The ladies behind the counter are consistently friendly, which makes it one of my favorite stops coming from Maryland. Most of the time, I stop there to refuel and use the restroom, but I've always been tempted by the fresh, homemade-looking food. On this visit, they had fried pork chops that looked like they had just come out of the pan, so I finally decided to try them and I'm glad I did. Karis Was more than willing to help me. She helped me make the selection, schedule the delivery, and even took the time to hand write a note from me to my doctors office after I typed it and emailed it to her. The cookies were delivered on time, as promised and we emailed me the electronic invoice which I was able to pay online. How convenient! They even sent a photo so I could see the final product that was delivered! I highly recommend this bakery and I will be back!

Anyway, I purchased 3 cupcakes (carrot cake). The frosting was pretty good and the presentation was excellent. I did not enjoy the cake portion at all. It was too moist and soft and didn't complement or stand up to the frosting. I honestly make better carrot cake from scratch than what I paid for. Perhaps this store is still moving in, and that would totally make sense that not everything looked put together and the quality was not what I would expect. I actually didn't even see a napkin dispenser either. I would expect to see more items like brownies and various cookies for this location, especially as the building is more kid focused. I really hope a small local business does well, but I am not sure they have the right items for the location, nor the correct pricing for what one gets.
