Thank you Freedom Fireworks. Living in 'liberal' California we can't simply walk up to a stand to purchase fireworks. In fact before my visit to Elkhorn I had never shot off a firework. Upon walking into this business my eyes lit up. Clearly seeing I was not from this part of the world the man behind the counter welcomed me with open arms and gave me a tour/explanation of what they carried. We joked about Southern California with him saying how many of these would burn down the state and he totally grasped why these fun things are illegal where I am from. After a friendly and hilarious conversation and tour I purchased a beginner firework and was on my way. Unlike the only other review, where I did see some MAGA goods there was nothing that desecrated the American flag nor signs that said Democrats were not welcome. We came back the next day for more fireworks and that's when I discovered this place has a rad deal. If you check in you get the 3 for $25 deal for free. I cashed in while buying another 3 for $25 deal and we had a literal blast on our last night in Wisconsin. Thank you again Freedom Fireworks for your generosity and the excitement you brought this liberal democrat from California who found himself in your wonderful small Wisconsin town. If I ever return to Alpine Valley, I will indeed return to Freedom Fireworks. read more

With over 40 years in the business we know what products to offer our customers and that is top quality fireworks. We don't carry remakes and off shoots, we carry the originals for a fair price.

History

Established in 1976.

Our business was started back in 1976 by Mom & Dad. They were two young crazy kids with dreams and inexperience. Dad went down south and came back up with firecrackers in his eyes. He saw how the nostalgia of fireworks filled children with happiness that rivals Christmas and had to bring that back to Wisconsin. With Dads dreams and Moms ability to make them come true, they started this whole journey that their sons & daughter, grandson, sisters & brothers, nieces & nephews, cousins and great nieces & nephews continue to this day!

Went to check out the spring flea market and lucked out with a great parking spot right across the…read morestreet. Paid my $5 admission and had to go to the restroom... expecting to see port-a-potties, I was happy to see a big sign indicating the orange building were restrooms. Easily spotted up ahead, indoor plumbing, clean with plenty of stalls and multiple spots to wash hands. For an outdoor venue, this made me quite happy. There are vendors galore at the flea market and something for everyone. Arrive early for the best finds and to be sure you have time to see everything because there are so many items on display. Many vendors are open to making a deal even! A few food vendors on site as well in case you get hungry for breakfast, lunch, snack or beverages but I'd like to see more options in the future. Bring cash although there are a few who accept Venmo, just don't count on it. Otherwise, it's a great place to spend a few hours and find things you may or may not know you needed!

You can pay extra for early bird entry, otherwise the gates open at 7a for general admission. They have a few food vendors but could work to get a couple more on site, especially if you are planning to spend all day there. I've been coming here for a number of years and love meandering through all the booths.

Cedarburg Maxwell Street Days

The amount of dealers that set up there compared to a few years ago doesn't really make it worth…read morethe drive. Not sure what they're charging dealers to set up (that could have something to do with it). I have attended twice this year. Last weekend the weather was perfect. Not worth driving about an hour to see the same 70 or so dealers that you can see at most of the other flea markets. I would guess that maybe 20 percent or less of the dealer spaces were filled. Don't see any reason to go back to this flea market, It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorites.

Back in 2021 I purchased 30 7 foot Emerald Arborvitae's from Arbor Vista Nursery. I had the…read moreopportunity to interact with the owner who was extremely helpful in picking out trees for a privacy screen for our home in Whitewater. The trees were delivered the following week and we planted them the next day. Over the course of 2021 we watered the trees twice a week. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2021 most of the trees started to brown. One of the trees died over the winter and when we contacted Arbor Vista Nursery they suggested a fertilizer stick and for us to continue watering to reverse the browning. They indicated they would replace the tree for $100. Over the course of the summer of 2022 6 additional trees died. Fast forward to the Spring of 2023, we have 7 dead trees, followed the instructions of Arbor Vista Nursery and they want to charge us 40% more per tree for two foot shorter trees. I feel let down considering we followed their advice, that some of the trees were diseased and started browning since we purchased them at that we are being taken advantage of to replace them. They were extremely unhelpful in resolving our concerns and I found several other reputable nurseries that our selling their same product for cheaper. Recommend purchasing elsewere.
