This was a quick and easy rental I was able to facilitate on a Sunday online and by the end of that day all of my things were stored securely. The unit was clean and my items were never damaged by the elements in this climate controlled unit during the 12 weeks of summer. Susan is an excellent communicator and always responded promptly. I'd like to echo the comments of the other reviewer here. Essentially, I'm confused as to why the owner of this place (Gary) chose to erect a storage facility when he hates having people on his property. Due to the fact that he hates having people on his property, the list of rules he has for this place are incredulous. You will be inundated with fine print and at the end of the day, you will probably be charged some sort of fee because you broke a rule. As the previous reviewer commented, he has no ability to think outside of the rules that he's created and treat people humanely. There are tons of storage options out there. Honest mistake: Missed the sign on the gate that says No Tresspassing (yeah "Tresspassing"...on the property that holds all of your belongings that you pay to store there) after 8pm til 7am. And instead of being a reasonable human and letting me at least walk on foot through the little unlocked gate next to the big automated gate for cars, Gary calls the cops on me and they tell me to come back during business hours! Couldn't even call me and tell me himself! I had JUST written him an apologetic email from the driveway explaining how sorry I was to bug him at 9pm, I thought I would just key my code, pull in, and be on my merry way and to please call me, I was going to stick around for a second to see if he'd give me permission when the fuzz pulls up behind me, spotlights and backups and may I have some ID. Way to go, Gary Profenno. This was after I had to pay him $25 earlier in the day to come sort out my contract because even though I had been sitting there since 3:30 talking to his rude, terrible call center in Arizona, he pulled in at 4:10 which then sent me into the after business hours category. Which costs $50/hour or minimum $25 for any personal attention you require. Which only entails him walking 15 feet out of his door because he lives on the property. All we needed to sort out we're my signatures on receipts for the rent he had already charged my card for previous months. I had to pay him to take my money. And then he told me it said on his website they were closed today. Right. Because we all check people's websites at 2pm on a Tuesday when we're going to a self-storage property. I talked to someone earlier in the day so I thought the office was manned. Would have been nice to know back then that it was a call center in Arizona. Not the mom and pop situation you signed up for. I've been renting here for three years and only come maybe 5 times. I've been a great, preemptive, organized customer that lives out of state and the one day I have scheduled in my vacation to move out has been the most frustrating waste of time and money. And it's not just today that nobody's in the office. I'm not sure he's ever been in the office on the other occasions I've visitied so be prepared to call ahead of time and ensure someone will be in the office each time you ever need something from them. It's been a lot of hand-holding and legwork dealing with this place when it should just be "ok you take my money, now I go access my things." Easy as that everywhere else in the world. I must say that I completely disagree with the two other reviews here. I've rented from Gary for several years now. His facility is very clean, neatly maintained, and very secure. I have never worried that my camper would be at risk while on his property. I have no doubt that he is vigilant about security, as he does live there. While there may be rules and guidelines, I found them to be very simple and easy to abide by, as they were not in the least unreasonable. read more
