Cemil and Henry took very good care of us and setting up the job was easy. A few notes about the kind of work asked for. We needed to replace tub, tile and fix plaster damage on the first floor that was directly under a hole in the old tub. Kitchen and Bath Shop solved these issues and the work was wonderful. The workers gave good expectations on when they would arrive on site. They were very respectful and friendly. They took very good care to protect my home from scuffs. There were maybe two small places where grout/plaster ended up in an unexpected place (near my bathroom doorknob and a small splat on my toilet bowl) however I probably just need a putty knife to sand down remove that. No remodel goes perfectly, there was a snafu with the supplier that ended up with us installing a different color accent tile than originally planned. There was also a delay in getting tile, but in the days of Covid, we were prepared for that. However, the company gave us a discount and did not charge for the plaster repair, which more than made up for the alteration. The more I look at the finished product, the more I am happier with the result. Work took seven days to complete, due to a delay in receiving tile. Cemil did mention that it could be up to two weeks to finish the job, so he set realistic expectations. The workers were very professional. And my family can shower like we live in a hotel.

Hamilton's Unlimited was here before the plumbers and had my house back to normal in less than four…read moredays - including new drywall and paint. On a Sunday evening, a huge clog backed up the drain for both of my 2nd Floor bathrooms and the water ran down into my 1st Floor ceiling. I got the water turned off and called the plumber and Kevin at Hamilton's Unlimited. Since I also have a Powder Room on the 1st Floor, I told them both it can wait until Monday morning. Early the next morning the plumber called to say they were running ahead of schedule and asked if they move me up. Of course, I told them yes. By the time the plumbers got here (early), Hamilton's Unlimited had already removed all of the wet ceiling, disinfected the framing, set up fans and a dehumidifier, and hauled away the debris. As a bonus, having the ceiling open like that helped the plumbers determine where the clog was which saved me even more time and money. That afternoon, after everyone had left, I was sure I'd be dealing with this for a week or more. However, over the next 48-hours, Hamilton's Unlimited kept in contact with me, even stopping by, to ensure that the drying process was progressing to their liking. By Thursday afternoon - less than four days after the leak - they had installed all new drywall, sanded, and fresh paint on the entire ceiling and one wall. Done. A…read morecontractor they recommended did the soaking tub demolition, addition of a half-wall, and then installation of no-step walk-in doorless tile shower and new bathroom floor. James understood my priorities and limited budget, we settled on a few color combinations and design elements, then I took home sample tiles to see how they looked in the sunlit room throughout the day. After a month to let the decisions settle, the contractor was setup and the materials ordered. Very important: the contractor worked directly with Mid-Atlantic, I never had to be in the middle to relay installation assistance or anything ever (including ordering a few extra tiles when we had to add a seat to the design after finding in demolition that under the tub the stairway ceiling encroached into the bathroom floor space.) All materials were politely delivered on time, James was always available for my appointments, he worked seamlessly through the COVID shutdown, and they even accepted returns of a few unused pieces to get them out of my garage. Highly recommend, there were way too many choices and gotchas to approach the design on my own. Working with a professional was the way for me. Recommended!

I have minor complaints, but at the end of the day he handled a large project for us in a timely…read moremanner. He and his crew were kind and accommodating. His team handled (1) laying radiant heat coils, (2) applying self-leveling compound both to solve leveling issues and to secure the radiant heat, (3) floating Rigid Core Vinyl Planks, (4) adding new baseboards, (5) running new circuits for each heated area, and (6) drywall repair. I'm grateful for their renovation efforts. Before I go into minor quibbles, I'll reiterate that the job was done and I'm happy with it. I can't wait to use his team for future projects once the funds are replenished. This review is only to inform his great crew on ways to improve minor details. They range from "Aesthetic" to "Technical" critiques. (1) Layout (Aesthetic). The lengths of starting planks were staggered in a clear 2-step pattern. It reduces the "natural" look of things; See the attached image to (2) Polish (Aesthetic). Shims for baseboards weren't cleaned off with utility knives or anything so there's lots of little spots with wood poking out from behind the baseboard. I know these 70 year old walls were probably a challenge to baseboard, so it's all good. There were also several spots on the walls and doors that got damaged during the installation. It's no biggy though, since we just moved in and the basement was very "DIY" from the previous owner and poorly done anyway. (3) Patterns (Aesthetic). Normally when boards are laid out from several boxes, you mix and match from the boxes so you get more variety of patterns. In the implementation in my home, there are several areas where identical boards are right next to one another so it looks less "natural" (4) "Playing it Safe" (Technical). All technical guidelines of the radiant heating system we used warned of testing the current and functionality before laying down compound over it since there's no turning back once that's been done. This test wasn't done - it ended up fine, and everything worked, but had any of the product been found to be faulty the final day of installation when they plugged it all in, there'd be some major problems. Section 2.4 of the following manual: https://hw.menardc.com/main/items/media/EASYH001/Install_Instruct/DFTInstructions.pdf I should note that maybe there was a miscommunication and these tests were actually done, but from conversations I think they weren't. (5) Plank Minimum Widths (Technical). Typically planks have minimum widths they are permitted to be for stability. To plan for these minimums, you often place planks from the center of the room in both directions to find out where the widths are too short and you compensate by shifting things left or right. There are locations in the installation where these minimums were exceeded, but they were covered by the baseboards so it's probably fine. (5) Leveling Compound (Aesthetic). There ended up being some spots where it's off-level enough that I get some significant flex to the boards as I walk over them. It makes me a bit nervous that they'll pop in years to come, but it should be fine. I should note that there ended up being way more leveling compound required than initially expected, so I understand that there are some variations just because how much needed to be laid. But enough of the negatives, let's chat about what went right: (1) During this difficult time, they were able to come out and get me ready to work from home in less than a week. (2) They were appreciative of the situation, especially with my wife's hospital profession, and took necessary precautions to insulate their work area from the rest of the house. (3) They were flexible to meet some requests of mine during the work, such as repairing drywall, installing thresholds, and making sure the planks were oriented in a certain direction. (4) They were willing to work even though the area was littered with furniture and boxes from our recent move in. They handled all of my grandmother's furniture with care, and made sure it was all safe as they worked. (5) They were friendly, kind, and responsive at all times. Victor's the classic contractor / handyman who's seen it all. (6) They rolled with the punches as the unexpected arose: baseboards, self-leveling compound, and square footage all didn't match original expectations and they were able to quickly pivot and make sure everything was done on time. (7) They alerted me of problems right when they happened. My sump pump failed and they were the first to let me know! We managed to resolve the problem before any damage was done. In other words, they were vigilant and attentive to my home as they worked. (8) Their invoices were reasonable, and their financing was generous.

What we wanted was a beautiful wood stain deck and what we got was an ugly black deck. He did not sand it therefor ruining the wood that we already had down. They used spray paint which also ruined the siding of my house, my gutters and there is paint all over the concrete. One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. Beware of this company
