I was using skylakes downtown pharmacy for all of my medications for a couple of years now. I injured myself a couple of years ago and had to get put on pain medication which is a controlled substance and can not be filled until after 11 am at the skylakes downtown pharmacy. I physically can not wait until 11 am to get my pain medication and so i ended up switching to fred meyers pharmacy and they are so understanding and very quick to put a (stat) on my pain meds, which means they put me first in line to fill my medication for me so i dont have to wait until close to noon to pick it up. I have been so disappointed over the last few years. I just bought bacon from the meat department but it was torn in half - not whole slices of bacon! I have bought their cooked shrimpcto eat that night and twice it was rotten. The produce is not always great. The limes I just bought were dry. I needed three to get an ounce of juice. Then I spend 10 minutes logging into their app to get 2 dollars off a jar of pasta sauce. A saving grace is one time a woman working produce ask me if I needed help while I was logging in to get a digital coupon for a pineapple. I used my sister's Fred Myer loyalty membership # to get a discount on gas. I think we saved three cents a gallon. The second time we didn't provide the number as it wasn't a big savings. In Oregon they have gas attendants to pump your gas. Years ago hubby got out of the car to pump gas and the attendant knew right away we were from California where we pump our own gas. Fred Myer is a like a Target, but on a larger scale. They sell clothes, garden supplies, household goods, food, bakery, deli etc. Their store layout is kind of weird. It's one floor. It looks more like an office building than a store at first glance. We saved $18 in groceries using my sister's Fred Myer loyalty membership #. The customer service provided by him was terrible, my papa and I kept getting an error message and we went up there to ask for help and he instantly was rude and started to yell at us when we said the screen wasn't showing the amount for the gas. He had an attitude and he was very unprofessional when all we needed was help at the pump because our card kept charging only 4 cents. He should not be a manager. The pharmacy needs to get their shit together. I put in a prescription renewal 5day in advance of it running out and also contacted my physician with the same request. I heard back from my dr the next day and they would contact Fred Meyer pharmacy. Ran out of the prescription and called the pharmacy. The representative said they would rush it and it would be ready in an hour. Showed up at the hour. The rep then told me 20 mins came back and stood in line again and they said to have a seat and 20 minutes later they still had not called me. As far as Fred Meyer stores go, this is about average - not too bad and not the greatest either. The layout is very 80's and is one of the few of its design (Eugene may have a similar store.) They had a pretty decent inventory - they don't mix paint anymore and didn't have a big and tall section. Pharmacy was efficient the two times I've used it when coming up from Nevada (they're linked to our Smith's in Dayton) and I've had better luck getting drugs there than I do at Smith's. Happily driving through the state to get to Crater Lake National Park and found we needed gas the truck up and replenish our food supply for camping. Saw this large supermarket-type building with a large lot so we decided to pull in. Boy am I glad we did! When we first entered, we encountered the clothing retail part first. Really felt more like the inside of Macy's rather than Target. Then there was a jewelry store section. We had to quickly walk past all these else we get caught and kill hours in here. The grocery was great for replenishing our coffee, milk, hot chocolate, fruits, breads and others supplies. The deli was great for a real hot meal. I've just come from this store where we stopped in and bought groceries while on a road trip -Truckee to Portland - and had the misfortune to need to use the restroom. My wife did as well. The cashier was delightful but the restrooms were atrocious. The men's room had only one sit down stall operating. The seat was stained, the stall door didn't lock, and the TP was thin. I'm pretty sure Fred Meyer sells good quality toilet paper. Would it be too much to ask they fix the toilets, and stall doors? And while their at it, stock some good quality TP! The paper towels overflowed the garbage can, and the whole experience was shabby. I'm tired of hearing that things are jammed up because of Covid. That has become the catch phrase to explain away shitty customer service. Fred meyers pharmacy is a perfect example. Getting them to answer their phone is even more difficult than getting them to fill your child's prescription in a timely manner. They gave me three excuses in the course of a minute to explain away their inability to count out 30 tablets in a two hour time. Hell, Walmart pharmacy, as bad as they are, is still better than Fred Meyers. This town deserves better than this crap. Until we stand up and toe the line these places will continue to screw us over. Update... after three days of being lied to and jerked around by these incompetents, we're being told that it will now be Monday before they can fill the child's prescription. I LOVE THIS STORE! If I need something, I check Fred Meyer first. It's like Fred Meyer is a vortex that's connected to my brain. Any time I need something, all I have to do is think about it, and BAM! there it is - at Freddy's! Decent selection of organic vegetables and Natural Foods. The only place better for these options would be Natural Grocers, but then you'll deal with a price difference. The Simple Truth Organic line of products has continued to expand with more vegan, plant-based options, and that pleases me greatly! Every time I have an interaction with a staff member it is pleasant. I swear, Fred Meyer does not hire people who have bad days hahaha and I EXTRA appreciate that here in Klamath Falls, where it can be extremely difficult to find upbeat, friendly, and ultimately helpful customer service. Went to my doctor's office to pickup a prescription as the drug I take has always required a paper prescription. They told me the new and improved deal is the Rx is now sent to the pharmacy by email. So I phoned the pharmacy and put in my information. The automated system told me my drugs were ready for pickup. So it went to the pharmacy and did the usual half hour line wait. When I finally got to the counter I was told that it wasn't ready yet. I said "the phone system told me it had been ready since 2pm". She said 'you can't go by what the phone says". Fred Meyer is such a great store that really does have everything from great workout clothes to electronics to groceries! Whatever you might be looking for, chances are, its here! And they also have great sales as well, we bought our TV here during their awesome