Being able to utilize resources and volunteering for purposes greater than just ourselves. There's so many ways to grow with this church and actively be involved. We attended a marriage seminar workshop here, was fortunate to have our one year old daughter blessed as well. There are an array of Ohana groups on campus to join, a preschool, and mission trips as well! We love how this church as an organization focuses more on giving back through its community outreach programs! We are sad that they will be converting to one campus as we loved it's Kapolei location which is closer to home. However we are excited to see what is in store at the Waipahu campus as we continue to give back a portion of what God has blessed us with so we can continue to grow in our faith and help others!

So glad to become a part of the New Hope Leeward community. Located by the Home Depot in Kapolei, where there is traffic control for every service and a welcoming group of people ready to help get us situated with daycare if needed, greeting us at the entrance and seating us for service. Now with changes in our world today, New Hope continues to lead us through service online with amazing messages to keep us going. I've met my best friends here, started my business bc of the favor of God on this house and Ps Mike's constant encouragement from platform. So the women's conference is great, but "merch"'and an expanding venue to rake in more money vs a more intimate sanctuary. They preach weekly about the obedience of tithing to further the ministry, why then does the women's conference cost an arm and a leg?? Shouldnt the head female pastor be promoting women's conference so "all" can attend without taking a loan?? They have lost and no longer promote the most high as our father but rather as an avenue to personal wealth! Promoting, women against one another and wear your best to arise! Then their daughter posts daily about her run or her OT workout as she is married to a local artist. Is vanity not a root sin. I'm ready to move on to a more intimate environment focused on God and not riches and aesthetics. I said what I said...prove me wrong!

Amazing ancient wooden church reminiscent of years past. A true gem of ecclesiastical architecture…read morelocated in Ewa. A very diverse and enthusiastic parish. I come here on days when I'm free and always marvel at the 1929-circa structure and architectural adornments that provide a proper, peaceful, contemplative atmosphere for worshipping God,in all his Triune magnificence. The church contains a proper Nave, Narthex, Atrium, and Ambo. The original wooden buttresses have been repainted in a more modern color, but imagine they were splendid back in the day in their natural Koa wood simplicity. My poor photos do not do it justice. A church this old is certainly in need of recurring maintenance and I think the parish does well on the limited budget. But with all old buildings, there is always much to still do to preserve. I hope and pray that this beautiful church can always remain here on Oahu and that restoration efforts continue. I enjoy the beautiful Eucharistic Adoration on first Fridays and the fact that a lovely dedicated group of parishioners stay after Mass to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet together. I fully appreciate how piously the parish keeps a period of holy silence before Mass begins. This allows one to gather thoughts, offer personal prayers and prepare to as St Paul says: "offer yourselves as a perfect sacrifice to the Lord..." We have this to be a nice, warm, inviting, and friendly place to go. We do Sunday nights, which is a nice small crowd. If you would like to check it out, it would be a good night to go. Found both pastors to be nice and don't treat you like a stranger but more as a long-lost family member. I have them both to tell good stories of the Bible and to be straightforward in their message of God. There are a lot of smaller kids on Sunday nights, but all seem very respectful and listen the whole time. They also do a Wednesday night Bible study for the kids, teen, and adults. This Wednesday will be our first time for the study, so we will see. Thank you for doing what you do, Pastors Ried and Deverell, for making so welcoming!

Sadly my participation here was for her funeral and today is the celebration of her life...where we were invited to express our loss and show the love we have along with the lists of songs we provided them and oh how the sang and brough the entire crowd to tears...very moving in a beautiful way I know she's here and loved it all. They have a few parking which is the biggest challenge but this lovely place is just a simple yet stunning decor, everyone here is just pure delight and I just love love love how they all support us with a table to place pictures extra vases for flowers making us all feel the love. I still have friends who attend. Gone through many Fathers through the decades. Got our house blessed by one. And, blessed a couple other times by others. Got married by one. Had funeral services here for my parents too. This church has served as the foundation for my family and continues to do so for my time. When I do attend mass, I feel all that and it helps to bring the comfort. So, what am I trying to say? It's a good church.

The night before we searched Google and Yelp for "Christian Churches near me" and Harbor Church West Oahu in Kapolei stood out. We decided on the 11am service. Upon entering and hearing the music, we agreed that the "vibe" felt quaint yet similar to the Church we normally attend in Springfield, NJ. Surprisingly both Churches use the same "Church Center" app for notifications and donations. We sat near the front and Pastor Justin was so kind and gracious to introduce himself. At the end of the service, he prayed a heartfelt prayer with us (as we are embarking on the IVF journey). It was very heartwarming and appreciated. We highly recommend Harbor Church West Oahu in KapoleI if you're visiting (or a local).
