Consignment of clothes was a waste, very little money and one shop closed without any acknowledgment and owed me money. Charlie and crew did a marvelous job of finding the items through out my brother in laws home and attic. The items were arranged beautifully and prices were fair. The sale was run very well, the crowd was controlled, and payment was received by the third day after the sale. They sold all the Hummels, Waterford, and the thousands of Christmas items.This company is a class act. I could not believe the number of people who attended the sale due to their advertising. He was slightly abusive to the customers and played games. When he started one item at $ 75 and it went up to about $100, said 'sold' and discovered someone had placed a proxy bid on it. and bought a partial lot. He reopened the bid for the remainder and someone bid $90, he then started the bid at $ 100, and then said 'passed' and went to the next. He clearly heard the bidder, I was right there. He also passed an item I was bidding on, yelled 'too late' as i raised my hand. I saw him pass on many items that bidders were interested in. He would start out bids at what he wanted, and quickly shout 'passed' . There is something wrong here, this is not really a standard auction but more like a retail store with an arrogant manager. I'll probably not be back. Crowds have been much lighter since Robert passed. This is no longer an 'auction house'
