So I wanted a local electrician to come out to figure it out and fix. I wanted an actual local electrician not some company 2 hours away that pops up at the top of the list just because they want to start providing "service" in the area. (Found that out when trying to find a "local" deck builder a few years ago via Yelp). Anyhow, I called Ed, explained the problem, he had me check a few things, and pretty much identified the problem over the phone. He said he was on another job at the moment and would get back to me later in the day. Unlike many of the other services I've reached out to on Yelp lately, he actually followed through and came by late afternoon. Within about 10 to 15 minutes he found a short in an outlet and fixed the problem. I will not hesitate to contact Ed again for all my electrical needs! They suggested I call one of their Nest Pros to assist. I called several HVAC and electricians before I struck gold with these guys. I called on Friday afternoon and Ray was on the scene first thing Monday morning. He sorted out the wiring and had the stats set up in no time. All the while, Ray was super professional and patiently answered my questions. Thumbs way up from me. BTW, Nest also agreed to reimburse me for the service call because they weren't able to help me by email or phone (I didn't ask, they offered). Let's see, I also got an instant $100 rebate from Nest on the stats and rebates from my energy supplier totaling $200 for the two units I bought. Bottom line: $100 instead of $250 for each stat. The energy rebates go until Dec. 31st, on Nest and other stats.

We called Sinclair and made an appointment for 9 days out - his earliest availability. Trusting Sinclair, we didn't call anyone else - to our later dismay. The day before the appointment we texted to confirm. He didn't respond. The next day at the appointed time, he failed to appear and he failed to respond to a phone call asking if he intended to come as promised. It was raining but, at a minimum, a responsible professional would have responded to one of the two attempts to contact him and rescheduled. Failing to do so shows a gross disregard for a customer's time and is an irresponsible business practice. It is beyond our comprehension how this person could have earned 5-star ratings as this can't be the first time he has acted so disrespectfully.
