I would like to give the place a negative star. What a HORRIBLE experience !!! We pulled up and watched ONE of the two people we saw working help everyone around us - so got out and started the pump - mind you - it has been ok to self serve off and on here since Covid and our rash of fires. Instead of calmly coming to tell us it in fact on THIS day it is NOT ok - the person yanked out the nozzle and yelled at us not to do it again ! Then the attendant made their way over to us and started the transaction over. When it was done - Yanked the nozzle out of the car and slammed the gas door shut - the owner of the car looked at me and said under their breath " great customer service bi*** * the attendant then came running over and kicked the car door open and held it with their leg and the car owner had to muscle the door closed and while trying to escape more abuse the attendant slammed their fist on the top of the car. We spoke to the gas manager as well as the store manager - of course nothing was done - Im sorry - NO ONE has the right to put their hands on anyone's property regardless of what is said. Gas is cheap here. But in Oregon, self-service is illegal. I didn't realize it and started to pump my own gas. Later I saw the attendent so got back in my car. The kid had a rude look on his face and told me its illegal to pump my own gas. I went another time and had to wait several minutes after I parked right up to the pump because the attendant was busy. Whats up with this inefficient Oregon law? Why can't people pump their own gas? Would save folks time. That said, the gas is cheap here, and I'd come back for that. read more

When I was young they use to say..."If Freddie's doesn't have it, they don't make it anymore". Yes life before the internet. Fred Myers was the place to go. They have a huge selection of everything, and Name brand stuff. I got a great deal on a Nike Oregon Duck shirt. An Employee from the Sporting Goods/Gun Dept. walked with me halfway across the store to personally show me an item I could not find. We found everything we needed for a wonderful trip up to Crater Lake & The Rouge River (Ice chest, cold cuts, soda, ice, T-shirt, and the rest rooms were very clean). The gas station attendants suck! All these old guys were not just rude, but slo-o-o-o-o-o-o-w. And, seriously, three guys stood and watched one make change. Are you kidding me? It took me half an hour to get a quarter of a tank of gas-and, there was only one car ahead of me. They did not say thank you and I never got my receipt even though I asked for one twice. Except the Home department. I know they're working, but God knows where! The clothing and Electronics carry great quality. Alot of the same stuff you get at Macy's or Kohls, but alot cheaper. Their clearance sales can go to as low as %60 off the LAST MARKED PRICE! I got a sweater for $3! Its usually at %40 off though. Which is still a great deal! That clearance sale also goes for home merchandise. The lowest Electronics clearance goes is %30 off the last marked price which is very decent. Fred Meyer is also great for Foodies. They carry alot of great stuuf you can't find anywhere else. Ladyfingers, Artisanal and local cheeses, Asian seasonings, and a fabulous "nutrition" section. Meaning natural and organic foods and products. You can grind your own peanut and almond butter! ALWAYS check out their AD. They often have great coupons. %15 off Apparel(read the fine print, it excludes some things) and %10 off HOME, $3 off any CD or music DVD. %15 off DVDs or DVD sets. $1 for milk and GOOD bread! This store is like all the other Fred Meyer stores i've been too. A great store, but I'd like to mention the fact that they don't keep up on their bathroom cleaning. I had to go, and all the stalls had people with explosive diarrhea all on the walls and toilet. I suggest people wakeup and start eating healthier diets, and I feel sorry for the minimum wage employee who has to clean that up. A word of advice, check up on the cleanliness of the bathrooms more often. read more

This is the biggest Fred Meyer I have ever seen! But this review is for one of the employees in the electronics section named Derek. Last weekend I was riding my motorcycle from Vegas to Seattle. It was so foggy near Medford/ Central Point that I pulled off the road and into the Fred Meyer at about 11pm. By mistake I killed my battery. Long story short, Derek helped me push my motorcycle to get it started which was a huge help. It was so foggy I still couldn't find the Holiday Inn, so I had to pull into a gas station and ask for help. Bike died again. What do you know? Derek pulls up and offers to push my bike again! He ended up pushing me about 6 times. Awesome guy, and really really helpful. Hopefully he gets a raise because he is rad. Thanks man. read more

