She has an AH-Mazing array of "tools" in her basket. The primary therapy we used for my situation was EMDR, it was life-changing. She tends to know which direction to go in each session, and she kept me on task, redirecting rather than allowing for diversion and delay. If they don't answer your call right away, their return call to help you is always in a reasonably short amount of time. I see two therapists from Orlando Counseling Services (Amy Valentino for individual therapy and Makenzie Moffett for family therapy) and I am impressed with both of them. Amy is by far the best individual therapist I have ever had and I have been in therapy on and off for almost 40 years. Amy respects my dignity and self-actualization as a client; is not so arrogant to think she knows better than me as to what I should do with my own life; acts as a guide to make observations about things I can think about to make better decisions about myself; and is incredibly accommodating and generous with her time and energy to show care and concern for me and my mental and emotional well-being. I contacted Rula (the company that set us up), and was told in an email, "According to their note, the decision was based on a mismatch in specialization, and they recommended a rematch to ensure you receive the best possible care." If she was so concerned about my care, she should've sent me a message telling me that she was dropping me as a client, why she was doing so, and wishing me luck. Ghosting me the way she did was very unprofessional and hurtful.

The offices are in Regis office suite but while it sounds odd, it actually works pretty well. My therapist and I have worked for about 3 or 4 months so far and I'm happy with the progress I've made. As I mentioned, but I'm all seriousness, it's hard to find a well run practice that is convenient, taking new patients and has quality therapists. Well, tranquil waters manages to make it on all points. Hard to leave a personal review for a place like this but I feel that you should know you are making a solid choice.
