FST is such a vibe. It feels like home right when you walk in. That sounds cheesy, but it's a actually a big deal because everyone's actual home feels so different, but the bartenders do such a wonderful job at making each customer feel like they belong and they are right where they needed to be. The paninis are yummy and made to order, there's a great selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and the music adds such a nice touch to the atmosphere. I woke up to some disappointing news needed vent over drinks and tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere. I'd heard great things about Free Street Tavern so I decided to check them out. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the bartender/cook. Though she was by herself initially, she was able to meet everyone's need without missing a beat. They have a cool yet simple menu of Paninis and they have a daily crock pot meal as well and along with their drink menu. I am definitely a Buffalo girl, so I got the Buffalo Chicken Panini paired with chips and pickles. Slightly spicy, gooey cheese, soft bread filled with an abundance of flavorful chicken, this sandwich definitely hit the spot !! Next time i go, and there will be a next time, I've already planned to get the" Actually Casa Di Pizza Pizza Panini", which is 2 slices of pizza turned into a panini!! How can you not love that? ! Lol!! About the pours....meaning drinks,( I just decided it would be cool to say pours, they actually just call them drinks,lol). Anywho, I just so happened to go on Wednesday and is Wine Wednesday so I tried some prosecco !! What a nice pour for a nice price ( see my pic)!! Apparently they are known for their nostalgic cup collection!! I got New York Sour served in a throw back Friday's glass!! What a fun surprise!! And might I add a beautiful and tasty drink. They really have such a well developed drink menu, I loved how they had it divided by the Spirits. It makes it so much easier to chose a drink with the wanted ingredients. Went with a friend to check out this new-ish bar in the area and it did not disappoint. Stayed for a couple drinks more than expected and tried the food as well. Their signature items are the paninis and I highly recommend trying the Open Face Memphis Pulled Pork ($9). It was really, really good. All sandwiches come with chips (which were also good). I also ordered the stuff pepper Mac and cheese ($4, cup). Didn't wow me as much as the sandwich, but it was good. This bar opened not that long ago on Niagara Street. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood. Not too big, screens with sports on the brick walls, just a nice place to have a beer with friends. The bar has no taps, beer is served in bottle or can. Don't worry you have to drink out of the can, a glass is provided. I did not study it, but there is a small plates menu, so come hungry. So tried a Genesee cream ale not bad but not what I expected.. had the meatball sandwich which was ok, pastrami sandwich was good.. and customer next to me had the ham and cheese which looked really good melting away. Bartender were extremely nice can't say enough about them.. like the look of the place with exposed brick also.. will deff have to try something else to eat if I go back.. would recommend if in area for a quick bite. read more

Amazing add to the expanding Niagara Street area! Free street has that neighborhood bar appeal with a great atmosphere. The menu changes constantly and they have daily specials. Nice hole-in-the-wall pub on Buffalo's West Side. Good selection of cocktails and beer. Menu features a variety of panini sandwiches and a few soup and salad options. I suggest the Pork Banh Mi and Meatball bomber options. No drink or food option on the menu costs more than $9, so easy on the wallet too. Bar is clean and well kept up. There are multiple TVs for watching sports. Full bathrooms rather than stalls, which always just seem nicer to me. read more

Doing everything right. Paninis excellent and large variety. Everything in the menu that I saw was under $10. Play the football games on Sundays and Monday's and turn the music down and sound on. No long wait for drinks or food. Amazing wine list actually. And not freezing cold inside. Oh and clean bathrooms and friendly, helpful staff. read more

The staff is friendly & welcoming, the food is delicious, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The space is small, but it makes for a cozy experience. If you're not in the mood for one of their paninis, they always have something different going on in the crockpot. I have made it a goal to try every panini on the menu, but found myself in love with the Memphis BBQ panini and can't bother to order anything else. read more

Let's be realistic. FST is amazing in many ways that most wouldnt otherwise acknowledge. The bathrooms are cozy and bodily conscience. The colors of the walls illuminate the happiness of the owner, their entire M.O. and their patrons. Use of linens are economical and environmentally aware of unnecessary waste. There is a television is every possible sightline angle, despite whichever specifically engaging conversation you're with whatever relationship is in your presence, you won't miss a moment of Bills or Sabres action. Even the staff can watch without having to turn their backs to patrons! The seating is cushy and comfortable; there is no discomfort seemingly to encourage any person to leave after any lengthy presence. The grub is fantastic and genuinely excites the palate. Drinks are perfect. Simple. And thirst quenching. I am not sure what is my favorite characteristic overall, though i do love the vibrant red front door which pops niagara street like a mister rogers friendly where everyone knows your name classic buffalo neighborhood mom & pop libation station. Alternatively, the owner's crafty messages to patrons, and employees, regarding proper cleansing responsibilities are comically appropriate. read more

Was there late night on a Friday and they were serving food at 1am Bahn Mi and Thick cut Bologna were fantastic. Definitely worth the stop. read more

They're okay. They are handling CoViD well in their policies, which I appreciate. They had plexiglas separators up when I went, and required masks. But they are overpriced and don't have beer on tap. Don't get me wrong, the beverages are delicious, but you can get similarly excellent beverages elsewhere without paying $10 a drink plus tips. read more
