Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.

The have rope for those traveling in cars (to tie down), they can clip the bottom with a fresh cut and drill a hole. They have a Teepee with a fire pit and smores sticks. Grab your s'mores kit and hangout. The Christmas music playing throughout, just makes it so much cozier. The slides and animals were my son's favorite. I spied several parents climbing the festive structures and and showing the crowd how a slide is supposed to be handled. Trains, targets, backcountry music station, slides, tractors, maze, petting zoo and more. You will find Fizz drinks and snacks in a custom built shop made from and antique horse trailer that now glows. And don't forget pumpkins of all sizes and varieties and gourds. And if you are looking for other Gordos goods they have it for you. If you are lucky, they may have some cute puppies for sale, ready to be cuddled.

The cinnamon crumble donut had great flavor, sweet and moist! We warmed up the pumpkin cinnamon roll when we got home and it was rich in flavor. You get a subtle pumpkin flavor, but it was so delectable. The sourdough garlic knots were soft on the inside and had a nice garlic flavor, we warmed it up when we got home and paired it with some marinara and it was amazing! Definitely recommend going! Rented this event space and upon arrival were surprised with no A/C. No prior notification it was…read morebroke. The only reason we rented that particular building was because it had A/C when we visited. They put in industrial evaporative coolers which the noise level was overwhelming along with the humidity. After we requested a partial refund they immediately said the A/C was not broken. We have 40 guests who would say otherwise along with the fact their Venue Coordinator who delivered the bad news. Just a side note their 3 stall bathroom is actually a 3 Station Portable Restroom Trailer.

They'll "limb it up" for you, to get just the right fit, and then load it in your truck. They throw in the trimmed boughs to take home and use. Smells so good!

We purchased three Weeping…read moreWhite Spruce trees at over $500 each in April and a landscaping company that actually does business with Country Gardens planted them for us, and within 6 weeks, two of the trees were dying. Were they left over from last year? They were properly irrigated, along with the other new plants that are still thriving. We went to Country Gardens and complained and they refused to do anything about it, because we did not have them plant the trees. We know we properly took care of these trees and they do not stand behind their products and we will not do business with them again.

They have shows every hour in the evenings on MWF and we got to see their shows and they were really fun. Raves for kids! Very loud, so if you or your kids are sensitive to noise I would recommend ear plugs. The thriller park has the show, performers, a corn maze, another maze type thing, and a foam pit and bouncy houses. The pumpkin patch has multiple pumpkin patches, TONS of pumpkins, and food trucks, ice cream, paintball (costs extra) and some shopping. Plenty of space, it never really felt overcrowded at all. Very aesthetic and great for taking pictures. Will definitely be adding this to our yearly traditions, this place is so much fun! The pumpkin patch was really cool if you just did that.
