ive had this insurance for two years I've never had a problem it.When I brought my new car i asked to add it to my policy and take my old car off the broker started a new policy without telling me well continually reassure me that he wasn't. He charged me 280 that day then a month later i was charged another 200 for no known reason .All for a new policy that i didn't ask for I needed up paying 480 when I was told 280. He also changed my insurance without telling when so I spent a whole day on the phone with the wrong people. When I had enough I went the an actually freeway store they were more helpful there but In the end they couldn't help me either. Extremely mad and disappointed that the broker was allowed to lie to me which costed me almost 500 dollars read more

Compared to other auto insurance companies I have had in the past I never had an issue with Freeway Insurance. They have always been courteous and honest and their roadside assistance was fast and wasn't a hassle at all. I did the paperwork for one of those others in less than 1 hour. hint: geico/mercury,/usaa are competitive... The Freeway staff was courteous, but badly trained. You get a good price, however, their service is completely awful. I say this as I am number 45 in line, on hold for 40 minutes, just waiting to get verification of insurance. Not only is their service not good, the insurance they contract you out to is terrible. In my case it is Western General. I should have read the reviews before choosing this insurance. If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a collection or something of the most unprofessional and audacious cretins I've ever had the displeasure of having dealt with. The staff are rude, short, irresponsible, and discourteous. I have on average waited 40mins to 1 hr per instance to just speak to an imbecilic rep whom will typically put me on hold again or shift me over to the customer service line to wait again without any effort to resolve my issues . I wouldn't sign up for free healthcare from these guys much less depend on them to do their job or any job. That they are still in business speaks to the level of depravity that they operate at and with. My mother has been with them for 19 years , and we are finally going to leave them . I'll call Freeway Insurance told me my quote for full coverage was $250 I went in and it cost me $450 cuz I needed to get my car off the lot I made payment plans to the broker my first payment was $40 at a 200 that left me with $160 when in the 18th and paid him $40 they took out $160 the 19th out of my credit card which Max my card out and then when I call him back today which is the 31st and ask him if there was any other payments the broker herself the broker herself told me she don't carry my account laughed and hung up it's a very bad place to be I wouldn't get no insurance there and I cancel my insurance policy as of the 8th of it I went to Allstate and I was paying $137 at freeway for $9 more I got full coverage like I asked for on my vehicle deductibles on Windows and everything roadside assistance and all so there's a difference in the prices the license people need to take a look at her background and I hope she gets a dog for it read more

This update is LOOONG overdue. Well I should have known by reading these reviews that my experience would soon be the same. It's true that you don't know how an insurance company will treat you until you need them. Either if your involved in an accident or (like in my case) they mess up and charge you for months on something that should've been cancelled a long time ago. I cancelled an insurance on one car (went in and signed the paperwork), but they kept charging my acct for months. I called the insurance and they said that Freeway never sent them the cancellation form. I called freeway and they said they sent it out and later they said they "found" the paperwork and would resend it. Both the Insurance co and Freeway said that the other should pay me back my money that they took. I spent MONTHS going back and forth trying to get my money back. Every time I called Freeway, it took super long for them to get to me, if at all. And every time they got on the phone they said, "I thought that you got your money back already" I never received a phone call from them asking me if I got my money. Eventually I got a check for ONE month's worth. Freeway said that they would again contact the insurance company to get my ENTIRE money back. They failed to do so. I have received way more phone calls from them asking me if I NEED insurance than them asking me if I got my money back. Till this date I have yet to receive my money. And I have called numerous times over several months. I regret giving them ANY stars let alone a five star review. It seems they are more interested in getting new contracts than to actually help out their existing customers. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Beware!!!!! read more

The claims department is the worse of the worse!! Every time I called it said a default message about calling after 2 pm but then when u did call bck after 2 p.m u dont ever get to speak to anyone...lorena quinn(adjuster) is a joke...it took me to call her supervisor to get her to call me back.....
