Summer 2020. In a time fraught with so much national unease, sickness and quarantine, the days turned unbearably HOT. Day 5 of 90°+, high-humidity weather, with at least 5 more on the way. My central air unit was angry, and decided it had had enough. With a prolonged, whining scream, the unit abruptly retired with a final, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. PEACE OUT, MY FRIENDS- ENJOY THE HEAT!" What was I to do? I've been stuck working from home for months, and had neither refuge nor respite from the heat. At 6pm on a Tuesday afternoon, in a panic, I blasted a desperate plea for help into the vastness of Yelp. And waited... ...but alas, my wait was not long at all! He offered to assist the following evening, and given the current climate, I was completely shocked that ANYBODY would be able to help with that short of a timeframe. After experiencing a snafu with my existing programmable thermostat, Dennis researched the problem and came back the next morning with a solution. Highly Recommend! My experience with Freedom Air Mechanical was great. Needed a new furnace. Had a few quotes that were a bit too expensive. Reached out to Freedom after reading the reviews. Dennis followed up right away. Sent him pictures of my furnace and he gave me a quote via text. Quick and painless. I asked about financing. He let me know financing was available and he'd send me a written estimate with a link to finance options. He checked in with me later to see if I had received it. When I let him know I had not gotten it he apologized took 100 off my estimate and sent it to me right away. I was very impressed with his integrity and level of customer service. I ended up not doing financing and had to save up for the job. I reached out to Dennis three months later and he remembered me and offered to schedule me in two days. He texted me the day before service to answer any questions. He had several convenient payment methods including CashApp and Zelle. A technician arrived 15 minutes early. Highly recommended! So I've lived in my home for 5 years, I finally decide to have someone take a look at the AC (which hasn't worked since BEFORE I bought the house per the previous owner). Highly recommend this company. My AC went out Friday at 2p on an 84 degree humid Detroit day. I was surpised to find that after some correspondence, I was not in their service area. Yelp mistakenly matched me with this company. Because of the time it took the company to realize, Dennis the owner, felt responsible enough to come out the next day on a Saturday and replace the needed part. Needless to say I paid him extra!
