No safety support for customers! An off duty manager was shopping at the store while off duty ran me with her cart in line while waiting for the cashiers and made a serious threat to me. Everything is on camera. I was pretty much the last customer at the store and she was right before me, right at closing time around 11:50 pm on December 27th. Manager on duty covered up for their manager/coworker and started speaking Spanish with her so I don't understand what they're saying, and employees and security acted like they didn't see anything, or they couldn't because they can't speak up against managers while I was seeking their help and no body cared for my safety!!! Everything is on camera clearly as there were at least 6 cameras near by the cashier near the line where I was standing, cameras should have all voice and picture. My blood pressure is still high-- it's not normal this is serous! Verbal threats and physically I was ran by this off duty Ross-Dress-for-Less manager/employee, who was wearing glasses, about 5'4 short heavy round build medium dark tan skin with a few freckles on face and about late 40-s to mid 50-s. I don't need to be killed or go through this just because I asked her if she wanted to check out before me. I asked her politely if she wanted to check out before me as I wasn't ready. She ran me over by her cart and used offensive and threatening language even started cussing me in Spanish. Physically right now I'm still shaking and my heart is palpating quickly still after 3 hours. Had I not say that I was going to call the police if she takes it further. This is not ok, this complaint needs to be raised to the legal department if I'm able to survive this night. read more

By far the worst Ross I've been to. Everything is scattered. There's a huge selection of sweaters in the "shorts" section. There's M shirts in the XL Tees sections.. like wtf is going on here? Does anybody give a f**k? read more

I am very impressed with the clothing selections and services at this Ross location. I like that they have a petite section and smaller sizes in evening dresses. The employees are courteous and the store is clean and well organized. They have a nice selection of handbags and travel bags. They also offer a 30 day return policy. Special kuddos to Jayne who was working at the fitting room when I came in. She was very patient and helpful as I chose an evening dress for a special occasion. She is definitely an asset to this store. read more

lights have been off in the parking lot at night so it is pitch black. This has been going on for weeks and months and I am boycotting the store until they get their act together because it is not safe walking through the parking lot. Also there is no public restroom which is ridiculous in such a large store. Finding an employee on the floor to help is almost impossible. The store is very disorganized. read more

This location has significantly gone downhill. No one is around to help you. The store is an absolute disaster. Clothes are security tagged together so you can't even try them on. They no longer have a public use restroom and will direct you to Michael's or Target to use their restrooms. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

Had an emergency and desperately needed a restroom. I begged to use the restroom that they clearly had access to. The girls in the fitting rooms were so rude. I went ahead and puked in one of your towels and put it back on your shellf. I think you may have lost me as a forever customer!! This location is terrible, don't waste your time or money coming here because the employees are lazy and keep certain items off the floor until a customer that comes in and pays the employee off for them. Even with the right expectations, the Ross falls short. Of the Portland area locations, the Tanesbourne store is more disorganized, has less inventory and feels even more outdated. Even the check out lines move slower than others. If I'm at this strip mall for other purposes and have the time, I will stop in and do a quick run through. I don't love Ross. But I will go in there every now and again and find cheap button up plaid shirts. I don't find amazing finds often. Staff are nice but the store overwhelms me and feels chaotic with stuff everywhere. Good If you are really on a budget but If not on a strict budget I don't go here except the year I wanted all the button up plaid shirts that I still have. read more

Note: Think twice before shop in this Ross. Their restroom is not for customers. I would recommend bring in your own cup, or "container" if you will and do it it in the fitting room or else wet your pant while shopping. Stay away from this Ross! There are other Portland Ross stores also that won't let customers use their restrooms, so ask before entering is highly recommended. read more

MY WALLET WAS STOLEN HERE . Staff did absolutely nothing and would not cooperate with police even though the whole thing was on camera. Had to call corporate 5 TIMES to ask how the investigation was going. Went in person to the ross and nobody knew what I was talking about even the managers. Basically got a "dang that sucks!" every time. A crime was committed in your store and a hardworking college student had all her identification as well as $400 cash I had been meaning to deposit that day. Police kept saying they hadn't heard back from Ross, disappointed in your lack of care when a crime was committed against a very frequent customer. read more

Been here a number of times. I find it to be a better Ross than most. The place was clean and in order after Christmas. That's a feat. The check-out line can get insane sometimes, but the cashiers are friendly about it. This place is awesome for gift baskets, shoes, work out stuff, pretty much everything. The only thing I recommend staying away from is the makeup. It's usually been rummaged through and everything is messed up somehow. My boyfriend scored some awesome slacks and button up shirts for much less than they would've been elsewhere. Even Target. We checked. We'll be back for that wool Calvin Klein jacket. Original price? $250. Ross price? $49.99. I never understood paying an outrageous amount of money on clothes. Especially if you can get the same thing for much cheaper. Do you love it? Overall it is a good store. We all know what to expect from Ross which is disorganization in the racks and not knowing if there is going to be another of that same item you like. Now if you move pass that and look at the store I would say this is a fairly good one. First the store normally clean ish minus the holiday times when they are CRAZY busy. Second the workers are normally friendly and willing to help where they can. It is a little annoying that you can not take the carts out of the store but that a company rule soo.. read more

