They offer many different classes at various different skill levels. The environment is very welcoming and FUN! They allow you to film yourself on your phone so you can review and practice the routines at home which is so convenient and appreciated! They have a great variety of packages and memberships to choose from and their website is very easy to navigate. They maintain an updated class schedule online each week so you can view class descriptions and easily book yourself for whatever classes you'd like to attend. A lot of other pole dance studios oftentimes miss this important part of the customer experience unfortunately. They are a fairly new company, so they are starting to expand their merchandise which is cool. I bought a water bottle which I use a lot due to its small size, sleek look, and durability. Last but not least, the location and frosted windows offer privacy. It's too bad that I moved away from Bend, because I can't seem to find a pole dance studio as good as this one. I am saddened to say that this YMCA no longer prioritizes protecting the youth in its care, nor the staff they employ. Their new facility was poorly built and threw them into not only debt, but an urgency to make money back above all else. They throw people under the bus to protect the "organization" and no longer prioritize people over profit. Disappointed that it has strayed so far from a place of community. I would not recommend a membership here, and would especially not recommend you work here or enroll your children.

Within, I want to say the first 2 weeks of classes, it was found that I was originally overcharged for the summer tuition. No big deal. Mistakes happen. My daughter went to the first two weeks and loved it. She is 4 in a 5-7 class, and I had made sure ahead of time (August birthday, so she's always been the youngest) that this wouldn't be an issue. Week 3 comes around and there was a different teacher. Apparently, she had said something to my daughter in front of the other kids that she was too young for the class, and this really embarrassed her. I couldn't get her to go back after that. Which was super disappointing. Lauren (the owner) had called and honestly, she's amazing and if her staff handled things the way she did, I wouldn't be writing this review. I told her what happened, and she offered a refund because we weren't going to use 4/6 weeks I had prepaid for. Again, awesome. Still not worth a review in my opinion. What was too much for me was when after a week I hadn't seen a refund processed. I called and emailed. I was only sent a short email eventually saying, "we have processed your refund and here's your receipt." I said it never came through. Eventually, Paige said if I didn't get it by the next Monday to reach out. When I did, she sent me the same exact email. Not helpful at all. I followed back up because now I'm getting upset. I let a lot go and was thinking maybe it was a processing error of sorts. If I didn't work in accounting and meticulously check my statements, I would have never caught that. I finally got an email after being ignored over and over, saying they never processed the refund correctly. Now I'm upset. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review but honestly, this all feels borderline fraudulent. Make sure you check your statements if you do business here.

The community that Dakota has created here is unmatched by any other studio I have ever been to. I took two tap classes, one beginning and one int/adv, the girls dancing in the int/adv class basically all knew each other but welcomed me in with open arms. In addition the pricing is sooo affordable! There is literally no excuse not to try this studio out!! You will not regret it! Happy dancing!!!!
