Can we state since the remodel of the store, Fred Meyer Nampa has dipped to a minus 5 stars. I don't know how much the remodel cost, but you're not going to pass that on to my wallet. The prices have jumped up almost 100% on a lot of items. I can't believe how much Fred Meyer is charging for their groceries. It's honestly insane! I'm very good with numbers. I remember prices of almost everything I buy. We all noticed the massive jump in prices after COVID. Then Fred Meyer lowered their prices about a year and a half ago. Then they remodeled the Nampa store and BAM, their prices jumped up again and it wasn't a little jump, the prices jumped a mile! Compared to WINCO, Fred Meyer is screwing their Nampa shoppers by overcharging us on just about every item sold. On my most recent day grocery shopping, I spent $75 more while shopping at Fred Meyer compared to shopping at WINCO. That's BS in my book. It's time to put Fred Meyer to bed. I'm not going to throw my money away, especially at Fred Meyer. Kroger has destroyed a once great grocery store. From what I've heard, Kroger has destroyed every grocery store chain they've bought. I do a lot of pick up orders for my groceries. As well as in store shopping .Never a problem. But I decided to do a delivery order due to me being sick and the excessive cold weather. The first red flag was that it automatically added a tip for the driver. I dont tip before I get a service . The order was delivered by insta cart, One of the meat products I ordered was a mark down ready to expire. I dont buy my meat that way . One main item that I ordered was left totally off my order. I will NEVER do a delivery order again. I was kind of brushed off when I spoke to a manager there he blamed it all on insta cart. read more

I go to buy Fresca. I 12 pack was 9.99!!! This is madness. You could install an app and use a coupon for half price, but I decided to go support Winco instead. 9.99 is a gas station price. I find that Fred Meyer has gotten more expensive and lower quality over the years. You can find cheaper goods that were manufactured more recently (meaning Freddie's goods sit on shelves a long time) at almost any retailer of similar proportions. The service and selection is tremendous. Not all of the stores are as focused on the Customers as the Nampa operation is.

Would be one star excepting that the clerk who helped me in self checkout was actually helpful. Otherwise this place feels dirty, service is slow, checkout is horrible, and prices are high. I'm reviewing the pharmacy only at this time. I am only giving 3 stars because so far every time I come by to pick up a prescription there is only one person handling the line, and every person in line takes a very long time to be processed through. It's not clear to me if the staff is slow to work, or the computer is slow to process, or it is difficult to find prescriptions that have been waiting to be picked up... but my goodness HIRE MORE PEOPLE! I have a bad back and standing in line that is moving at a molasses pace is extremely painful. It makes me want to consider changing pharmacies... hey, what a great idea! Except there is one hiccup. I really like the pharmacist. I always get the same one.. blonde shoulder length hair, I think her name is Kristen... she is incredibly knowledgeable. Every question I've ever had has been answered in detail . She is willing to go above and beyond in helping sort strange problems with my annoying insurance. I'd give her 5 stars if I could rate her separately. Unfortunately Fred Meyer needs to up their game to earn more stars first. read more

The store management has elected not to adopt practices to protect in-store shoppers by allowing mask-intolerant shoppers free reign inside the store and twice in the past month there have been no cart wipes available at the door. When the store posted that masks were required in the store, I was relieved. Then I realized that it was just lipservice and each week I see more and more shoppers blatantly refusing to do as "required"; putting all the rest of us at risk. Instead of escorting these folks out of the store to protect the rest of us, they ask if they "found everything ok". REALLY?? Won't be shopping here anymore. Even if I shop online and pick up the order, how do I know which item has been contaminated by thoughtless shoppers before it was put in my online order? read more