They want you to take off the hangers and they won't hand you your receipt, they want you to get it yourself. Dang it, Ross. I love your kick-ass deals but your return policy is wack. I don't understand how the back of your receipt says refund in form tendered within 30 days WITH tags on AND WITH reciept, yet over the past 2 years I've had 2 returns I've needed to do and they will not issue me a refund back on my debit or cash. I don't get it. The employees literally will not answer me when I ask. They either are silent, ignoring my question and saying, "Next!" or They just keep asking about a store credit. Whatever. Just know regardless what it says or other locations you will not get any money back in any form except store credit. Always clean store. Always a line. I'm shocked security all stand at front and not walk around the store... it's annoying to have such a line and see people there not able to help check out. I love Ross because they are so cheap. I'm not ashame to say that most of my wardrobe collections are from Ross. You can find pretty much everything there, from shirt, pants, skirts, shoes, socks, purses, bath and body stuff, home decoration, to hot sauce. My recent purchase there was only $19.00 and I bought a spring jacket, two pillow cases, and a yoga mat. I love this place, I can spend like hours here. I'm not cheap, I'm just frugal. read more

Going into Ross, you're expecting a few things: bargains, crowds, screaming children being forced to sit in shopping cars while their oblivious parents scour the racks, and a splash of disorganization. I'm happy to say, this location hits the mark on bargains, with only a bit of the other factors thrown in. I've been in several times, and surprisingly, I've always found exactly what I was looking for with minimal annoyance from crowds and/or screaming children. No matter the season, they always seem fully stocked in the clothing and shoe department - which I can't say for some other locations I've visited. They've got plenty to choose from in every other department as well, at the excellent prices you expect. The store can be a bit disorganized at times, but is usually decent. My one complaint? There always seems to be a line to check out - no matter what time of day, what time of year, I'm always waiting. 'Tis fine though, as I'll wait for a good bargain! read more

It goes without saying that most Ross stores are pretty terrible; you go for the prices, not the merchandising and customer service. This one, however, is an absolute dumpster fire. The lines are always really long, there's no staff, and because of the separate return/purchase lines you get to stand there and watch people who arrived at the registers five minutes after you did get served first. unfortunately every time I come here there's a long line of customers and very few cashiers. Today I'm in With two cashiers extremely long line and one cashier just standing there doing nothing. When asked if she could open another register she had some excuse so that she could not, but she's more than happy to just stand there and do nothing. Checked out this store the other day and had a great experience! I always have loved Ross Dress for Less but never been to this location. Nice friendly and helpful employees! This store was a bit bigger than the ones I normally go to but I liked that. I still don't love the cart situation where I can't take the cart out of the store because that is just frustrating when trying to carry your stuff to your car and especially hard with kiddos but luckily I was able to handle it! read more

The Hillsboro store, IMO, have ugly clothes for women. and there's shelves with no merchandise.

I'm here on a Thursday afternoon, not too busy but the line was backed up because there was only one cashier available. I had a return so I stepped into the return line (I was the only one there). Eventually they called for another cashier but the return line wasn't moving because the return before me was taking so long. Ross does this thing where the return line takes one return then one purchase then one return. Eventually everyone in the purchase line was checked out before I checked out. Again, I was the only one there. The times I've had to wait for the line to go down is ridiculous. Ross, please get rid of the check out line all together and have cashiers do returns and purchases. Marshalls across the street does this and the line times are more efficient. read more

I have shopped at many a Ross. This one was just like the rest. There are good deals to be had if you don't mind doing some digging. So plan on having a little extra time to shop. I chose several different things to try on and then took them all to the dressing room. I found a a really nice black dress that is not quite as revealing as the proverbial little black dress, but could be worn for many occasions (Funerals, date night or even work) The retail on it was 79.99. I got it at Ross for 22.99 Great Deal! It was high quality material. I have received many compliments on it. I have bought many toddler clothes here for my grandson at a great price. I just can't stand paying full retail price for clothes. So I don't. read more

A Ross is a Ross, all locations has the same layout. The location seems a bit smaller than more Ross' I've been to. Very slim selection of women's shoes. For some reason theres a ton of mis-matched shoe sizes. Really? Why would I buy a size 6 and a size 7... Clothing wise, there always some good finds if you're willing to take the time to look for it. Weekends = long lines! but it goes fairly quick because they have all registers open. They have a whole aisle of doggy items - beds, toys, storage containers, etc. BUT no pee pads, if you find any, then you are lucky because it's so much cheaper than petco/petsmart. read more

I used to go in occasionally and it had decent stuff. Today when I went in it seemed like they had combined two stores and it it all into one. I couldn't get my cart down half the isles bc there was so much stuff crammed together. Several things didn't have price tag which was really annoying. As far as Ross goes this one could be a lot better. Check out anything you buy in a box here before you bring it home. I bought some buffet lamps, brought them home and found them shattered in the box. I was able to return them but it was a hassle. They have cheap linens, pillows, kitchen stuff, waste baskets, clothes, luggage, seasonal items and more. Low prices but you get what you pay for. read more
