Due to my policy not being cancelled on a timely manner, it was sent to collections! I was told by the Norwalk location it was taken care of not after the first but 2nd, 3rd time of calling and speaking to multiple representatives/agents . The store manager still has not returned my phone calls . First i'd like to say Freeway will say what you want to hear gives you the best rates. BUT after i was sold my insurance with Stonewood Insurance i started getting all these documents requesting vehicle usage, exclusions which im fine with but then they want a valid license when i SPECIFICALLY told them i didn't have one and they said at the moment it was fine now my policy is pending cancellation because of this. When I first came to Freeway I honestly believe this other rep was new and ended up giving me a wrong quote. I was upset because when I've gone back she was no longer at the Lakewood location. How do you answer a phone call before helping someone in person!? Freeway Insurance does not know about ethics and customer service. I was insured with them and requested a quote for adding an extra vehicle. I found a better deal elsewhere and decided to cancel my policy. I called and they said I would have to come in the office in person to do it. When I arrived, the female agent began asking 1000 and 1 questions as to why I switched insurance. I told her I got a better deal. She was not satisfied and kept on asking more questions. I asked if she could just cancel the policy and stop being so intrusive. Then, she went to the manager and whispered in his ear. He (Robert, the manager) advised her to let me know that instead of coming to his office, I needed to call the 800 number to have it canceled. After having driven 20 miles and wasted my lunch hour, they told me I needed to call the 800 number. I was upset, stood up and demanded that he cancel my insurance that I no longer needed. With a combative stance, Mr. Robert said that I was being rude and he would not help me. HE WAS OBVIOUSLY UPSET THAT I WAS SWITCHING INSURANCE COMPANIES. I kept insisting that the only thing I needed was my policy canceled. I think he was embarrassed because there were other customers there and with a negative attitude, he agreed to go ahead and cancel my policy. I called the complaint hotline and told them what happened. I hope they see a pattern here and do something about it. I am sure there are other people that have complained about the same issue. PLEASE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEIR PRACTICES ARE DECEPTIVE AND THEY POCKET ALL THE HEFTY DOWN PAYMENTS THEY REQUIRE. GO WITH A REAL INSURANCE COMPANY. read more

This place has poor customer service, starting with the Manager (Robert). Melina Layton is the worst, she need attitude adjustment poor woman she must hate her job how sad. I also contacted the complaint hot-line number to report how I was being treated by this agent and that the manager was sitting across from her and did not even tried to stop her. I was so upset on how this woman was talking to me with attitude because I had asked her what were the extra charges that was on our statement that were never expressed from the beginning, we were confused about. She said that policy is under my daughters name she refuses to talk to me about it when both my daughter and I were sitting at her desk.
