Birthday girl smeared a little of the butterfly while playing but still beautiful!

Fred did an amazing job at my daughters 3rd birthday party. He was early, prepared, respectful and a great time! We will absolutely use his services again along with the face painter. Everyone in our party raved about their work and everyone went home with beautiful painted faces, amazing balloons and Fred's business card! Every request the children made for balloons or painting design was requested. Thank you Fred!

I got married in September and hired Loli for both my bridal henna and our Haldi + Henna event…read moreduring wedding weekend and I'm so grateful I did. She came on-site a few of days before the celebrations to do my bridal henna, along with designs for my mom, my friend, and small designs for my husband and dad. She took so much care with every detail and never rushed, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special. My bridal designs came out absolutely stunning -- intricate, elegant, and exactly what I hoped for. Loli uses natural henna and she provided clear after-care instructions. The stain developed over the next couple of days into a very deep color that everyone kept complimenting! (Pro tip: get your henna done a few days early for the darkest stain.) One thing I really appreciated is how thoughtful she was even after she finished -- she stayed and took photos of all our henna, which was so sweet and gave us such special memories to look back on. We also hired Loli for our Haldi + Henna event so our guests could get small designs. She coordinated and brought additional artists, and they were all punctual, friendly, and incredibly talented. Our guests loved their designs. Loli is communicative, organized, and truly an expert at her craft; she's also a great person to chat with! I highly, highly recommend her!

She was really helpful in figuring out the design details and she was a joy to work with. She can do anything!! I asked for an intricate dragon and phoenix design to represent my Chinese side of the family and she didn't even flinch at the detailed pictures I sent as an example. She is very talented, but also fast. I can't believe how efficient she is with time. Even though she is quick, the quality of her work does not suffer. Everyone loved their henna and was so impressed!

For the last 20 years of my life, I've been a habitual eyebrow wax type of girl. I started getting my brows waxed in the back of nail salon, then upgraded to a real aesthetician. And now that I've tried KD threading, I don't think I could ever go back. Here's some things you may want to know from a first timer like myself... 1) Did it hurt? Yes. But the pain is tolerable and worth the final result! 2) How long did it take? I let my brows grow out for nearly 6 weeks before I came to my threading appointment. The appointment took MAYBE 15 minutes... and my brows came out in the best shape they've ever been. 3) Cost? On this visit, I paid $20 for the brow threading and and extra $10 for a roller tube of castor oil to promote healthy hair growth plus a 20% tip because she deserved it--my brows truly still look amazing and I'm already almost 3 weeks out from my appointment. I highly recommend giving KD Threading a shot if you are in the business of brows and want to step away from traditional waxing! The vibe is definitely upscale yet chill and 100% worth the trip.

After she finished, I noticed they were threaded extremely thin which was not something I asked for. Toward the end of my second visit, she again mentioned that my brows were "different" and asked if I had been plucking them (I had not). I thought that was a strange thing to say after I felt her go to town on my brows. When I looked in the mirror, it became immediately clear why she was saying that. My eyebrows were completely uneven, different shapes, and about one-third of one eyebrow had been threaded off entirely. What was most upsetting was the lack of accountability. There was no acknowledgment of the mistake, no apology, and instead it felt like she preemptively tried to feed me negative comments about my brows to cover up the hack job.

Henna By Megha - Loving my henna design

With so many…read moreoptions around the market, we saw everyone from local people who do it for fun to professionals with a shop and all. Honestly our goal was to get the best "photos" for sharing on social media. We decided to give a try to Henna in SF. We live in Santa Clara and are usually busy in weekdays, but she agreed to come to us. One thing I really found amazing was the dedication with which Megha was engrossed in doing Henna. I don't know if that's usual for a task like Henna, but Megha was so deeply involved that she literally ignored most of our conversation. At the end of Henna, she apologized for not listening to us. This alone inspired me a lot and motivated to write this review. The result - picture attached. I will be definitely reaching out to her next year, or for any other festival celebration.

I yelped henna artists in SF, and after wading through a bunch of white artists, I finally found an Indian girl named Megha. I texted her and she got back to me right away, and I was able to schedule an appt for literally that evening. She was open to me sending her specific designs, but she also has a portfolio of her own. She came over to my place (but you can meet her at a coffee shop or something if you prefer) and it took her about 45 mins to do both my hands, and at a very good rate to boot! I paid $20 per hand which is a bargain, because her work is beautiful! She works methodically and has a creative eye for improvising and adapting to any design you want. Will definitely be holding onto her number for future urges ;) Thanks Megha for making this Pakistani girl happy! :)

She made made my henna so beautifully and she made it a really fun experience. I love how she created the design on her own based on what I wanted. Usually henna paste has a nasty odor that I immediately want to wash off, but Mona uses her own personal mixed henna paste that smells sooooooooo AMAZING!! I don't mind keeping it on longer than usual [I'm not a patient person haha]. The color came out really dark the next day. The picture I posted is actually 1 week after! It lasted longer than my previous henna experiences. Aside from henna, Mona also sells jewelry!! First off, I'm not a typical girly-girl...I'm horrible at accessorizing. When it comes to pairing jewelry with outfits, I can't function! Thank goodness Mona helped me out and made me look great. Her pricing is pretty decent and the quality of her jewelry is better than what you see in stores. I've been to many indian stores in the bay area searching for jewelry and they are insanely overpriced! I definitely recommend contacting Kaustubha Boutique about the services offered! You won't be disappointed. :p
