Piperade omelette with added heirloom tomatoes
    Jessica M.

When I say this place is small., it's an understatement. It's tiny, only expanded during the summer months when it's nice enough to occupy one of the few tables outside. BUT with that being said, it's one of the mdot delicious and underrated spots in traverse city- especially for breakfast. I came early during off season, and was lucky enough to snag a table. I ordered the piperade omelette, and added some heirloom tomatoes. When I tell you this was hands down one of the most delicious- and well executed omelettes I've ever had in my life. Fresh ingredients, soft eggs. Just exactly what you want for breakfast. I also got some of the house made biscuits and jam to take with me.. and dear lord, good thing I only got 1 order. I probably would of ate multiple- by myself. Romos pro tip: if waiting isn't your strong suit, order a togo and walk across the parking lot to the beach overlooking the bay. Makes a perfect way to start your morning!

This is the cutest atmosphere! The garden seating is so quaint and adorable. The server was friendly, the food was tasty.

    Italian Omelette

Charming joint tucked away on a side street, just a block from the bay. Interesting, carefully composed dishes for adventurous folk like me. Solid standards for non-adventurous folks like my wife. Elise was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine. I ordered the Italian omelette, which was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The side of toasted French bread and raspberry jam was heavenly. I will be back to explore the rest of the menu.

One of the best breakfasts in Michigan, or anywhere else, for that matter. Tiny place but charming and so worth it.

It has even been…read morevoted the number one in the city, so I knew I couldn't pass up another opportunity to dine here. Interesting enough, this is actually a hotel restaurant! So, I was expecting the food to be slightly overhyped. But, I was definitely wrong. I went with a colleague of mine and we were lucky enough to stop by during their happy hour so, we went all out on the appetizers. We ordered their calamari, the sliders, the beef Korean tacos, and the flat bread. Immediately I was blown away by how fresh the food was. Particularly the Thai calamari. As for the Korean beef tacos- the beef was so tender! The protein on the sliders was tenderloins and those were equally delicious. The flat bread surprised me a bit! Ingredients include hummus, feta cheese, spinach, tomatoes and an additional assortment green veggies. So I was expecting it to be a cold dish but it was actually warm. The bread was exceptionally soft. There was not one mediocre thing that we ordered, everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The interior isn't much to look at, like I said the restaurant is located inside a hotel. However, with food that tasty who cares about the interior design of a restaurant! If you are ever in traverse city, NOT dinning at the Reflect Bistro will be doing a massive disservice to yourself!

While on our annual mother/daughter trip to the Leelanau Peninsula we found Reflect Bistro on Yelp…read moreand decided to give it a try. What we didn't know was Reflect has been consistently voted the number one restaurant in Traverse City year after year. I usually take that with a grain of salt because there's so many wonderful farm to table restaurants and unique dining experiences in TC. It takes quite a bit to stand out and to make it to the top but Reflect Bistro is worthy of the hype. We were surprised to find out it's located in inside the Cambria hotel. A top rated restaurant in a hotel? Yes absolutely. Skipping lunch we decided to have an early dinner and arrived during Happy Hour. On Happy Hour drinks are 20% off and they have small plates and select appetizers on special. Our bartender/waitress was excellent. She made great suggestions. My mom and I shared the whitefish pate appetizer (on the HH menu) which came with warm fresh seasoned ciabatta bread. We each ordered our main course off the dinner menu. I went with the seafood pot pie. It came highly recommended by both our waitress and the couple sitting next to us. Lobster, scallops, shrimp, vegetables and redskin potatoes in lobster cream sauce all served in a puff pastry shell. To use a baseball colloquialism: they knocked it out of the park! Last but certainly not least the Pappardelle fruit de mur with a creamy clam sauce was another winner. It had lobster, shrimp, and scallops mixed throughout and then was topped with fried calamari. The portions were generous and we each had enough for a doggy bag. Reflect Bistro is definitely a place we will be revisiting on our next trip!

That being picky though, the place feels welcoming and is brightly lit and feels well cared for. I ordered the Pot Roast ($20). It's described as slow roasted with carrots and onions and mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. The meat was tender and delicious. the gravy was perfect without overpowering. The carrots and onions were a great compliment. Plus the real mashed potatoes were made to perfection. Smooth, yet still had the potatoness to the texture. The taste was one of the better mashed potatoes I've had in TC. I don't know what they do th their TC Cherry Coke, but it is spectacular. Lastly for dessert I got their Lava Cake ($7), it was fine, but disappointing after such a great meal. I don't know if it was from frozen or what. However the texture was a little off andvthe taste was only okay. I wouldn't get it again. The service was very friendly and super helpful. Overall a 4 1/2 star review. Since I have to round, I'm going to forgive the dessert and give a full 5 stars. Would I return? Absolutely. Especially if I'm craving Pot Roast.
