Don't do business with these scam artists. They use 3rd party sales guys who will lie and say whatever it takes to get you to sign the contract. The Freedom Forever guys cut my water line TWICE while installing the panels. Then they sent me an amendment stating my monthly bill would now be more than twice the cost the sales guy told me. Weeks going back and forth with an "investigator" who only said "well you signed the contract". I thought I did my due diligence, but apparently not enough. I didn't sign anything after the amendment and did not turn the system on. When I called Freedom Forever they said the system had been turned on and was running. These ppl are so shady and the sales ppl they use are garbage. They'll screw you and then say "well you signed". Very expensive lesson learned. Do NOT do business with this company. read more

What a frustrating, disrespectful experience. A technician showed up August 4th without any prior notice. He sent a quick text saying he needed access to the garage, but when I called him back three times and texted him again and again, no reply. I called customer service, who said they'd reschedule him for three days later. I made arrangements to be available again, only to receive a call that morning telling me the tech would not be coming and I'd be pushed to August 14. Just unacceptable. My solar panels have been offline for six months, and this company has done nothing but waste time and ignore commitments. Avoid Freedom Forever if you can. And if you're already stuck with this system, I highly recommend contacting a solar consumer protection attorney. These companies need to be held accountable. read more

Door to door sales men came by. Don't do it. The level of customer service is awful and that is putting it lightly. I called the customer service number to cancel the service. After trying to cancel the service with the project manager who was assigned to us. All she did was send the people who sold the system to us out to tell us that is was already had the permit and we couldn't cancel the installation. I called the national number after being on hold for 2 hrs I got nothing called back and got in touch with a person after a 1/2 hr wait just to be told to call another. Number. Call that number to be told call the project manager told them I did . He finally did something and canceled my order. I hope. Will call again to see read more

Leighton Dimando is a manipulative sales rep. He will promise you things, stay very in touch with you, but as soon as your solar panels are installed, he disappears. I have no way to monitor my solar panels, no buyback program like I was promised, I just have useless solar panels and I'm still paying for regular electricity. Leighton will not response to phone calls or text messages. This is terrible customer service. Do NOT use Freedom Forever or anything associated with Leighton Dimando. read more

This company is a scam. I tried to get Solar with them with them and it's been nearly a year. With multiple issues and reaching a point where it seemed to be no progress, I decided to cancel. After Cancelling, Freedom Forever, , tried charging me $3500. Then, the financing company that they worked with, Mosaic, put a lien against me. They are saying I owe them $40,000+ and it's on my credit report. The credit bureau said they will not remove it. Mosaic being on my credit all year, without any solar panels on my roof has been one of the issues. I have informed them of these issues and given them time to rectify it but instead the situation just kept getting worse and worse. I would never use any of these companies again, even if they were to give me something for free. And I would not advise anyone else to use them. read more

Our panels were installed in April. It is September and they still DO NOT WORK. At all. Waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for them to be fixed. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER PROBLEM. I am NOT HAPPY at all and about to call my lawyer because these mother XXXX are on my BRAND NEW ROOF BUT DON'T WORK. Buyer Beware!!! I got my panels installed back in 11/2022, and didn't become operational until mid-end 1/2023. Less than 5 months later, around 6/4, the system went down. I did not notice the issue until I happened to sign into my Solar Edge app (this is how you monitor your solar production) around 6/7, and contacted Solar Edge to troubleshoot. Essentially they said something is going on with the inverter, call your installer, AKA Freedom Forever. I called Freedom Forever, and they're saying, yes they noticed the system went down around 6/4. I inquired why I wasn't notified and the representative said, it's the "responsibility of the owner" to keep an eye on the productivity of the system. My thoughts: "ok, fair. You were aware of the issue, but were you going to do anything about it at all??" Alright, giving them the benefit of the doubt. The first service call was 6/19, and the tech didn't notify me he was on his way, nor provide updates as to what is going on with the system. I had to call customer service back, to inquire what was actually wrong; was told a part had to be ordered. Fast forward to the 2nd service call on 7/14, tech actually did call me ahead to let me know he's on the way, so I was able to let my sister (who WFH) know. But overall, I told him to contact me with what was happening and updates. System was functioning after 5-6 hours of them troubleshooting, etc. All this was short-lived though. My system went down again 7/17, and I've called Freedom forever upwards of 25+ times to get updates since 6/7 and try to put an urgency on fixing my system. It is now 8/4/23, my system has been down for over 2 months, in the dead of summer. I am on the hook for the solar panel loans AND my electric bill. Now new information from today's 1+ hr phone call, after empty promises of customer service reps saying they'll "contact me back after a week or couple of days with an update"; I come to find out, if they need to replace my inverter, it'll null my solar production guarantee (SPCER). The guarantee only is applicable if the panels don't produce enough solar, but doesn't count if it's due to the inverter (since that's from Solar Edge, and not Freedom). It's all a bunch of BS, bc this is due to no fault of the customer if part of the system becomes faulty. This company is unreliable and scammy. If you're looking to purchase solar panels, PLEASE look somewhere else. read more