Love the grocery store, but we had a horrible experience with the bakery. First and foremost, I'm pretty sure the woman taking my order had no clue what she was doing. The other woman she asked to help was incredibly rude and unpleasant. She seemed bothered and inconvenienced the whole conversation. I pointed to some cupcakes in the display case to reference the icing color and her response was "well they're that shade of pink because they're old and the icing is faded." After speaking to her and thinking I have my incredibly simple order completed I leave. My husband goes to pick up the plain white cake and 25 cupcakes I ordered, and returns with a hot pink cake with pink sprinkles and white borders. I called to speak with the manager out of frustration for the poor service and wrong cake we received and she has still failed to call me back after 2 days. It's truly unfortunate that these are the employees that Fred Meyer chooses to hire. Again, I love the grocery store and haven't had a negative experience til this one with their bakery department. read more

This is a pretty good Fred Meyer. They were doing Some construction for a while, but they are close to done. Things are pretty easy to find(most of the time), staff are friendly, good fresh fish selection, good deals on wine and great organic section. One thing is there items are a bit too expensive so that is 1 negative. For certain organic speciality items we go elsewhere to get some of those items and sometimes we save $1.00 -2.00 per item. I wish they would lower their prices on that kind of stuff. They now have a bar near the fish counter. I think it is weird that they serve beer and wine. YES they serve beer and wine. I am not against alcohol and go to bars myself just not at the grocery store. Most people want to get in and out. But if they make some extra money from selling alcohol they could give customers better deals on groceries, but I'm sure a big corporation like that just wants to make money. read more

Even though they may be " Expensive" or they may have a complex parking lot this store is perfect. The other day, I had an incident at the gas station. The attendant helping me did his best to make sure that I got my 40 cents off a gallon, and he had swiped my card into the pump knowing I was going to pay cash. Meanwhile, he went into the Kiosk to figure out why my card wasn't discounting. Another attendant came up to my pump and started it, without even know what I wanted or needed. Low and behold even though the other attendant got to it in time, and stopped it at 4 cents, it still charged my card placing a 74.00 hold on it. 74.00 is a lot of money to hold in my opinion especially when you need to save you money. I was so frustrated I called the 800 number on the back of my card, and the first woman told me I wasn't going to be able to get my money back until March 11! I started getting frustrated and called 5 different numbers which DID not help me whatsoever. At this point I'm sure every manager thought I was crazy, and I refused to even call the 800 number because one lady left me on hold for 35 minutes, and the other woman told me I had to call them myself. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE in my opinion. So finally, I just went into the store after freaking out on the MOD of the North Fred Meyer and various others over the phone, a woman named Mary at the Customer Service desk had my issue solved in 10 minutes. Thanks to Mary & Rachel, I believe (mod) and they refunded my 74.00 immediately as it wasn't my fault. All in all they refunded my gas, gave me a GC and took off the hold of 74.00. This------ This store is my favorite store, and the staff may not have some bright attendants but they Management is Key which makes a very happy customer. read more

In regards to getting gas here: if you want to wait long enough to take a small nap then this is the place you want to get gas. On multiple occasions I've HAD to stop in here for gas, and half the time its so busy with idiots who can't drive, the other half of the time there are beyond lazy employees. I was one of 3 people at their decently sized fueling area. It took the guy 5-10 mins just to come up to my window. I ordered $10 in gas. Took another 10 ish mins because he was joking around with his buddies in their cashiering area. Fred meyer should really think about completely turning over their snail like and inept employees. This happens almost every time I've had to pull in here. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! read more