There's a lot that I can say for only being employed there for only one year but I'll keep it about two certain people. Corey Robson and Trisha Brotzman. I find it comedic how these two horrible people do business at Fred Meyer Nampa. You think you have a voice until you use it then next thing you know, you're blacklisted. Apparently business is not done in their fancy little upstairs offices when determining who they continue to employ at Fred Meyer Nampa. Which is funny and nonsensical because another tact that they use is making you wait a full 7 days to terminate you when they probably already know your fate by day 3. This is where I also want to mention Timothy Boyd, my home/electronics manager, who called me Sunday March 24th to pretty much tell me to stay home and wait to get fired. Originally on Friday March 22nd, both Corey Robson and Timothy Boyd agreed that I'd be back for my next shift, which was 12:00am Monday morning, 8 hours before Timothy Boyd calls me. I'd also like to include that Timothy Boyd was also not present when I showed up on Friday March 29th at Fred Meyer Nampa to be terminated. The process that these people implore just to fire you is comedic, nonsensical, and time wasting. And the way they approach you while they're firing you, they try so hard in their extremely fake business tone to make you believe that they "feel horrible" and it's "tragic" what happened. It was just pure comedy how these two depressing individuals fired me. One person says something then the next person repeats what the last person says, it's just sad that these are the people in charge of Fred Meyer and their Human Resources department. This is also a reminder that you can break your back for a company, learn several things that make you useful to said company, show up on time, accept extra hours, but all of that immediately goes out the window once you're stuck in an office with those two individuals. These two individuals will look after Fred Meyer's back before ever defending you and they'll try so hard to make you believe that they got your back just to cast you aside. Just another heads up, the people that sit in those upstairs offices at Fred Meyer Nampa do not care about you or however you've contributed to the store, if they want gone, youll be gone. They say that "they don't make the decisions" but this also means that you must not also have a voice because supposedly you let people who sit above you decide my fate, and here you are saying how much you appreciate me and the work I've done but "that's how it's done" If you really did care then maybe you could've used your voice to defend an employee you supposedly care about but no, you went along, like the followers you are. Bottom line, these people do not care about you once you mess up, even if it's once, even if its the first time you're being disciplined, once you end up in their office, they basically wont hesitate to let you go if given that option. Timothy Boyd could've used his voice and came to my defense if i was so important to him but nope. My department manager, not being present while I'm fired, is a clear showing that this guy didn't care about me, he just cared that I did everything he asked of me. I'm rating the ability to pay bills at the customer service desk such as the Idaho Power or Intermountain Gas bills. 1) longest open hours for customer svc desk: same as the rest of the store (although she said they shut down the fee services such as western union at 10:45 so go with enough time to complete bill payment before 10:45 pm). 2) I can write a check to Intermountain Gas or Idaho Power. Albertsons only accepts cash or debit card payments for bill payments. Walmart was the same I think and I think they charged for the service. 3) I was just told on the phone there's no fee for those services. The rest of the store would get a 2 for prices and a 3-4 for produce. I don't shop there unless something specific is on sale. It seems clean and well-organized. Occasionally I go to their gas station for gasoline. read more

I overheard them talking about how this is the 3rd and 4th one they bought and how much they are reselling for. I love this Fred Meyer. All the employees are very friendly which is wonderful since my 6 year old loves to talk to everyone. It's nice that even though they are working and busy they will engage in conversation with him rather than blow him off or just ignore him. They are always helpful. We mostly do pick up since COVID19 and it has been a great experience. It's super easy to order online, the pick up process is quick and easy, and again they take the time to engage with family. There is one gal there that we always hope is working when we go because she's just awesome! read more

My wife and I are in Idaho while closing out the estate of her mother. We have been getting prescriptions filled with an Alaska prescription paper for the last 5 months. Today, the new little assistant decided they were not going to fill it and said it wasn't a valid prescription as she rolled her eyes. It is one thing to have a blanket policy, but they could have called the doctors office to verify the prescription and not been such a nasty little person. Absolutely one of my favorite grocers I've ever been to. They have just about everything I've ever gone in looking for. The store is immaculate and very easy to maneuver. The staff are always smiling like they enjoy there jobs which is always nice to see. The are also very kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. The only reason I go there it is on my way home from work now I drive to win co the store is expensive,.,the deli haven't bought there in over a year. The food looks like a pig troft never changes the trays, there produce is always rotten toooooo high priced. Who doesn't love Freddy's? I've been coming here most of my life (used to call it Fred Myrons, yeah I was cutie!), well at least when visiting areas serviced by Fred Meyer. They're a notch above Wal-Mart for sure and seem to run a much cleaner ship with friendlier employees too. This location had been remodeled and have some pretty great employees at the ready to help you. I came here a couple of times with my grandma and they seemed to know her so that indicates to me how often she's there. They hold an Azalea event in April and my grandma jumped on that as well as getting my grandpa's favorite crossword puzzles (I think he goes through a few books a month or so, he's the man!). I also sauntered in there for some flip flops (good price) and was hoping to nab some Every Man Jack body & haircare products but sadly they don't carry my "flavor" (Signature Mint). When we first started with the Fred Meyer pharmacy in Nampa they were very good and attentive, since Shopko nd others closed they have gotten careless, inattentive and rude. It now takes this pharmacy days to fill a prescription. When we had Walgreens request all of my 4 prescriptions be transferred to them from Fred Meyer, Fred Meyer transferred 2 prescriptions to Walmart not Walgreens and then they state they send it to the phone number that was given to them I call BS. My wife asked for a specific prescription written by a specific doctor be transferred and they transferred the wrong prescription and they have also filled the wrong prescription in the past on this medication. IF you have had issues with this pharmacy report them to the Idaho board of pharmacy, this is the only way things will change. read more

