If I can put 0 stars I would I do NOT recommend you coming here with them customer service is the worst here had so many issues with customer service very disrespectful employees and I got hung up on the phone which is very disrespectful of them. Mind you every time I had to add a vehicle it was $50 and to remove a vehicle $50 so if you get a new car and want to add your new car and remove your old one just know your going to have to pay $100 just for that change which is ridiculous. The only time they wanted to fix the issue with us is because we finally put our foot down and decided to leave freeway and go to AAA which I am so happy we did we pay much less than we did with freeway. I gotta say this place is amazing. Every interaction I've had with any employee here has been very pleasant. Especially with Heidi. She has been so extremely helpful with helping me find new car insurance after being in a car accident. I felt like I don't know what to do and was nervous and stressed about it all but she has truly rid me of so many worries. She's incredibly professional, kind, and extremely good at her job. I had a terrible experience with their customer service. I took out a policy for my car yesterday but canceled it the next business day as I had already returned the car. When I called to cancel, the representative (Jessica )sent me a cancellation paper which I signed. Later, she called me again and said that she had sent me another paper to my email and needed my signature. I was driving at that time and didn't have a good connection, so I asked her about the paper. However, she told me that she didn't have time to answer my questions and had to leave. On Thursday January 21, 2021 I stepped into this location around 4:00 pm. A young man (FREEEWAY INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE) sitting on the front right desk "assisted" and lied to my face about my current car insurance (issued by Freeway Insurance). In a nutshell; my insurance was canceled because they had the wrong account and contact number. This young man said that the program my policy was under was canceled and that nothing could be done, then said not to worry that he was going to help me and layered his weak sales persuasive speech with crap. I have work in the sales industry long enough to smell unethical salespeople and smelled his dishonorable work ethic. I had recently purchase insurance coverage almost three months ago and paid a $300 downpayment and this boy was trying to have me pay another $300 in two arranged payments LMFAO. I heard all his lies about why there was no way FREEWAYINSURANCE could reinstate my current car insurance and when I questioned why, and why I had to lose my previously paid $300 he said to me " Why you have to be like that, you are not going to get no where like that". I got on the phone with corporate and drove to the actual location where my insurance was initially purchased. (Initial purchase was done over the phone at Compton Location) At the location in Campton 1210 N. Long Beach Blvd Agent Carmen and Assistant Manager Pedro Bernal were able to provide true and ethical customer service. Corporate advised that I had 30 days after cancelation day to reinstate my insurance policy, time period that i was still under to do so. Pedro and Carmen confirmed that with me, updated the correct info in their system and took my monthly payment plus a service fee and penalty fee (penalty fee that I still question since the mistake was from their end) all under $150. Im deeply thankful and satisfy with Pedro and Carmen for doing the right thing, most of us have been impacted by COVID and are struggling. $300 is $300 during this time and any other time. Someone once told me that Selling is what a Salesperson does, I agree! However I am a Successful sales person and had build an amazing clientail! One of my methods of achievement; HONESTY! I worked with Vanessa Ortiz vanessa.ortiz@freewayinsurance.com at this location. I had the absolute worse experience with her. I should have known by how pushy she was being from the start. I really needed insurance ASAP and the price that she was offering wasn't that bad. The down payment was crazy but the payments weren't that bad. We talked about a certain document that I needed, Vanessa let me know it was included and that they would send it to the DMV for me once we completed everything. She said if I added my bank information my payments would be $5 cheaper so I gave her my bank info.. Come to find out she never entered my bank information and instead put the auto pay on my credit card without my permission. A few weeks later I get a letter from the DMV saying my license was going to be suspended since they never got the form that was needed. I called Vanessa back and all she said was "I don't recall." We had talked about it so many times because that was the most important thing.. but she didn't know anything about it and started getting really rude with me. She said it would be $1 to add her and why do I have to pay for this if it was supposed to be added already. Her response was "It's $25 now" and I asked why? Vanessa continued to say "Since you have a problem with the $1 is now $25". I couldn't believe what she was saying and rude she was being. She was just being so NASTY. I said please add the form and send it to the DMV, I'm going through a lot in my life right now and I just need this taken care of. Vanessa's response was "You aren't the only one going through things in Life" and hung up on me!!!! It was all so horrible... I called back twice (323-503-9896) and she finally picked up.. I begged her to help me with this form and after some time she took my payment for the $1, added the form and said it would be electronically sent to the DMV. It's been a week and a half, I go to the DMV (because I now have to pay $55 to reinstate my license) and the form is still not on file. I'm SOL now. Apparently when I called the insurance company on 7/2/2021 to cancel my card on file, they canceled my whole policy. At this point I'm happy they canceled the policy. After my 1 year policy was up, they autobilled me for a renewal TRIPLE the price. Trying to cancel the policy and refunded was a nightmare. They connected me with Western General insurance, which is a company that doesn't talk to their customers directly, only through the agents from insurance brokers. None of the agents at Freeway insurance would help me cancel my policy, everyone was passing the buck and telling me to talk to someone else. I had to make a big stink with Western General to get them to cancel my policy with me directly because no insurance broker would do it on my behalf. Earlier this year Western General went out of business and has some type of settlement case going on.