This place is great! They recently (last 2-3 years) completely remodeled the entire building so it's fresh and clean. The people working here provide great customer service and generally seem like they enjoy working for the company. If you like Target and dislike Walmart, you'll find Fred Meyers to be a great choice for shopping. This place is always busy, but they do a good job of making sure you don't wait very long. Also by using your rewards card you get 1% back via a voucher they send you quarterly. (More if you use their cc which I don't). Glad this place is here, only drawback is it's location on 62 & Poplar requires patience (to say the least) when going to and from the store. Still beats LA/OC traffic though. my review is based on two of four employees at this particular store! First,I LOVE Fred Meyer stores.why cant we hv them here in California? I had an issue with my camera. the only person I saw in the camera dept,was a young man working the register. Said to myself,,hmm,he's not gonna know what I'm talking about. Surprisingly, Trevor in the electronics dept, turned out to be a terrific help to me. I brought in an older camera,needed a memory card,explained to him I'd just purchased a brand new one at my local Costco & it failed to work,. he took the time to look online the 'specs' of my older camera & was able to find out why the newer memory card I'd purchased didnt work. Also,took the time to explain to me ,this older woman,what other options I might be able to use. all in all, I felt im to be very knowlegable. Now moving on to the seafood counter. Found another young man, dont remember his name,but he was a kick. he noticed I was wearing SF Giants gear & we sparked up a conversation.We purchased some shrimp & was surprised that there wasnt any cocktail sauce right there in front of the case. I told him,we were staying in an adjacent hotel & really didnt feel like making my own. so he kindly pointed out where to find the premade stuff. all in all ,two other employees that we interacted with were very friendly & helpful. First off let me say $15 dog beds?! Yes! but next time put them off where they actually go and not have them at the furniture section where they will sit for the next 2 weeks.. So i go in to fuel up and i pulled up infront of some massive rig. I stopped my car and saw a few of the clowns working there look over at me.. a good 10 minutes go by and some kid comes up to my car and tells me to pull up, to give the driver in the rig behind me some space to pull out he was next the rig for a good 7 minutes flirting.. This rig was pretty big, but this thing had enough space to pull out and turn around and turn around again.. until i see it was a girl maybe with a stack of books under her? Anyway a verbal acknowledgement before i waited would of been nice but instead i got that, and once i actually got helped i told the guy i wanted $25 regular and the dude disappeared for atleast 15 minutes maybe flirting with a different customer or jerking off his coworker? Then comes back saying "alright full tank that will be 45.72" well shit son i just wanted 25 in gas if i wanted a full tank it would of been my own vehicle... I also got to witness a truck peel off from the area without being helped, these dudes need to stop disappearing into wonderland every few minutes and actually help the customers.. My husband and I have been going to Fred Meyer pharmacy for about six years now. Today we had an issue of them shorting my husband seven pills. Now I know seven doesn't seem like much, however my husband has cancer, fibermyalga, arthritis, nerve damange, and hip displacement. So seven pills if an entire days worth. We filled a complaint against them with the corporate office. And they didn't do anything about it besides have the main pharmacist call me. And when he called me he had the balls to ask if my husband would like to me about seven pills so he could get more. To me that is not okay that is very crappy customer service. And I'm very upset with them my husband is a very honest person even if it hurts your feelings if it is the truth he will tell you. So I called the corporate office back to let them know how the pharmacist treated me and my husband. And she said she was going to fire the guy. We go back in again a month later and the guy is still working there and was rude as heck to my husband. I would recommend to everyone that is reading this and to everyone that is in situation like my husband do not get your RX filled at Fred Meyer pharmacy. They have lost all of it business and we spent about $700 a month at there store. read more

I haven't gone to the north gate Fred Meyer in quite a while but I do frequent the south gate Fred Meyer. I love to go here for any grocery shopping needs. Their paint department is a little iffy. I always have to ask them to put a dab of my paint on the swatch because a lot of the time it doesn't match and they have to try a couple to a few times. The check yourself out lanes are nice when only purchasing a couple items but the cashiers in this department are just about the worst at the store next to the gas station employees. Everytime I go through the check yourself out lanes, the cashiers are less then helpful. They seem to be more concerened about chatting with other employees than helping customers. I once saw a lady waiting to be helped by a cashier as the check out screen was telling her "an employee has been notified to assist you" just to watch the cashier girl chatting with another employee. The lady customer got irritated waiting and yelled at the cashier about how she figures she will just have to help herself. The cashier and the other employee just looked at the woman then exchanged dirty looks and continued talking. The gas station employees here are also very slow and lazy. Other than the check yourself out assistant employees and the gas station employees the rest of the store employees are always very pleasant and great help. prices are great and I can always find everything I have on my list for home needs and groceries. Over all This is one of my favorite places to go to for a grocerie store. read more