after-Christmas sale! They also have a great jewelers, too, we have bought necklaces for the moms here, and my husband bought me a necklace here as well, I really love it! They also have an optional warranty you can purchase with your jewelry, in case anything breaks, and I believe you can come in and get free cleanings as well of anything that was bought there. The quality at Fred Meyers is a step above the other box stores in town, and although their groceries are a bit pricier, for some items, it is worth it! A good, clean store, it also has a great atmosphere. Whether it be shoes, clothes, electronics, jewelry, groceries, garden items, what have you, Freddy's is a cut above the rest. They have a rewards card as well you can sign up for, and the more you shop, the greater discounts you get. One of the discounts is on gas (there is a gas station outside), and sometimes you get 10 or 20 cents off per gallon....if you are filling up an SUV or pickup, that is a great discount! We were in the area for a few days on a summer road trip and we were so impressed by this store. It it part of the Ralphs/Kroger family so your Ralph's or Kroger's card will work here. It's huge and has everything from prepared foods, groceries, clothing, electronics, and gas! The prices seemed very good to me and we got $0.40 per gallon off the price because of all my Ralph's points. That's a lot more than what I get in LA! (It's max $0.20) Overall, we were able to get everything from drinks, snacks, and sandwiches to bug spray, TUMS, and gas. The two times we've been here, we had extremely friendly and courteous service. And I was extremely impressed by the fact that they had some sort of supervised children's area for when the parents are shopping. "The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and Jeopardy comes on at 7 pm instead of 7:30." The store is big and boxy, yes, but it is here that comparisons fade. Peet's coffee, haircuts, jewelers, banking... what more could you need? When I returned to wait in line 25 minutes for the refund of my money I was told that happens a lot with the yellow onions. Hmmm. I smell something really really fishy. First of all, let me just say that I don't think that any one who shops here should ever, EVER under any circumstances get the sushi here. 1. This is not real sushi. 2. It's not made by a sushi chef. 3. A California Roll does not qualify as real sushi. It is imitation crab and mayo with avocado and cucumber. There is nothing raw about imitation crab. 4. When I looked at the sushi selection, it looked like it had been prepared the day before and sat overnight, and for at least another 8 hours before my hungry eyes gazed upon it and quickly averted themselves because they were filled with disgust. That being said, let me discuss my shopping experiences with you here. Fred Meyer has GREAT sales. The day after the 4th of July, they had a sale on women's clothing, and if you had an extra 25% coupon, you could save even more! I got a pair of Dockers for $15. They were marked down from $45! WHAT A DEAL!!!!!! Since Gottschalks went out of business, this is probably one of the few places you can go to for actual clothes shopping. I love the fact that they have a Peet's in the store. I grow weary of Starbucks, Dutch Bros, and the Human Bean. While Starbucks does serve real coffee, the other two places are just coffee masked with flavored, sugar laden syrups. My taste buds ache for a real cup of strong brewed coffee!!!! Thank GOD for this Peet's, otherwise I'm sure I would perish every time I came up to visit my folks. I also adore that they have a Chase and a Hair Masters. I have gotten some of my best haircuts by the ladies at Hair Masters!! However, I miss the Carl's Jr that used to live in the Fred Meyers. I really do. That was the only decent fast food place in this town. The deli section, where they serve that terrible impostor that is not sushi, but actually something else, is TERRIBLE. The last time I went all the prepared food looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. The sushi looked like it had been prepared the night before and it was still sitting there at 3 p.m. the next day. The macaroni and cheese looked as hard as a rock. Most of the food looked dried out. GROSSTASTIC!!! The Fred Meyer deli used to be a legit place, but obviously it has taken a turn for the worse. Grocery shopping here can get expensive. The store in itself is 4+ stars because it's very clean, has great selection, and fabulous customer service. My 3 star review is for their sushi. It's made fresh daily, and while it's not as good as Hanayori, I was really impressed that they offer brown or white rice. It's SO hard to find brown rice at any restaurant, not to mention as sushi rice! And the California Roll (yes, it is imitation crab, though) is a very generous serving for $6. I took my son there because it was Sunday and the other two places were closed. It worked just fine, tasted ok, and made a great picnic. But the sushi is NOT on par with an actual sushi joint. Just so you know. The store has a good selection of clothing, sometimes great prices. Lots of other household items...probably the best selection for any one store in the Basin. Thei natural foods section isn't as good as Thunderbird's (or Nightfire's), but they have the best organic produce variety available in town. The pharmacy staff treat everyone like they are drug addicts. I am out of my medication which is not my fault but rather due to their tech stealing them. When I went to refill my Medicine, the so called pharmacist (on a power trip) said it was two days early. No shit, smart one!! Hence why I need a refill for my anti anxiety medicine. They are the most unprofessional, uncaring staff I've ever seen. Fred Meyer is my main store for groceries and most other items. I was so happy to move back to the west where Fred Meyer rules! I appreciate the fact they have customer incentives, from savings coupons to money off fuel. Customer service is great 99.9% of the time and lines move very quickly. From the garden center to the bakery, this store has most everything you need. Since the store is so popular, depending on the time of day, you can find some lines at the fuel island but staff tend to move folks through pretty quickly. Easy in and out of store parking lots and property is well maintained. read more

This is a huge store, certainly one of the largest Fred Meyers and great for a town of this size. This location is pretty nice since their remodel a few years ago as well. The gas discounts are nice, but the food prices are higher than many other places in town. That being said, I'd certainly rather shop here than at Walmart. The food and goods being sold are almost certainly of higher quality at Fred Meyer anyway. If you shop here after 7 p.m., the lines are way shorter, but it can be very busy before then. Dennis stepped right up, walked us quickly through the process of returning or battery, and got us on the road much faster than I thought we would.
