I finished washing as usual and prayed and hoped that none of the nails got into my tires... 3 weeks later, I had routine maintenance for 25k on my car and the dealership called me at work to tell me that THERE WAS A NAIL IN MY TIRE and that the location of it made it irreparable, and given that my tires were 2 years old at that point, I wasn't able to just replace one tire; I had to replace ALL 4 TIRES for a total of $1200. I guess I even had to count myself lucky that with my daily commute on the freeway to and from work, I didn't experience a blowout or car accident! I tried contacting the owner of this car wash to tell him about what happened. I didn't even request him to cover part of the cost of the damage, nor did I threaten him in any way. I simply wanted to make him aware of what happened. However, no response after over 2 months, and this is why I'm writing this review. I understand that someone other than the owner was the person who dumped all those nails on the ground, BUT I expected at least a text back from the owner saying sorry or that he went and fixed the issue at the car wash by inspecting the facility more often. Still nothing back from him, and I am now terrified to bring my car back to Timpview Car Wash. It's really too bad, because I really liked the concept of hand-washing my car; I don't like automated car washes due to the scratches they put on my last car.

I also noticed a call button which I find useful in cases such as no towels or accidentally vacuuming something. The vacuums worked great as well which I definitely appreciate. The lack of a star is due to the back of my van still being dirty. Around the logo, license plate and back of my window of my Toyota sienna was still very dirty. I don't think my car was so dirty that it couldn't be cleaned as it was just as dirty all around the car, I believe the equipment just didn't get to those spots as well as everywhere else. Besides that, shiny shell seems to know how to tend to their customers in a convenient and friendly manner.

Second, the wash quality is better than other washes in my opinion. Usually the dryers at the end of these car washes dent or push in the roof of my car but shiny shells does not and their washers get in some of the nooks and crannies that other washes do not. Third, they have free car mat cleaner, they only car wash that I know of that does this, they have free soda for patrons, free water sprayer inside so your kids can spray passing cars and they also have a playground area. I'm telling you that this is THE place when it comes to car washes and they have my loyalty for life because of their standards.

The only reason I'm taking a star away is that their vaccum set up for customers to use is very minimum and the suction was very bad. I wasn't able to get a lot of the spots I was hoping to get. I personally do not buy their monthly membership but that's only because I am cheap and also cause I can't afford it but I do believe they're the best option out there right now for the price. The car wash experience itself at this location is great, usually you can pull right up without a line and be in and out within 5-mins if you're not using the vacuums. The one thing I will say is that on our car in particular it seems like certain sections of the car wash are almost too abrasive, our car gets rocked in some sections and in two cases we have had a section of our rear bumper popped off so just be mindful of that if you cherish your car and don't want to do more harm than good, our car is 11yrs old so we could car less about paint scratches and other things so we're not scared to go through these touch carwashes.

Long story short we were able to recover the vehicle with the help of GPS and the police. But the interior was trashed... Luckily we found Mike. He made our vehicle look brand new again! The detail itself took about 3 hours (I camped at home during that time), but the interior and exterior were spotless! I also added wax service for $20. He runs a pretty busy schedule despite the challenges we all face as a nation and as global citizens... if you like his work, give this man a tip!
