Called to get some patio chairs. They said they had enough so I put them on hold. When I got there the next day, they were stacked at the entrance with a reserved sign on them. I want to give five stars to Merced, at Ace Hardware who helped me find the perfect product for my plants. We researched and we couldn't find it at any store and he said he would research a little bit more and get back to me. He went to the growers supplies rather than the retail stores and he called me back with a phone number for them and they had the product that I was looking for. I was so grateful for his persistence in finding the product for my needs to balance out my fertilizer for my philodendron. Merced was so very kind to take the time to do the research to find the proper product for calcium and magnesium to give the strength to my plants leaves and he was extremely knowledgeable about what was needed. This Ace Hardware is the former store that was located on freedom and airport. The new store is very nicely decorated and it seems to have a wider variety of items in the previous store had. The employees are pleasant, nice, and helpful. They seem to know where everything is in the store and they are willing to help you go find it. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this Ace Hardware. The only reason why I took one star off is because their prices are higher than Home Depot's. Went into the Freedom Ace hardware for a padlock. I found the brand I wanted marked on sale so I took two to the counter where the computer listed them at full price. I told the clerk that I thought they were on sale. He went back to check, took the sign down and then told me they were no longer on sale. I bought one at full price. I am 72 years old and this is a first for me. Most stores will honor the advertised price but not Ace hardware. read more

This store used to be great. I don't know what happened, but they are horrible now. First off, the whole store is filthy. When I walked in, there wasn't a clerk at the register, and when I went to walk out, one employee accused me of stealing and demanded to see what was in my pockets. I'll just stick with the Home Depot. The regional manager really needs to make a surprise visit and shape this place up. This location is in desperate need of some special attention. read more
