I was nicely greeted and waited on. I didn't see what I was looking for so I asked. Just giving a fare chance and to avoid going elsewhere. Someone came from the back to find me a foot spa. Words mean something.. I was asking for a foot pan so they placed the foot pan and a foot spa on the counter and let me choose. I will most definitely be back to shop here because I saw a price for an item that was $21 and I paid $39 . The value and prices are more accommodating here. For the record!! I do recommend Hollis Drugs & Surgical Supplies. WHY? They have affordable prices, good quality product, and very good customer service, but the important reason is, availability. Ridiculous…read more Requested 90 day refill, provided credit card number and told them I'd pay the entire amount. They sent a 30 day refill to wrong address. Said insurance would not approve more than 30 days at a time. So now I'm out of country, traveling, and out of my meds. Who cares about insurance, I'm their customer and willing to pay. Whether and when I get reimbursed is my business, between me and my medical insurance. My doctor and my pharmacy need to do what I, not my insurance, tell them to do. I go to my doctor for medical opinions and my pharmacy for prescription fulfillment. They all work for me, thank you very much. My insurance is for when I have something catastrophic happen. I don't need my doctor, my pharmacy (or my financial advisor) taking ANY guidance from my medical insurance company. What a joke. I would have been better off if I'd told them I have no insurance.

After being with a major pharmacy chain for years and enduring long hold times on the phone, being…read morehung up on, and being ignored, the service I experienced at Katz could make me cry tears of joy. I recently had medication called into the major pharmacy chain. The medication was called in on a friday at 9AM. The medication was NOT ready at 10AM the following day. When i called to seek guidance on the medication, I was placed hold for 30 minutes and then deliberately hung up on. I called Katz and someone picked up the phone almost immediately. I spoke to the pharmacist who took all my information and initiated a transfer of my medication from the big pharmacy to Katz. This call took place at 1030 AM - at 11AM THE SAME day, i received a call with details about a possible hold on my insurance and after discussing, I was able to push through and my medications were ready at 12PM. I appreciate the service here at Katz and I will be sending all future scripts to them from here on out.
