She's a rockstar in her field with credentials from MIT, UVA and La Crosse, but she is so warm, kind, caring and patient in her communication that you don't feel intimated that she's a leading innovator in the International Allergy community. We are so blessed to have her in Charlotte! Prior to working with her our family traveled to UNC for a food allergy clinical trial and right at the heartbreaking moment we learned that our son spent 3 years on placebo, Dr Schroeder brought a leading SLIT program to Charlotte! We have family that travel in from around the country to work with her now, but are grateful she's right up the street for us!

Dr. Schroeder provides reasonable and manageable treatments. She also explains latest research, and the "why" behind treatments. She takes time to answer questions. We are so pleased with the progress we've seen since first seeing Dr. Schroeder several years ago. If you are feeling hesitant about how "new" the clinic may seem, be assured that Dr. Schroeder is extremely intelligent, experienced, and keeps up with research and studies. She also has the sweetest bedside manner. We travel across the country to see Dr. S and James at Allergenuity. It's 100% worth it!

I came here based on a referral from our pediatrician for my son…read more I read the reviews before going and prepared myself for the worst. When we arrived, the facility was clean, easy to find within the building, and everyone I spoke to was kind and helpful. We were called back to see Dr. Roberts in a timely manner and I was ready for what I shared to be belittled, based off the reviews. However, what Dr. Roberts said made sense to me, and recommended we not need the allergy patch test as we had requested. He was kind to my son and answered all my questions. I have no problem going back.

I took my daughter for a sun allergy (was referred) and first he was like "we'll see if we want to do this test or not" then he was "we don't do those tests here. She'll have to go to a different center for that" WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THAT OVER THE PHONE WHEN WE WERE REFERRED FOR THIS SPECIFIC ALLERGY?!" They wanted to do more prick tests that we didn't come here for. She'd gotten those tests twice already. We don't have infinite money to spend on stupid repeat tests. I know what she's allergic to but I wanted to see if she had a specific sun allergy. And guess what... Antihistamines don't work on certain sun allergies. And they haven't worked for my daughters rash at all in the 3 years she's been taking them! Then he prescribed more allergy medication that makes her tired but wants her to take 4 of them daily? No.

First of all, I made my appointment yesterday for today, was able to get an 8am without issue. Check-in was easy and they started with vitals and basic medical history questions. Dr. Herring came in and got some more in depth insight into my 27 year battle with allergies and ordered an allergy test to determine the severity. The test itself was simple enough, you just have to lay on your stomach while a nurse nicks the skin with allergen samples. Think of someone scratching a small amount of skin with a toothpick. After 15 minutes of mild itchiness, we had some answers. There were a dozen or so "round two" samples that the Dr. ordered to check some specifics. These were done with needles to get under the skin, but painless for the most part. Turns out, I'm allergic to damn near everything! Dr. Richard prescribed a couple of medicines and a few samples. They seem to be already helping. Immunotherapy is an option that I'm going to look into soon and I know that I'm in good hands here. Thanks to Dr. Herring and RN Robin for making me feel 1000% better!
