The truck was more than 30 minutes late after letting us wait for 45 minutes. Was quoted over the phone $165 for drop off and $15 per mile. Sounded reasonable so we had the car towed to a repair shop one mile away. The total should be $180. But the catch is that the prices is only for cash. To use credit card the surcharge is $55, making it $235. This credit card surcharge at more than 30% is the most outrageous that I ever encountered. If the driver informed us the surcharge over the phone when giving quote we would have chosen someone else. Felt being tricked. So be very careful to watch for bait and switch trick if you decide to use this service. read more

I called Freeway and got an estimate and ordered the tow. as soon as I hung up the first place called back and was much closer and much cheaper. I called the driver from freeway immediately and asked was it too late to cancel. he said NO so I canceled and went with the closer and cheaper option I needed to get to work. the operator text me saying why did I cancel and started going off on me about how busy they were and don't waste their damn time again. Ripped me off! The driver refused to tell me the rates before hand. When we got to our destination he looked me in the eye and said it would be $150 plus $20 hookup fee. $170 sounded like a fair price to me. I gave him my card and he charged me. These guys dragged my car onto the flatbed because it was locked up and wouldn't go into neutral. I have a Prius. They bent the tire rod and then denied it. When I was talking to the tow truck driver, he said he knew how to get it into neutral but he would have to go through some steps to do it so he didn't do it. This was a surprise to me. As far as the tire rod, when I finally got my car back from my trusted mechanic, he told me about the problem and gave me the tire rod to look at. It would have been easy for them to remedy this by offering to take care of the cost of a new tire rod but they hung up on me when I called to tell them about it and wouldn't even consider that there was a right way to treat people. There's other details about my experience that I won't go into, but I will say that I don't think this company has any integrity and might damage your car. read more

I had a mobile mechanic come out Saturday, they were with EMS mechanics, looked under the hood and attempted to jump it. Nothing, and charged me about 100$. These guys came out, looked under the hood of my car, noticed the dimming lights and was able to jumpstart my car with a mobile little jumpstart kit. He then told me I needed a new battery and showed me that it was bloated. He gave me the name of the battery and the cheapest option. (Autozone).