Getting help from this company is an absolutely terrible process. My roof was damaged almost three months ago from a tornado. I called Freedom immediately after I found an available roofer to replace it and was given a two week time frame of receiving a call back regarding the removal process so I can get my roof replaced as I have ACTIVE leaks every time it rains now, making water damage worse every time. I had to call back after that I ital time frame and have been given the run around ever since. I've called at least ten times in the past two and a half months and have had to BEG to move on to the next step. I finally was sent the quote to sign and have Now been told the waiting period for even receiving a date for taking off my panels will be another 30 to 60 days. The customer service is an absolute joke and I will be most likely using another company to remove and reinstall my panels. read more

Bought the system in July for 75k and as of today 01/22/2023 still not operational so now I am paying the solar company and utility company. Would not recommend it. Update #2. Still waiting on CPS to do a system check. They are a bit slow. Finally got responses from the customer care dept of freedom. They took awhile but finally came around the dryer got fixed and supposedly there is a gift card coming to repair the headlight they broke on install day 2. They never admitted it but will pay to repair it so that's a win. Still don't understand why the inspection is taking so long. Something about slow requesting it but it's scheduled for 30 Sept. that will be the next update. We have their attention now at least. read more

Let me start by saying that I am less than 85% satisfied with my Solar system from Freedom Forever. When we signed on with them, "100% Production Guarantee" was flashed across everything we saw, materials, presentation, website, and on and on. However, what they really mean is: 100% = 85%. In the contract (as sub text in one of the Appendixes), it does state that they only consider a system that is producing less than 85% to be worthy of reimbursement or review. I guess what they really mean is that they "100% guarantee your system will produce at least 85% of design capacity". So, if you have to deal with Freedom Forever - make them upsize your system by at least 15% if you want to avoid electrical utility bills. DO NOT believe their 100% hype! More details about my experience - My system was, per contract, to generate 12,347 kWh. Early on, and through the year, I reported production issues and was told that nothing could be done until the review at the end of year-1. I was to save all utility bills and payments so that they could be reimbursed. I collected and analyzed all of my solar and utility data through the year. My solar system wound up producing 11,028 kWh during year-1. 89.3% of designed capacity - which translates to 10 months and 3 weeks of production, 5 weeks short of planned amount. Since my production was above their magic 85% clause in the contract, I was informed that I got what I paid for and that, in effect, I should just be thankful for what I got. So, instead of having an awesome solar experience - it is just, "meh". We still pay utility bills on top of our solar investment even though the system was sized for 100% of our electrical coverage. :( Still not happy and I doubt I would invest in Solar again. We almost backed out, but the promises were so good that it sounded like a great deal for us. We never did get a consumption meter (asked for it) and can only measure generation capacity. The 85% clause was there in the addendum, but their marketing material and website are quite deceptive by the broad use of 100%. The fine print does accurately state what we were told in our production review. They hide behind the fact that their sales arm is handled by "authorized distribution channel", and so they cannot be held responsible for what was suggested or promised at that point. Bottom line - think twice and get all assumptions, expectations and sales promises in writing. read more

The system has just been one problem after another: it has underperformed, it took them about six months between signing for it and it being functional, and reaching someone in customer service takes an act of God. Run far away from this company. read more

