She was bait and switched about the promise to not charge her a cancellation fee and then she was reminded of an old policy from 2011. Trouble is the document from 2011 mentioned 30 dollar fee when they have been trying to collect 50 For her cancellation. They are now calling it a copay when she doesn't even have any copay. This place is ran like a sweat shop at this point and they do not care about emergencies, if you can't show up you're forced to pay. My aunt is the caregiver to her sick husband who's on dialysis you would think that 911 would be sufficient it's not!! Here is how they had her pour her hard working heart out only to do nothing so stay away from this dentist trap !! "I have been a patient of yours longer than the current owners have been around and employees. I pay every cost that's quoted to me. My life changed in 2017 and I've been my husband caregiver since then, I am also the head of our household. I called to reschedule my appointment because he was not feeling well which I eventually took him to the emergency room. I asked for the $50.00 cancellation fee to be forgiven and was given the reason I I had one in 2020. I am very heartbroken and sad that your manager would not allow it. When she quoted what I owed without telling me the cost included the fee. I felt she was trying to slip it in . I didn't know until I asked to speak to the manager she ten acknowledge she was the manager. Why didn't she tell me upfront and discuss it with me instead of adding it in with the other charge? During the conversation, I mentioned a concern regarding the practice's response to a one-star review I had seen online. I found the response from the provider unprofessional, as it seemed to attack the patient rather than address the issue constructively. I offered a suggestion, stating that it would be more appropriate for them to edit the response to reflect professionalism, as this would deter fewer potential patients. Instead of appreciating the feedback, the front desk receptionist immediately suggested that I cancel my appointment if I didn't agree with their approach. I was taken aback by such a dismissive and unprofessional reaction. Needless to say, I canceled my appointment. A business unwilling to accept constructive criticism--especially from one provider to another--says a lot about their overall approach to patient care. The ability to grow and improve comes from learning to receive and apply feedback, something this practice clearly lacks. Given this experience and the number of negative reviews, I cannot recommend this dental office. I highly suggest reading *The New Gold Standard* by Joseph Michelli to better understand and implement customer service principles, which could benefit the team immensely. You can deny my experience however you want but the recorded call begs to differ.

They also offer early AM appointments which was a major plus. From my initial visit to several other more complex procedures, Dr. Tremont was extremely knowledgable and demonstrated great care. He even followed up later the next day. The entire staff is phenomenal. Stephanie is a wonderful hygienist. Super personable and kind! Ann at the front desk knows my preferred appointment times and always looks out for me if there's an opening. Seems like the word is out in how great these folks are because every time I go, they have an office full. Yet still, they find the time and attention to take excellent care of me. Thank you all. I'm disappointed with my experience regarding billing transparency at this office…read more Before treatment, I was given an estimate showing that insurance would cover a portion of the procedure. The office verified my insurance benefits, but no one mentioned that my plan had a 12-month waiting period -- something previous dental offices have specifically warned me about in the past. I understand that patients are ultimately responsible for knowing their insurance coverage, but if an office is verifying benefits and providing estimates, I believe important limitations like waiting periods should at least be discussed or flagged as a possibility. After the procedure, I received only a text message saying I owed significantly more because insurance covered nothing. I also learned there were additional X-ray charges that had never been discussed with me beforehand or included in the estimate. When I called for clarification, I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously, and the explanation I received was mostly that they were "honoring the contracted rate" even though insurance denied the claim. The dental work itself was fine, but the lack of clear communication about costs and coverage left me frustrated enough that I won't be returning.

As I don't currently have outside dental insurance, I signed up for their monthly in-house plan to cover my twice annual cleanings. I made sure to ask when I signed up if there was any long-term commitment, and they assured me that there wasn't and I would be able to cancel at any time without penalty. When the monthly price of the plan increased (I also moved away from Uptown-so the location was no longer convenient), I asked to cancel my plan, and was told that I owe $400 for my last basic cleaning, an amount that I never in a million years would have agreed to. They are essentially charging me an outrageous penalty to cancel my monthly plan. Communication and transparency are vital at any dentist, so I'd go elsewhere.

I've been very pleased with the dental work delivered by this practice but am unbelievably…read moredisappointed with the office billing personnel. On all of my visits, they require the patient to pay their higher Usual and Customary Fees as opposed to their contractually obligated in-network PPO fees. Refunds are made down the line to square the account but in the interim, the patient has forked over significantly higher dollar amounts. Why should the patients serve as their bank? I pushed back on this practice and was met with arrogance, smugness and general ugliness. The billing personnel clearly did not display any interest in understanding how the in-network PPO reimbursement worked. They even threatened to withhold treatment until I acquiesced to their higher fee payment request. It's a shameful way to treat patients and a black eye for such talented dentists and hygienists.