I've been shopping at FM for years but only recently started using their pharmacy because the nearby Shopko store and pharmacy closed. My wife's doctor's office called in an order over 2 1/2 hours ago. When we arrived they hadn't started filling it so we were told it will be ready in 15-20 minutes. Yes, I'm comparing this outfit to one that was more efficient. Shopko would have filled it already and it would be ready when we arrived. Maybe my attitude has been tainted since my last visit when I was listening to two pharmacy techs gossip about a coworker they both didn't like. They weren't trying to be discreet about their conversation since I was in view of them and about 8 feet away. Neither of them were doing any work while they gossiped. While we sit here waiting (and wondering if we have to get back in line) an attentive tech asked us if we'd been helped yet. Kudos to her. She salvaged a 2-star from a 1-star. Went in to fred meyer today., as usual I bring in my own bag. After the transaction, the clerk said because of the corona virus you need to bag your own groceries. Why didn't she hand me a few plastic bags to bag them? Why doesn't the clerks use sanitizer after each customer and the keypad and shelf by the keypad is never cleaned after each customer. The FM employee refused to help me get change for a $100 bill at the express check-out. Heavy-set lady with a crew cut who works the express check out in the am hours. Overall, I like shopping at Fred Meyer, however, I find this location puzzling. The staff is friendly and courteous, but their policies do not seem consistent with their other stores. Last weekend was one of several times recently that either the shelves were not stocked with the item I needed or they were out of sales items. For example, they are one of the few stores in the area that carry whole Foster Farms chickens but I never find them in stock here. On this last visit, I arrived at the checkout stand and asked for a few rain checks for the things they were out of. The checker had none and had to call the manager. Minutes later the manager shows up with just two slips in hand and makes us wait while they discuss the issue. Then, the manager suggests "substitutes" for some items. Again, we wait until someone arrives with the items. One customer behind us asked if he should move to another checkout line. The manager didn't reply. What a waste of time for all of us. So here are a few ideas: stock your shelves and stop offering sales items that you are reluctant to stock. read more

We have been shopping at Fred Meyer (Nampa) for about 29 years. This was a very pleasant store to go to. Unfortunately, it has changed a lot with uncaring, almost rude employees. This goes across the board from the grocery to the pharmacy. I have reported several incidents to their corporate office who did not even take the time to respond. Yesterday, we went to Fred Meyer pharmacist to try filling a prescription for our very sick cat. Unfortunately the veterinarian had forgotten to sign the prescription. The staff at Fred Meyer Pharmacy was unpleasant and rude, and did not offer any help or suggestion. We went to Albertsons (Greenhurst). The employee explain the issue but went above and beyond, by offering to contact the veterinarian first thing Monday morning. We felt that she was genuinely concerned and wanted to help. We plan or leaving Fred Meyer pharmacy and overall, on using this store as little as possible. read more

FM Jewelers is located just inside the door of the Fred Meyer on 2nd Avenue. Every time I've gone in it is overrun with people and there is no numbering system so you wait and hope that everyone is on the honor system about their turn in line, which they are not. Just left there after being passed up by the associate who I was standing right next to. She didn't say one word to me but went to the other end of the store and asked who was next. Of course the person who was right in front of her said he was. Before I left I told them that they should put a numbered system in place. Either that or the associates need to pay more attention to who is waiting for help. I've been in before and they were nice enough but never again. I needed to get a ring repaired and my finger sized but I will never do business with them after this. Take your business to a local jeweler who can give you personalized attention instead of ignoring you. read more

I tried to transfer my RX from one Fred Meyer in Portland to another Fred Meyer in Idaho, so I called the Idaho store, the technician I spoke to (female under 30 years old) was audibly yawning and not interested in helping me at all, but this was understandable as she had a background of rattling pills and ringing phones so their unit was no doubt understaffed and overworked. She suggested I go online and try to change my profile, but when that was unsuccessful and I called the national helpline, again the technician (also female and under 30) was actually rude and said I had to physically go into the new location and when I told her it was 50 miles away, she said there was nothing more she could do and fake-cheerily wished me a good day and hung up on me. Sooo, I transferred my RX to Walgreens, easy peasy, Sorry Freddies you get no more of my RX business, bye bye thousands of dollars a year. read more
