that you don't see in every FM is a Cinnabon inside, but this has one. I can't exactly say that I've ever had a single item from Cinnabon, but walking past and catching a whiff of some cinnamon rolls right out of the oven certainly gets the salivary glands working overtime. read more

Alright. Been coming here more and I've been getting used to the service. The store is always clean. The store looks so much brighter since the remodel back in 2009. Prices have become reasonable. There is this one cashier, I forgot her name, but she is extremely friendly and helpful. I try to go through her line when she cashiers. Also the clerks at the Starbucks kisok are friendly and helpful. The only problem I now have is the bottle return. The machines need a good cleaning and maintenance check. I always have issues with full bins, slow response when I push the button for assistance and bins that seem not to accept items even though the store carries them. When they do come they are happy to do a hand count. Over all my experience is better then before, and thus an updated review. read more

I am less than happy with my experience this morning. My wife called in an order for me to pick up...I did. It was very quick. Didn't even have to get out of my car. I got home and told this to my wife. "Wow, that was pretty easy and convenient.",I said. But then we realized that we had an incomplete order. So seeing as I had just got home, I did something else and she called to notify them. The instructions were for me to return to the store, come inside, find the product myself, and go to customer service. I was totally shocked that they wouldn't bring the item out to my car. In my opinion that would have rectified the mistake without adding more inconvenience. And in addition the customer service associate didn't even check my receipt, she just put the chicken strips in a bag. Very disappointed with the service. I have been waiting in the gas line for 25 minutes now (that I have TIME to write this review in the gas line!) I am extremely upset with the service and inefficiently to fill gas! There are people showing up and getting their gas done before me and I have been waiting here for 25 minutes in my line and there is no room to switch lines because people keep showing up! I should have just gone to costco, I have been a loyal buyer of gas from fred meyers but this is the last time i will ever be spending my money at this fred meyers OR ANY fred meyers and I will be telling all of my friends and family to not go to this location any more! The produce at this store is terrible. Not only are they always running out of items or have limited supply but it is of poor quality. The red leaf lettuce is at least half the size of other stores, the bell peppers are all soft, the zucchini is all scarred and marked up. I bought two containers of strawberries 2 days ago and pulled them out of the fridge today and they are covered in mold. I will be purchasing my produce somewhere else from now on. read more

It's the store that has everything, clothing, gardening, electronics, paint and yes groceries. It's fairly close to the house and I'll go there mostly for household items. Grocery prices aren't the best around. Clothing seems to be fairly limited at this location (at least men's). I do wish at times that they would have more checkers. read more

This is my neighborhood Fred Meyers. I do like it. I love the fresh produce and the variety. I like to check out the seasonals and browse the wine selection. I like Fred Meyers. All of them. Well...not all of them. There are some true gems in certain neighborhoods that I avoid altogether if at all possible. You know which ones I'm talking about. I like the prices and the store is neat. This place is great for last minute gifts. Thank goodness for Fred Meyers. The staff is really nice. As far as Fred Meyers go, this is a pretty standard one, except their produce department. I am constantly amazed by the quality. Everything always looks so fresh and the majority of the stuff isn't bruised. Their meat department is pretty stellar as well, although I can usually get the same quality or better for less per pound at Costco. Very rarely do I get asked if I need help, and usually have to hunt someone down to ask (I'm short and the other day I had to ask for someone to get a soda off the top shelf for me, when they were clearly seeing that I was struggling). Overall, this Fred Meyer and the Beaverton one are my favorite grocery stores in the area, I like this one better for produce though. read more

I normally love this location but today an item rang up at $13.99 instead of $9.99. I let the attendant know and it took her over 15 mins to find out that they had incorrectly placed it or signed it. I would have just paid the $4 more if I knew how long verification would have taken. Even worse they won't give me the discount because it was wine. Double bad experience!!! NO STAR! Fail. Great grocery spot except incredibly ignorant pharmacy staff. Before anybody decides to trust this location, I suggest you not. I gave this pharmacy a chance for a whole year and they failed. Why? I refill 4 medications and they weren't ready because they told me to come inside and telling them face to face instead of calling &/ pressing my medications # I didn't find it a big deal since I occasionally shop here. Until my medications were constantly late although I know to refill my medications on time aka a week ahead. Their lame excuse was to tell me to call my own insurance and neurologist . They repeatedly love to lie about how I have to pay for my medications but I know for a fact that I'm fully covered with 2 insurances. As a matter of fact: they charged me 3 months long, but I always stood my ground. I finally got to speak to the manager and he saw my unread email that they did not check and I was given my money back. Excuse you, but that's not right. That's your job and you need to do it. That's why you're pharmacy technicians in the first place. All you have to do is call for me and you're complete, but you never bothered to kindly help me out. You made me stressed out and struggle for 1yr long. It was obnoxiously annoying to deal with you. I talked to my own neurologist about this situation. He agreed that this pharmacy wasn't doing its duty and I should immediately switch to go to a proper professional pharmacy. F you all. I'm not sorry. read more

This is the worst Fred Meyer ever! The majority of the employees are rude and unhelpful. It's hard to get help when you need it. They also have the most bizarre coupon policy ever! You can find in store coupons that Fred Meyer display on the shelves, but if you want it use it with your own manuf, coupon, they won't allow it. They will claim it's a "mauf" coupon, even with "Fred Meyer" printed on it. Loads of other stores, like Target, Rite Aide, Walgreens and Safeway, ALL allow you to use their store coupon, PLUS your own manuf. coupons, no problem. Fred Meyer will not, and when I brought this to their attention, they got quite dismissive, and asked me to leave! Over a coupon! Needless to say, I no longer shop there. I refuse to shop at a store when they could care less about my business. They need to understand, it's us customers, who are the reason they're there in the first place. Obviously, they don't care about treating a customer rudely. UI refuse to give them anymore of my business and will celebrate the day this God awful store goes out of business! STAY AWAY! read more

Electronics department doesn't understand their own policies. Won't take returns that other Fred Meyers in the area do. Was told by the other stores that this location does not want the returns on their books, so they either deny the return or tell them to go to another store. New return policy states "if you are unhappy with your unopened product, please return it for a full refund". Tell me something, FM. How can I be happy or unhappy with a product if I can' t open it? read more

This pharmacy is ridiculously unorganized! I am so frustrated right now! I came in to drop off a prescription that I would normally fill at Albertson's here because I was doing it on my lunch break when I dropped it off I asked him how long it would take because I am on my lunch break he said 30 minutes max I came back in 30 minutes and they informed me that I don't have insurance I told them I know that that's why I gave him a prescription discount card OK and then he said they haven't even started and he doesn't know why so he said he would put a rush on itAnd it has now been an hour and 15 minutes and it is still not done. I understand people get busy and they can only go as fast as they can... However all I ask is that you're straight up with me and tell me it's going to be over an hour to fill it instead of being more worried about me transferring my prescription to their pharmacy.
