I enrolled…read moremy oldest child there 13 years ago, and we've continued to return month after month, year after year, because of how impressed we are with the facilities, the coaches, and the way the owners run their family-like business. Over the years, I've visited/been part of many tennis clubs throughout this state, and this is the one where I feel most comfortable, welcomed, and actually heard when I have something to say or have a question. Between the Windsor and Manchester locations, they feature 12 beautiful courts, updated facilities, excellent lighting, and a wide selection of tennis apparel. The courts are always clean and free of debris, and the nets are consistently set at the proper height. In 13 years, I have never seen a light out--they are clearly diligent about maintenance. There is also a lovely kitchen area, which is especially convenient when waiting for your child to be done with their lesson during a busy week, a ladder match, or a tournament. The pro shop offers a great selection of tennis rackets and shoes at fair prices. If they don't have a specific item in stock, they are more than willing to order it for you. Both the club and the academy have numerous coaches with years of experience. With three children at different skill levels, we've had the opportunity to work with nearly every coach. Each one brings their own expertise, knowledge, and constructive approach, tailoring their instruction to benefit each child individually. Having access to multiple coaches is a real advantage--not only for scheduling flexibility, but also because it allows students to learn from different perspectives and develop a variety of techniques. This helps your child reach their full potential--not just on the court, but also by understanding how they learn best as an individual. It also teaches them how to collaborate with others, a valuable skill that will benefit them throughout their life. These coaches help them to come out of their shells and gain confidence on and off the court. I have also seen several clinics over the years where students with a variety of different learning needs have their needs met. It's truly wonderful to see all children given the opportunity to get out, be active, and participate--regardless of their learning differences. I've spent countless hours watching my children play and observing how the owners interact with both current and prospective clients. They are very clear about their policies--whether in membership contracts, on their website, in person, or through regular email reminders. Like any well-run business, they expect clients to follow the rules and regulations of the club, much like an umpire ensures players follow the rules of tennis. Being held accountable, a key component of life! They are transparent, professional, and consistently communicate expectations. Most importantly, they are warm, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to help meet your needs to the best that they can. This is the first review I have ever written for anything, so why now? I've been with this facility for 13 years, and my oldest is about to finish her chapter in high school and move on to bigger and better things. It feels like the perfect time to give back to a place that has been everything I've mentioned and more. Again, I've had the privilege of watching all three of my children grow and develop in their tennis game here. In addition, this facility and the people in it have helped support and shape them into strong, confident individuals, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.

I was unimpressed with Magic Lincers service. Online it says there is a fee of $40 for a court per…read morehour, and then with non member tax it ended up being $80 which is way overpriced. Then the remodel on the inside was lacking. The service was poor as the lady running the place had an attitude. There were blue marks all on our new tennis balls. They required tennis shoes to not scuff the courts but the courts were extremely scuffed. Would not recommend. East Hartford's racquet club charged less for more time and a better environment to play in.

Dwyer Park is East Hartford's soccer Mecca. There are eight soccer fields and every weekend in the…read morespring and fall there are tons of games going on from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There is a little bit of parking and frankly not much else to do here. If you'd like to walk your dog make sure you bring a pooper scooper bag please. There are exactly three swings. There is one tiny basketball court. There is no playground no equipment no baseball field no tennis courts just soccer soccer soccer.

There is a small beach with a pond; it is fenced in and opens seasonally. There is a picnic pavilion with a few picnic tables and a fireplace. Behind the pavilion is a basketball court. The playground is on sand and has a few swings, a slide, a playscape, a ball pit, and a bench. There is also a soccer field and little league baseball field. I did see a porta potty available. The place was so quiet, I heard water flowing. After further investigations, I noticed there is a brook behind the playground. I think this is a nice recreation complex and it was a peaceful spot to relax and let the kids release some energy. If you have young toddlers, I would keep an eagle eye on them because of the brook nearby. If you drive further up Foote Rd., the Burlington Falls is located there.

A park with a…read moreschool Eisenhower Park opened back in 1969 and was initially in a pretty isolated place. A nice little neighborhood park that fit in nicely between the streets. That all changed in 1971 when the new high school opened right next door. The park is still a nice place but definitely not as quiet and peaceful as it was during the first years of it's life. It can actually be difficult to find the park because of the large high school athletic fields right next door. The park does have two swimming pool, basketball courts, baseball field, soccer field, picnic area and lots of room for running around. Some really good hoops use to be played here in the past but I'm not sure if such competitive games around still around. One of the five neighborhood parks in West Hartford and perhaps the least known to people outside of the area. It still is a nice park to play some ball, go swimming and just spend some time outside.,

During winter play the staff is accommodating and really nice. Easily as important is that the folks that play there of all abilities create incredibly fun play. Coming in the future are dedicated indoor pickleball courts!
