The sites are extremely spacious and well set up as the owner is also a coach owner. The grounds are immaculate and they host music evert Tuesday night that includes catered food from local vendors. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. During our stay we went to a small town festival and a local county fair. The owners are continually working on improvements on this new campground. If you are traveling through the Rice Lake area this is definitely a resort to stay at. You are not treated as a customer at this resort but truly as a guest. We will definitely be back.

The night before it was me and one other camper in 10 sites. We have 10 walk in tent sites. You need a reservation. It's $15 a night for up to six people per campsite. There's a picnic table in a fire at each site. There are pit toilets. There is no electricity anywhere in the park including no lights even in the parking lot. It's awesome. Great to see the night sky. On the east side of the park there is a picnic pavilion and several picnic tables with a charcoal grill On rainbow lake. Straight Lake has a boat access so does rainbow lake, but you have to carry the boat from the parking lot. Non-motorized boats only Like canoes and kayaks. Several miles of singletrack hiking trails as well as the Ice Age national scenic Trail which transects the park. I had trouble finding firewood in the area so I could not have a campfire. You're supposed to bring it in from only 10 miles away and the gas station in Frederick and Luck did not have any and I didn't see any roadside stand selling wood. If you want tranquility this is your place

It has 4 spaces for RV's, and a handful more for tents on the hillsides, including one hike-in tent site. Electricity is available at every site except for the walk-in site, 4 sites have pressurized water at the site, with a pump/well building near the bathrooms with a spigot on the outside wall for filling water containers. It has pit toilets at the entrance. Every spot has a picnic table and fire ring and space to park 1-2 vehicles at the spot (except the walk-in site). It's pretty shaded, especially the tent sites, and quiet. You can also swim in the lake/Flowage, but be aware of the buoys near the small dam. Price is $18 for non-electric use and $23 for electric hook-ups. Reservations are by first come, first serve only.

The cabins had all the necessary things you could ask for: fridge, kitchen items, bathroom and bedding. This made our long weekend super easy! They do have a nice pet area to the side of the main beach area that is big enough for maybe 3 or so families. it was nice that the pet area still had a sandy area for smaller dogs to gradually walk into. Overall a nice smaller state park to visit!

We ended up hiking around 6 miles of the park. Tried our hand at fishing off the fishing pier but no luck, lots of algae bloom. The lake was a lot clearer but we didn't have a boat or canoe. The bathrooms were super clean and updated. Showers are free and well lit. Will definitely be back!

She was in a bad mood for some reason. She shouldn't show her mood in the front of the house. We were visiting from New Glarus. Probably won't be going back.