Ok, So tips for prospective buyers. Get on paper what the systems max production will be during peak time. Not what the panels are rated at. Get on paper at what point do they step in and fix an issue in performance. Verify everything before they install the panels! Once panels are installed you are out of luck as far as cancelling goes. You will not have a running system by them so how can you verify you got what you ordered? You can't! I would 100% cancel if I could. We ordered a 11,200 kw system. We got a 8120 kw system. That's 8120 kw max production during peak time during day in July! So there is a loss of 3080 kw (27%) between the panels and the inverter. I am not going to eliminate my electric bill with this system, they know this and are doing nothing. They believe they have done nothing wrong. I have yet to be able to talk to finance company but believe that is my next stop with this issue. It took them 5 scheduled visits to compete this install. First day they cancelled without telling anyone because I had asked my sales rep a couple of question he couldn't answer. So yeah from day one got a sour taste in mouth from this deal. Yes going solar was a really good idea but the 27% loss of production is just too much for me to be happy with. This company claims to be part of vivant home security. read more

Buckle up this is a long one: I am sharing my experiences with this company so that others may think twice about using them. In late January of 2022 our solar project was completed and turned on. It was working great. Our neighbors next to us who saw what we were doing signed up with them as well and our projects were completed around the same timeline. Fast forward to the end of July of 2022 and all of a sudden, my neighbors Solar was not working. They said there was an issue with the inverter and a new one need to be installed but that she would have to wait 4-6 weeks to get a new one. Some supply chain issue. Fast forward again to August 18th (about two weeks after my neighbors solar stopped working) and now my solar is down. They told me I had the same issue and would have to wait. Now keep in mind we haven't even hit a year after install. I told the company that it's really weird that both of our newly installed projects going down around the same deadline was weird and we questioned if the service guys installed our inverters correctly. I was assured that this wasn't an issue of improper installation. So here we are waiting calling once a week to make sure we aren't forgotten and to get updates. Seeing as when your solar is down there no reimbursement for the cost of electricity when it's out and we are also paying an additional$130 per month for the panels themselves you can guess our utilities have been exorbitantly high. Which completely defeats the purpose of why we went solar in the first place. Now, by this point I was getting little to no information, and they seemed to be in a rush to getting me off the phone. I was beyond frustrated and filed a complaint on the BBB website. Honestly, I just wanted to speak to someone who could give me a more detailed update then the "we're waiting, and we'll call you" spiel I kept getting. So, on September 6th, I received a call from Nathan regarding my complaint on the BBB website. Nathan is awesome and has been in constant contact with me since then. He gives me the number for Solar Edge (the company who sells the inverters) so that I can get a live tracking number. I call solar edge get my tracking number and learn that freedom forever actually has my inverter. I thought this would be the end of it and breathed a sigh of relief. I informed Nathan of this, and he scheduled a service for September 9th between 1:00-3:00 pm. Perfect! I will also mention that I gave my neighbors Nathan's number and solar edge number. So that she too can get help and tracking information. Seeing as she has been dealing with this issue since July. Come to find out that Freedom Forever had her inverter since August 18th!!! No one called her to set up an appointment (as we we're constantly promised they would) needless to say she was livid. Nathan also set up an appointment for her on the same day as mine. We both were annoyed but relieved. Fast forward to September 22nd. I was still calling and texting because our solar was still not working. It was then that after further digging, that Nathan and I found out that my inverter was NEVER replaced on September 9th. Mind you, I had called customer service multiple times and they kept saying "it's up and running it just needs to be synced to the app". The technician on September 9th was on the side of my house on the phone with someone arguing. I didn't really care because honestly, I was just glad, he was there to replace my inverter and I didn't care if he was on the phone or not. I just mentioned this for the simple fact that I know he was working and was there. Also, he never came to our door and informed us there was an issue or mix up. Had he done at least that I wouldn't have been to upset and would have scheduled another service call within the week. But instead, I was none the wiser and weeks have gone by while our bill again skyrockets only to find out that the service that was supposed to be done was never done at all (even though the technician had marked it as completed, that was a lie). Now I'm livid. So, I had to wait till September 26th for my invertor to be replaced. I'm sorry I have been in customer service for over 15+ years. If a company very blatantly drops the ball and a customer is upset because of it. Said company should offer a credit or reimbursement of some sort. Regardless of what the contract states. Telling us to wait till February I would understand if this was just a supply issue. However, this is not a supply issue. This is a customer service, lack of communication and unprofessionalism issue. I was even told that they would ask their supervisor if I could at least get a $50 credit. That seemed to be an amicable solution seeing as I am not upset about the downtime between 8/18-9/9. I am upset about the 9/9-9/26-time frame. A $50 credit for the company and ultimately, it's employees for failing to deliver a service promised to me at a specific time and date is not a lot to ask. read more
